The whole town woke up hearing the noise. Mothers pulled their children close , fathers ran to bolt the doors tightly.
He was arriving!

Kria was wandering in the street. She had fought with her family again and thrown out of the house , again! She grumpily walked in the silent street when she heard the noise.
Fear overtook her. She stood rooted to the ground , shivering.
He was going to arrive and she was out! Alone! She looked around and banged a door.
"Please let me in!"
She cried. But the owners didn't dare open the door. Who would! She was in grave danger.
She slumped down timidly. Her eyes brimmed with tears.

Rey walked into the streets. He had heard the bang , which had announced his survival.
No soul was there , all had locked themselves in their houses. Cowards! Couldn't even fight back. He thought to himself as he strode down the streets , searching for a soul.
He could hear sobs. His eyes shot up , someone was out!
He looked around trying to find the owner of the sobs. Bam! He found her.
She sat timidly , cuddled to herself , crying. Knowing that she was going to meet her end.
He walked to her. She seemed to hear his footsteps and looked up towards him.
Her heartbeats grew faster! She stood up wanting to run away , but her feet betrayed her.
He clutched her arm. She stiffened! With all the will she had she tried to push him away , but he was strong enough to not leave her arm , that might have blue marks on it because of the deadly grip with which he had held it.
She winced in pain and finally gave up fighting. She turned around , and did what she was best at.
"See! I have just lived in this world for 24 years! I want to grow a bit older before I die. Even that bloody astrologist had said I'll live till I am 90! You know 9-0 90! Now you can't prove him wrong right? Let's just make a deal. Give me a quarter of my estimated life years to live and then you can take me away. I swear I'll come with you without any hesitation."
"Can you shut up?"
Kria zipped her mouth , hearing his anger filled voice. She looked at him through her tears.
"Can I at least wipe my tears? I am blinded by them."
"You have hands! Right?"
"They hurt."
Rey looked at her and wiped her tear. He then dragged her with him.
"If you can't give me even a quarter , can I meet my parents once?"
"Listen girl , if you speak another word. I'll hit you hard on your mouth and you'll never be able to speak again."
Kria gulped and nods. They strode past her house and she definitely heard her mother crying loud , knowing that her daughter was going.
Kria felt her heart twist and she sobbed again. It was like her mother heard her.
"Kria!"
Kria heard her mom trying to open the door but her dad was stopping her mom from doing so.
Kria let out another sob. He dragged her till the carriage. He put her inside sat inside as well.
"What will you do?"
She asked him. Rey looked at her.
"Kill you!"
Kria looked at him with horror , how bluntly he could say that. Killing somebody was so easy? Oh man! Why was she so shocked? He was Reyaansh!
The monster who would snatch away the lives of poor souls.
"Do you remember me?"
Kria asked. Rey looked at her with confusion. What was she talking about?
"I do remember you."
Kria continued.
"The 5 year old jerk , stealing toffees in school and hitting others. Asshole he was , still is."
"Shut up!"
She heard him slap her hard. Ouch! Her cheeks burned as fresh tears rolled down.
Yes! She knew this guy , he had once been a part of this society. The kid that was loved by everyone, even though he was obnoxious and an ass.
Till that day , when he was cursed by the devil. Well , actually blessed but it was more like a curse. Getting blessed by the devil ain't cool! He had been messing around near the church , joking about Gods! When supposedly the devil heard him and gave him an unimaginable power. Even if rey would touch someone , that person would go flying away. Well , he was a kid and had no control over it. People started staying away from him , till one day when he got so angry that he created a havoc in the town , the guy was 7 that time. People scared , threw him out of the town. Everything had been perfect till the next 7 years. When he returned. It was celebration time , the mayor's daughter was getting married. He snatched the happiness away! In front of everyone he held her and dragged her mercilessly , people tried to stop him but he was too powerful.
That was the last time they had seen the girl. Within few months , he returned and took another person. This happened more and more , and is happening since 10 years. He had taken at least 99 people and Kria was the 100th.
All had assumed he killed them. Only if they knew the truth.\
