Few Days Later

Aarav was knocking the room door from past 5 minutes and finally his Maa opened it. She was fiddling with her Dupatta trying to hold it back in place.

Khushi: Aarav? You back baby? You were supposed to play Cricket with your friends. What happened?

Aarav: We finished the game and I won Maa.

He got inside the room and saw his father resting on the bed only in his trousers and turning the laptop On.

Khushi: You finished the game? So early?

Aarav was too busy in finding his Video game now but Arnav didnt mind answering his wife.

Arnav: Khushi? Its been 2 hours he was playing out .

2 hours ? 2 hours pass so early, she thought and came back on bed , beside Arnav. She neatened the bed sheets and then moved closer to him. She wiped her lipstick mark which was visible on his chest before Aarav could notice it. What would they reply if Aarav sees it ? That they had taken his demand of having a sister too seriously? Arnav pulled her towards him while she kept denying because Aarav was in the same room. Before Aarav could turn towards them she pushed Arnav away. Arnav smirked at her.

Khushi: Aarav, you must be hungry. I will make some snacks.

Aarav: No mumma. I am going to Aditya's home. He wants to see my Video game. I will be back in some time.

Aditya was their neighbours son and Aarav's good friend. Aarav rushed out of the room. Khushi followed him and asked the maid to drop Aarav safe in Aditya's home . She was still at the lobby seeing her Son leave when she felt kisses on her neck. Arnav wrapped his arms around her waist.

Khushi: Arnav ? I have to cook.

Arnav: We will order something later. Aarav is not going to be back soon.

Khushi was blushing.

Khushi: So? Doesnt matter. Since how many days you havnt gone to work, do you even remember? Its been a week Arnav.

Arnav: I am managing from home.

Khushi: This is how you manage work from home? Making love to your wife whenever possible?

Arnav: You are wasting time Khushi. You know we have a motive to acheive. Aarav needs a sister. And being a good father, I dont wish to deny any wish of his.

Khushi chuckled as he picked her from the floor carrying her back to the room.

Khushi: At this rate he will not have to wait much. I am already feeling pregnant.

Arnav: Lets have a check up then. Tomorrow?

Khushi: No. Thats too early. Lets wait for some more days.

She kissed his cheeks, locking the doors as he could not do it. He was holding her in arms. They were very much time and opportunity conscious these days. Every single moment when Aarav was not around, they indulged into this love making activity, fulfilling each other's desires which they missed in past 5 years.

Few days Later

Arnav: NO. I am giving this news to him.

Khushi: Arnav, this is wrong. But fine. You give him this news and I will enjoy his reactions.

Aarav rushed inside the house after his school and came into the bedroom. Arnav caught him and placed him on bed.

Aarav: Daddy you didnt go office today ?

Daady': Umm. No. Because me and Mummy had been to the Dr.

Aarav: Dr? Why? Is mumma not well?

Khushi was holding her smile and feeling shy too. They had not informed anyone yet. Aarav had to be the first one whom they wished to share this news.

Arnav: Mumma is absolutely fine but the Dr Aunty has told that Aarav will be getting his sister or brother soon.

Aarav was delighted. He jumped with joy hearing this news. He hugged his Dad.

Aarav: I will get my sister or brother?? Really Dad? When ? Tomorrow?

Khushi gigled and took Aarav in her embrace.

Khushi: Not so early. You waited so long for your sister, so few more months. Then she will be with you forever. But it can be a brother too. So be prepared for both.

Aarav: No mumma , I want sister. I dont have a sister.

Khushi: Aarav. This is not in Mumma and Paapa's hands. God will give you the best baby. Okay? Now give mumma a kissi.

Aarav kissed Khushi and hugged both Arnav and Khushi. He was so excited that he rushed to Aditya's house to give him this good news.

Arnav: Aarav is right. What if we have a second Son ? Not a daughter?

Khushi: What can we do ? We are prepared for both, arent we?

Arnav: Yes. But I wont mind planning for a third. Who knows may be the third chance clicks and we get a baby girl.

Khushi's jaw dropped.

Khushi: 3 kids? No way. I am happy with two. Look how plump I am getting. You know Arnav, burning this fat after delivery is so difficult.

Arnav leaned closer and pecked her lips

Arnav: I have many ways to reduce that extra fat . Dont worry.

He was getting serious now and very much in mood to make love to his pregnant wife. She pushed him a bit.

Khushi: We have a baby inside. Will that make any difference if we do IT?

Arnav: It should not until we do IT safely.

Khushi: And how can we measure that safety? I am so new to his Arnav. When I came to know I was pregnant for Aarav, we were already on the verge of divorce. So we never touched each other after that news. But today, it feels so different to have your husband love you and pass his love to the kid which is in the womb.

Her eyes teared. Arnav wiped them gently.

Arnav: We are going to complete everything what we missed because of our faults. What I couldnt give you then, express my excitement knowing about your first pregnancy, I am going to bestow it upon you from today. You will never regert it Khushi, I promise.

She became emotional hearing his cheesy talks. She hugged him submitting herself completely in her husband's warmth. He made love to her as gently as possible, wiping all her fears and giving her pleasures which she always yearned for.

Few months Later

Khushi had completed her 7 months. These days she needed all attention from her husband and son. Thats why they both fed her Lunch/ Dinner at times to make her feel better. She had once again seen a vast difference in Arnav. He was taking care of her every single second which he missed during her first pregnancy. He fulfilled all her demands due to the mood swings. The excitement, fear and the nervousness inside her about this delivery had taken a toll on her and upon that like every wife she too was insecured of losing her husband's love because she didnt consider herself so charming and adorable anymore. Arnav was knowning every single issue she was having. The other night she was so desperate to make love that she convinced Arnav, it will not affect her or the baby and using every precaution made love to him . The consequences was that She slept till late afternoon that day and Arnav like a good husband managed to take a off from work, Sent Aarav to school and also cooked for his pregnant wife because eating outside food was not good for her health.

Garima came from Lucknow to stay with Khushi and Arnav because the next 2 months had to be critical for Khushi.

Days passed and finally Arnav and Aarav heard the cries of the baby in the Hospital. The Dr came out and gave a good news that Khushi had given birth to a baby girl. Aarav's happiness had no bars today . He jumped with joy and hugged his father. Garima thanked God and then when Khushi was conscious, Arnav and Aarav both went in to meet her. The baby girl was just like Khushi, very cute and whitish in complexion. Arnav kissed the baby and then the mother for giving him this gift.

Aarav: Mumma, she is so thin and so small. How will she play with me?

Khushi, Arnav and Garima shared a laugh hearing his thoughts

Arnav: Aarav, she will play with you when she grows up. But tell me one thing have you decided her name?

Aarav: Yes. I have decided. Anika.

He proudly stated the name which he wanted his sister to be called. Arnav and Khushi can never go against their son's wishes. And the name was really cute. They readily agreed.

Few Months Later

Khushi washed the milk bottle of Anika and dried it. Anika was 8 months old now and Aarav like an elder brother was taking good care of her. He was quite possessive about his sister. He never allowed his friends to touch her in the fear that she might cry. But she was a smiling baby always and little arrogant like her father. She never allowed anyone to pick her unneccessarily. If Aarav had got the innocence and charm of his mother, Anika had a stubborn nature like her father. But both the kids were apple of their eyes. They loved the kids equally. Garima had gone back to Lucknow and the couple got their much needed privacy again. Arnav hugged her from behind. He came early from work .He was doing this from few days to spend quailty time with his family.

Arnav: How was your day?

Khushi: Dont ask me. Anika and Aarav when together, they make me dance on their demands.

Arnav: And me?

Khushi could feel he was getting to the point.

Khushi: You are not less than the kids Arnav. I know why you came early. Dont even think of all that now.

Arnav: Khushi you are taking me wrong. I came here because Aarav was telling me something.

Khushi became serious.

Khushi: Aarav? What does he want?

Arnav : Actually he was telling me that Anika when grows up will not play basket ball with him. So he wants a brother now who can play such outdoor games. What do you think? Should we plan for a third?

He was joking . Khushi's jaw dropped hearing the request but soon when she saw a smirk on Arnav's face she realised he lied. SHe took the big Spatula from the counter and started chasing him for playing such jokes with her. He ran towards their room and waited for her to enter. The moment she came in, he locked the door.

Arnav: I succeeded.

Khushi: Kya?

Arnav: Forgot? What we challenged yesterday night? That without picking you in arms, if I manage to get you in the bedroom, in Aarav and Anika's absence, you will initiate the kiss. See. I won.

Khushi had almost forgot about this. She never thought he will take things so seriously. He pinned her to the wall behind and leaned closer.

Arnav: I am waiting Khushi. Ek kiss toh banta hai yaar.

He pouted and she melted seeing his expressions. She was quite shy to start a kiss like this but if her husband is so much in need, she can never deny. She wrapped her arms around his neck, dropping the spatula on floor and kissed him passionately. Their missing love was finally complete
