Part 2
Kria looked up wiping her tears. She rubbed her burning cheek. She could bet it would leave a huge hand mark.
She looked at Rey , he had his eyes closed. He was thinking about something.
"Rey?"
She whispered timidly. He opened his eyes.
"Will my death be harsh?"
Rey looked at her with a piercing gaze , making her whole body shiver with fright. Wrong question! She told herself and looked down.
"Your death will be way too harsh Kria. Harsher than any other deaths."
She could feel the coldness in Rey's voice. She held her dress tightly. She was frightened would be an understatement.
Well! If it was the few last hours of her life , why waste it with sobs. So she again did what she was best at.
"We could have settled with the quarter deal?"
She spoke sadly.
"I had plans you know! Plans to marry a guy of my dreams, do something for my mom."
She expected another yell or slap from his side , but was left astonished.
"You speak a lot! Still the same , ain't you Miss. Ghai?"
She looked up.
"H-how do yo-you know my sirname? Are you a future teller as well , like you know. Do you select your targets?"
"I just have a sharp memory! I mean , i remember you. The never ending blabber box!"
Kria pouts and her cheek hurt because of that. She rubbed it. Rey stared at her intently , she suddenly grew conscious about herself and shifted uncomfortably.
"Are you happy with your life Kria?"
His question , confused her. She looked at him. She nods.
"Are you very sure about it?"
"Yeah!"
Kria said. She was unsure herself. Her dad was an ass hole , and she had no guilt saying that. He was a money minded man. Too busy in himself to give a glance to his daughter. She was used to it , never a problem! Her mom was her everything , a sweetheart. But she was a bit protective and could never stand for Kria in front of her husband. She was okay with it as well. She was a fairly pretty lass herself , not the prettiest though , she was thin but not skinny , had shoulder length wavy hair. She was an irritating and blabbering machine , people found her amusing , she could make a fool of herself anywhere but she loved herself. Uh , basically she was happy the way her life was , full of imperfections. Her thought process was broken by Rey's voice.
"Do you feel any thing missing in your life? A void that needs to be filled?"
Kria looked at him. She was lost in her thought processes. Rey guessed her answer and smiled.
"Don't think about it. I got the answer."
Kria saw him smiling and her thoughts broke at once.
"You can smile? Oh my gosh! The bloody hell! You can smile!"
"Kria."
She heard his cold voice and looked at him.
"I am a human being! I ain't paralyzed. I can smile. It's nothing to be excited or surprised about."
"You are cold hearted. If you really were a human being , you would have not killed those 99 innocent souls."
"I'll correct you kria. 99 innocent and unhappy souls."
Before kria could reply , Rey spoke.
"Kria! Sleep. It will take us another one and a half hour to reach. You'll need a lot of energy!"
"Uh?"
"Don't force me to lose my temper!"
Kria nods quietly. She closed her eyes , but she was scared. Which normal person would fall asleep if they knew that they were going to die brutally in the next few hours.
She opened her eyes and saw Rey sleeping , but soon sleep took over her fear and she slept.
Rey opened his eyes and gave a sad smile. Assumptions!
It was like a part of his life now. Well , it had always been. Like , when the devil "assumed" that he is his follower and gave him a not so good "blessing" , when the people "assumed" that he was a monster and threw him out of the town alone and also when the people "assumed" he killed.
Who does that to a 7 year old kid! Okay , yeah he had special powers , but man! He was a normal kid , who was treated like a monster.
He took out a book and saw the name of all the 99 people , most names were cut except the name of number 87. The 10 year old kid , he had taken away two years back.
"Rey?"
His thought process was broken by her voice.
"Yeah?"
"I am hungry."
"Don't worry Kria , there is a buffet for every new soul that comes to hell. You'll be going there soon."
Rey spoke with a devilish smirk.
Kria stared at him in horror. She was blank , as if somebody had snatched her life away from her. Well , it was going to happen in few hours. But , you just can't scare the shit out of a person who already knows that they will die soon.
Mustering some courage , she held her cheek to avoid another slap and spoke.
"I have done enough good deeds. When I die i'll go to heaven."
"You do know , you don't have a choice?"
And immediately all her courage collapsed.
Rey was enjoying the dead scary expressions kria was giving.
Usually who all came with him were too quiet and some too depressed to speak anything , others remained confused. She was weird!
"What did you do to those 100 people?"
"Why do you bloody ask so many questions!"
Rey roared in anger , he hated when somebody broke his chain of thoughts , and she was doing it way too often , for him to control his out of the world , insane anger! Kria pulled herself close. She looked at him timidly and showed an action of zipping her mouth.
The carriage halted. Kria's heartbeats became rapid. She was shivering. She had reached her end.
Rey got down.
"Come out!"
He ordered. Kria closed her eyes and came down. She didn't want to open her eyes , fearing she will see skeletons or half eaten meat of innocent people.
She felt that she was alone. Had he gone? Had he gone to bring an axe to chop her head off , or prepare some stuff.
She opened her one eye , she saw a huge mansion. This! This mansion must have been a witness to some tragic stories.
She opened her eyes and saw the place. It looked like a garden. Huh? A garden!
The door opened and she saw a kid coming out merrily. He seemed to be around 11-12 in age. Wait! It was her neighbor! The guy Rey had taken away two years back.
Kria was bewildered. He was alive? Or was it his ghost roaming around!
What the hell , ghost!
She screamed , and fell down unconscious.

Kria felt herself on a comfortable bed , wait. Had she reached heaven? He had killed her already? But he had said he'll send her to hell right.
She opened her eyes. She was in a room. She rubbed her eyes , and pinched herself.
Ouch! No it wasn't a dream and no she wasn't dead. So , what had exactly happened?
Some knight in shining armor had come and save her from Rey? Not possible!
The door opened and Rey entered. Now definitely not possible. He gave her fruits to eat.
"You didn't kill me?"
"I take my time."
Rey replied uninterestingly.
"But fruits!"
"Just eat!"
Kria took the fruits and started eating quickly. Rey banged the door and went out.
She looked around. The door opened and she saw the same guy.
"Kria di? It's you right?"
Kria looked at him , she went pale. So the ghost speaks!
"I am no ghost! Very much alive."
He spoke guessing what she felt. Kria gave him a surprised look , he sat in front of her.
"I live with Rey bro! Better than staying with my so called father."
"You were supposed to be dead right?"
"Yeah! Even I thought I was going to die , but our assumptions were wrong. Rey bro , does not kill. In fact , I have the first lady whom Rey bro had supposedly kidnapped."
"Jack! I didn't get anything you just spoke right now."
"My mouth is zipped. I can't tell you more. All I'll say is loosen up , your not going to die!"
Kria looked at him.
"Trust me. You can see me alive right? And better than what I was back in town!"
"I can't seem to say anything , my mind is so confused right now."
He chuckled.
"Happens!"
Rey entered at that time.
"Jack! Why aren't you sleeping?"
"Bro , actually I wanted to talk to Kria di."
"No talking. Go!"
"But bro.."
"Don't make me lose my temper!"
Rey spoke authoritatively. Jack nods and turned to Kria.
"Well , you have to manage with his temper issues!"
Saying this he ran out. Kria looked at him surprised.
"You don't kill?"
"Nope!"
He spoke extremely casually and placed the glass of water beside her.
"Then why does everybody say so?"
"Everybody assumes so."
There was a complete silence , rey was taking out a blanket from the cupboard.
"Rey?"
Rey turned.
"What happened to those people?"
"Kria , I won't give you the answer. But I can give you a hint."
Kria nods.
"There was an emotion that was common between all of them , and I just changed that emotion."
Rey said so and went away.

Kria was having a restless night. The whole night she had been thinking what did Rey do to all of , what emotion was common between them?
Kria looked out of the window , it was still dark and she saw a figure near a tree , it was Rey!
He was sitting and talking to somebody. Actually nobody! There was no one there.
Shiver ran down her spine. What if Jack was still alive cause he was a kid? What if those people whom Jack had met were ghosts? What if Jack was a ghost?
Rey looked up to her window. Kria gulped.
"Sleep!"
His voice was so loud , and so bloody authoritative. She moved back in fright and sat on her bed.

He was frightened beyond limits , as he walked alone in this ferocious forest.
He wanted to cry of agony , but he knew crying couldn't take him back. He cursed his faith!
The only thing that made him keep on walking deeper into the forest was his powers. He knew he could easily dodge any animal.
Finally tired of walking! He sat under a tree , when he heard footsteps. Yes! His parents were back! He so knew they wouldn't have left him deserted.
But to his disappointment , he saw an old man.
"What are you doing here kid?"
Rey didn't reply. What would he say anyways. He was a 7 year old kid who was thrown out of his town! Such a cool description!
Sensing that Rey was not going to reply , the old man spoke.
"Are you the kid , I had been told to look out for?"
Rey looked at him with dejection.
"So , you mean to say that people are now given warnings to stay away from a 7 year old kid?"
The old man let out a chuckle. He nods in a no.
"I have been sent to teach you."
"Eh?"
"You don't have control on your obnoxious, powers. I am here to help you keep control on them!"
"I don't want these powers!"
He yelled , and his shrill voice echoed in the forest.
"Just tell that devil to leave me alone!"
He cried in agony. The man came to him.
"You can get rid of these powers only when you learn to control them."
The old man spoke.
