Chapter 23:
Sanyukta regained her composure and started driving again.
Randhir: What happened? Why did you stop the car suddenly.?
Sanyu:Kuch nahi. Pata nahi kya hua tha!
In sometime Sanyu dropped Randhir at his guest house and went to her house. On her way she kept thinking about what Randhir said "Jo bhi act karna ho, just get the feel of it. Character pe uthro." She had reached home and was talking to herself in the car - " I used to tell the same to Gabbar. Can there be such a coincidence. But he never told whether friend' was boy or girl. Ugh! Why are things getting complicated day by day. Whenever I am with him, why do I get reminded of Gabbar. Yeh sab yaad aaraha hai sivai uski naam! How stupid of me? Bhai ko naam pata hai par he wont tell as I don't remember mishti's name. Kuch tho pata chale. Oh God please help me.!"
She got down from the car and went inside to see all of them wide awake and doing some chore except Ankit. Ankit saw her coming disturbed and asked her what it was. She said she was tired and just left it. They all had lunch and as planned they left to the mall for shopping only as no tickets were available for any good movie.
At the mall,
They all went roaming around the whole place. The girls were shopping in almost every shop and the guys had nothing much to do except carry the bags that kept accumulated when they went to the next shop. After a while , they stopped at a chaat shop at the mall to have something. While waiting for their order, Dhwani and Sanyu went to another store as they didn't wanna have anything. At the same time, Ankit got a call from an unknown number. The other present could here only one side of the conversation.
Ankit: Hello? Yes am Ankit Aggarwal Speaking? May I know who this is?. (After a pause, he continued) Am sorry sir we don't take up clients just like that. We have to discuss and then decide. Please contact our office for appointments and futher details. Thank you!
He cut the call and started munching his samosa channa which was getting cold. However, Randhir on the other hand was totally lost in his own world trying to decipher if he ever knew Ankit Aggarwal. Only when Jiggy hit him he came back to the present. Soon they all were about to leave and at that time they crossed a gift shop.
Parth: Sanyu? Chalo I will get a gift for you now.
Randhir: What for? Birthday hai?
Sanyu: Arey nahi! Bas aise hi I guess.
Parth: Aise hi? Whatever. Hmph.. I will get something and you better accept it.
Randhir and the rest just rolled their eyes. All of them went inside the gift shop.Well for two people, it reminded them of another person. Ankit was looking at a very simle glass case and Dhwani at a pen stand.
Flashback (14 years ago)
There was about an hour left for the Shekawats to leave to the airport. The elders were doing last minute checking, whereas the children (SanDhir) were fighting amongst themselves.
Sanyu: Gabbar! Just return my pencil box now!
Randhir: Never will I do that Basanti.
Sanyu: Look either give me my things or...
Randhir: Or what? Mummy se complain karogi? Aur kar bhi kya sakte ho?
Sanyu: Ugh! Mein aur kuch kar sakti hoon.
She immediately took his Piggy bank and started running from the room when she saw her Gabbar coming for her leaving WanKit behind in the room. Both of them were very quiet. Suddenly Dhwani spoke. "Chipkoo? What do you wanna do when you grow up?"
Ankit: Am thinking of becoming like dad.
Dhwani: Matlab ?
Ankit; You wont understand. Chodo. What about you?
Dhwani: Mujhe mamma papa se kuch alag karna hai.
ANkit: Like?
Dhwani: I dunno. Hmm.. Chip.. chipkoo?
Ankit: hmmm?
Dhwani: I wanted to give this to you.
She gave him a small gift which he took it in his hands and what saw brought tears to him. There was a beautiful blue colour glass case in which he could keep his glasses safely.
Ankit: Its so cute! How did you get this.
Dhwani(happily) : Piggy bank tod diya. Bhai ke saath gift shop gayi or leke aayi.
Ankit was touched by this act of hers and hugged her.
Ankit: Mujhe bhi rula diya huh? Waise I have something for you too.
Saying this he held out a gift to her. And she loved the gift given by him.
Ankit: Acha laga?
Dhwani: bahut. Tumhe kaisa pata hai that I wanted a pen stand? Kisi se bhi nahi kaha.
Ankit: Wahi tho. Am the best! (he raised his collors and tried winking which he failed miserably)
She laughed and hugged him , cried a little and asked - "Bhool tho nahi jaage na?" instantly came a reply - "Kabhi nahi . Aur tum?" "Mein bhi nahi"
Sanyu: Aap ro rahe ho?
Ankit broke the hug and said "Ofcourse not. Something went inside my eyes"
Before anyone else could say anything they all were called by their parents as they were getting late to the airport.
Ankit and Dhwani were brought back to reality when Kastuki called them and asked if they had anything to buy. Both of them took something and came to the billing counter. Soon everything was billed and they came out of the hall to go back home. The boys saw an ice cream parlor and wanted to have something. So they all went inside and ordered ice cream. Meanwhile, Parth had given the gift to Sanyu and asked her to open it. It was a collection of various dance styles by famous choreographers. To everyone's surprise all had bought gifts for each other except WanKit and SanDhir! So they just exchanged the gifts. Sanyu had bought a teddy bear and Randhir had taken a locket. Similarly Ankit had taken a glass case and Dhwani a pen stand.
Sanyu: hamare friendship ki first nishaani! Here take this.
Randhir: Thank you. And this is for you. Go home and open na!
After having their ice creams all went to their houses and were busy with opening their gifts. SanDhir and WanKit were surprised to see their gifts. Immediately all four of them sent a message to each other thanking for the gift which reminded them of their loved one.
Next morning, Sanyu went to NGO to teach the girls dance and came home by 12. Vidushi had prepared an extravagant lunch. As they were having, Sanyu remembered that she had to inform others that she was going to Mumbai for the new project. She gathered all her courage and spoke
Sanyu: Hmmm. Guys I have something to tell you important!
Parth: Kya? You like someone? (All started laughing)
Sanyu: Arey! Suno.
Vidushi: Bol na Sanyu.
Sanyu: I have to go to Mumbai after I take up the position of CFO and will be staying there till the project gets completed.
The whole table was silent. All had different reactions, except Ankit as he knew it already. Kastuki was excited. Vidushi was almost in tears and Parth - was expressionless.
Ankit: Kuch tho bolo yaar! (he patted Parth) Parth turned towards Ankit, then saw Sanyu and left the table immediately. Vidushi started crying and ran to her room. Sanyukta was also in tears now. Kastuki just hugged her.
Sanyu: Bhai? Kyun sab chale gayen?
Ankit: Princess they are all upset. Ab tum badi ho gayi. Ssshhh... (he took her from kastuki and hugged her to make her quiet)
After comforting for a while, Sanyukta went to her room. She took her mobile and thought of calling Randhir. Just as she thought she got a call from him.
Sanyu: He(hiccup) hello?
Randhir: Kya hua?
Sanyu:Kuch na(hiccup)nahi
Randhir: Ro rahi thi? Bata diya kya?
Sanyu: Hmmm
Randhir: Ek baat puchoon?
Sanyu: Hmmm. Pucho
Randhir: Why are you upset?
Sanyu: Because they are upset. They didn't speak a word. Vidu ro rahi hai, Par(hiccup) Parth tho Kuch bhi nahi kaha. Bas chala gaya!
Randhir: Give them time Sanyukta! They will be back to normal. Its a shock for them.
Sanyu (innocently): Sachi
Randhir (chuckled): Haan
Sanyu: Has kyun rahe ho?
Randhir: Kuch nahi. Chalo ab thoda rest karlo. Miltey hain. Bye!
Sanyu: Bye! (line got cut) Miltey hain? Aisa kyun kaha? Pagal!
Sanyukta changed her dress into shorts and t-shirt slept for a while. She had slept for quite a long time, that she got up only to the sound of calling bell at around 6. It kept on ringing and she got irritated and came out of her room angrily to see who it was. She saw two people seated at the hall. A man and a woman - pretty old in about 50s. She saw Ankit was happily talking to them , Kastuki serving them water, Parth & Vidushi were not around. She slowly walked up to them and Ankit saw her coming.
Ankit: Arey Sanyu, dekho kaun aaya hain? Ek minute .
He walked upto her and closed her eyes and brought her in front of the couple.
Ankit: Zyada chillana mat. In logo ko heart attack aajayga!
Sanyu: Kya bhai!
Ankit removed his hands from her eyes and let her see the couple sitting in front of her. The moment she saw, she was overwhelmed. She had tears in her eyes, she didn't speak for about 5 - 10 minutes. Her voice was choked.
Man: Beta? Tum teekho?
On getting no response , Ankit poked her and brought her back to the world.
Sanyu: AAAHHH!!!!!!!!
All of them closed their ears, just then Parth and Vidushi were entering the house hearing Sanyukta's scream were scared and rushed inside.
VidHarth: Arey Kya hua?
Ankit: Kuch nahi. She is just very happy!
Sanyukta stopped screaming after a while and hugged the couple.
Ankit: Princess. Enough. Your making it difficult for them to breathe.
Sanyu: God I missed you all so much! Pata hai? Kaise ho Harsh uncle, Renu aunty?
Harsh: We are doing good.
Renuka: How have you been? Congratulations CFO!
Sanyu: Awww thanks aunty! Aapko bhi pata hai? Nice!! So you guys are staying here only na? Where is your luggage?
Harsh: Princess we are here just for a day! We have to visit a few more places. We are going back tomorrow morning itself!
Renuka: We came here, thought we will surprise you! Kaisa laga?
Sanyu: Aunty. This is not fair at all.
Renuka: Arey princess. Tum log ab busy ho. We will come sometime later. Waise bhi till Mishti's internship gets over we will be in India only.
Harsh: Yes. So for time pass, Hum char bade aur ek aur couple jo hamare age ke hain planned that we will go on a pilgrimage tour.
Renuka: Yea. By then everything will be set.
Sanyu: Mishti yahi haina? Why not stay with us?
Harsh: Company has given her guest house. So she's staying there. And its close to her office from there.
Sanyu: oh!
Renuka: acha ok we are leaving now! We just came to meet you! Bye princess, ANkit, Kastuki, Parth and Vidushi.
Sanyukta hugged the two of them and walked them upto the gate to see them off. She stood there for a while with tears in her eyes and thought about her Gabbar until Parth called out to her. All of them were sitting in the hall and chatting.
Parth: Sorry Sanyu. I didn't know how to react then.
Sanyu: Its ok! I understand.
Parth: Ankit? Tujhe bhi aisa hi laga kya jab woh Ahemdabad se delhi shift ki?
Ankit: Arey nahi na, I was also here. But when dad asked me to go to Mumbai I was like you. Infact worse.
Vidushi: Kab wapas ayegi?
Sanyu: When the project gets over. I will keep shuttling a lot.
Vidushi; Hmmm.. jiggy aur Randhir bhi saath mein aarahe haina?
Sanyu: Yes!
Ankit: What will Dhwani do alone in the guest house. Isse acha tho yahi hoga ki she shifts with us. Waise bhi tum aur kastu will not be here. Right Parth?
Parth: Of course. Not safe for her to stay alone.
Sanyu: I will talk to Randhir.
Parth: Tum chodo mein baat karta hoon.
He took his cell and called Randhir.
Parth: Hello? Randhir?

Chapter 24: Mission Milaap - round 2(ting ting ting)
Parth: Hello? Randhir?
Randhir: Haan bolo Parth.
Parth: Well Sanyu just told us that you guys will be going to Mumbai soon. So Ankit and me we both feel that Dhwani should not stay at the guest house all alone.
Randhir: Yea I never thought on those lines.
Parth: Neither did we except Ankit. So we were wondering if she could come and stay with us here. Anyway Sanyu and Kastu will not be here, she'll have company too.
Randhir: I Guess it's the best thing. Thanks Parth.
Parth: Any day bro. ok take care. Bye
Randhir: Bye
Randhir was happy that he had an amazing group who were concerned for each other. Soon he was disturbed by another call.
Randhir: Haan bhaiya!
Vardhan: Randhir kal evening tum sab ko lekar ghar ajao. Ek important baat hai.
Randhir: Ok bhaiya!
Similarly Vardhan called Ankit and informed him to come along with everyone to his house tommorow. Next day as usual all of them got up and started to their respective workplace. Today Sanyu did not go to O&S Industries as it was not required and so she went to her office.
At O&S Industries Conference room,
Mr.Singh: Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Sorry for the urgent meeting. But Mr.Suryavanshi just wanted to ensure the calibre of the team. So I've asked them to come and now they are undertaking an aptitude test after which, the team will be decided.
Jiggy: Why what is the necessity Mr. Suryavanshi, I believe at the time of recruitment you would have tested all that.
Vardhan: Absolutely Mr Patel. We did at that time. But there are a few people who after joining will become complacent, so to show their place this is a method.
Randhir: So if they don't perform well they'll be fired?
Niharika: Of course not. But they will be given training and even if they don't pass in that, then they will be.
Jiggy: Oh so they are given chances. Nice.
There was a knock at the door, and a lady walked in with a number of papers which were distributed to Randhir and Jiggy, who at once set to their work. There were about 10 papers with 25 questions each.
After about 20 minutes, both of them had finished correcting the papers and passed it on to Vardhan and Niharika who further circulated it to other board members. After all of them had given their approval, Niharika asked a peon to come in and handed him a list of names who were to be called inside. The peon did so and 7 people came in - 4 girls and 3 boys.
Mr Singh: Congratulations guys. You 7 have been selected for this project. Introduce yourselves.
After all of them intorduced themselves Vardhan and the other board along with Randhir and Jiggy wished them indvidually and asked them to give in their best to make the project a success. Soon they were divided into two groups - 2 girls and 1 boy and 2 girls and 2 boys. They were informed that one team will consist of 5 members and the vaccancies will be filled in soon. They were asked to start their work soon as they would have to directly report to Randhir and Jiggy apart from reporting to Mr.Singh & Ms. Khanna.
After they all left, there was another knock stating Mr.Ankit Agarwal has arrived. Soon he came in and gave a broad smile to all the board members. Ankit was given the fund requried details and approved it. He informed that once the CFO has been appointed she would have to fo through it once again before applying for the loan and other legal compliance had to be dealt with.
The meeting was dispersed for lunch and all of them went back to their work places. Randhir and Jiggy were temprorily sharing a room which was located near the workstations of the team who had been selected for the project. Randhir and Jiggy checked the design made by the team as they had to wait to give introduction about the project as the team was not ready.
At around 6 all of them left home and immediately got ready to leave to Vardhan's house. All had dressed very casually. They reached Suryavanshi mansion after a while and settled themselves. After talking for a while, Vardhan stood up to make an announcement.
Vardhan: Ok guys suno. I have a good for nothing brother in law who is madly in love with a girl. So Niha and me have decided to get him engaged soon.
Sanyu: yoyo?? Wow!!!
Ankit: But where is he?
Niharika: Aatha hi hoga! There he is.
Ankit: Yoyo bhai!!
Yoyo: Hey Ankit, Sanyu, Parth, Kastu, Jiggy and Randhir. Vidu aur Dhwani kahan hai?
Jiggy and Randhir stood stunned when they saw Yoyo.
Vardhan: Arey itna surprised kyun ho? He is Niharika's cousin - Yogendar Singh he takes care of the operations at Mumbai.
Yoyo: Are Randhir, Jiggy kya yaar. Gale nahi milenge?
Randhir immediately hugged Yoyo, followed by Jiggy. Soon Vidushi and Dhwani entered. Vidushi immediately ran to Yoyo whereas Dhwani went and stood beside Randhir and Jiggy totally confused.
Yoyo: oh tho tum ho Dhwani! Hayeee Kitne soni kudi hai yaar. I Kruthi nu mile na si je, I hai si tuhade lai cuke !
Dhwani: What was that?
Jiggy: I think he just tried flirting with you
Vardhan: Yup that he did. In punjabi' Kyun Yoyo till ow you have not learnt Punjabi? Pata nahi how Kruthi fell for you.
Niharika: Chodo na. Dhwani, he's my cousin brother. He's getting engaged to his long time love - Kruthi.
Dhwani: Oh wow! Kab hai engagement?
Vardhan: I was thinking it should be done before you guys leave to Mumbai. So its about a month.
Niharika: And we have lots of work. So I want you guys to help us. Aur waise bhi, Kruthi is Vardhan's best friend's sister.
Sanyu: Kya baat hai yoyo bhai! Awesome! Ab batao na aapke love story ki barein mein.
Yoyo: Acha! Hmmm. I met her when I was in school.
Vidushi: Oh bachpan ka pyaar? (she nudged sanyu and dhwani to which they blushed. But unknown to them, two others were also dreaming)
Parth: Bolo bhai!
Yoyo: So Kruthi and me were in different classes. She is about a year younger to me.
Kastuki: Kya baat hai. Good planning haan!
Yoyo(pouting): Arey agar tum sab interupt karoge tho mein kaise complete karunga story?
Niharika: Acha acha. Koi interupt nahi karega. You continue.
Yoyo: Haan so she's a year younger to me. Same school mein the till my 10th. We used to fight a lot over physics projects. We participated in all the culturals and competetions . We used to win everytime. But later in my 12th, she had changed her school and gone to Mumbai. No contact for a long time until 3 years back. By then with help of Di and Jij I decided what I wanted to become. So finished engineering and finished my Masters. Fir Di ne offer ki company mein. I accepted it, but I was also determined to prove my mettle. A few months later after I joined, I was informed I would be in a project with 2 other people, after which credits for promotion would be evaluated. SO I strived hard. When I met the other two members, I was shocked to see Kruthi there. Since I was about 15-16 when she left I was able to recognize her. She had not changed one bit, and her eyes were the best! She also recognized me soon and then you know.. slowly revived friendship and it got ...
Randhir: Wah! BHai. Am so happy for you!
Ankit: Haan Bhai, Sab itne lucky nahi hote hai.
Yoyo: Hmmm. I realized I love her the moment I saw her, but I was not sure about her feelings. Bahut misunderstandings huyi thi. Par kehte haina "Sache mann se job hi mango woh tumhe zaroor milega"

Vardhan: Ham kya? Supervise you all.
They had a hearty laugh. The girls were playing with Vikrant and Kajal while the guys were talking about sports and movies. They all were ready to have dinner and NIharika called Vardhan
Vardhan: Yes bolo Jaan?
Niharika: Tumne yeh jaan booch kar kiya haina?
Vardhan: Kya?
Niharika: This arrangement?
Vardhan: Yup! Mastermind sweetheart
Niharika: Dekho Parth, Vidushi, Jiggy and Kastuki fine. They know about each other and its their first step in their relation. But the other four? They already have feelings for the other, what if they get confused with this person. As in Sanyu ko definitely lagega ki Randhir is only Gabbar but she cant assure it. Same is with other three.
Vardhan: That's the power of love jaan! See if they spend more time, they will get to know about the other person. Once that happens they will get confused. It will make them work harder to clarify their doubts.
Niharika: harsh Dada ke baat mein aakar hum kuch galat tho nahi kar rahe haina? See I love all of them and I cant see them in pain.
Vardhan: Kuch galat nahi hoga! Aur jaan, pyar mein dard tho zaroor milega un sabko jo pyaar mein hai. Its just the perspective with which they take it.
Niharika: par.
Vardhan: Oho! Kuch nahi. Bahut bolti ho aaj kal. (He pulled her and pecked her lips a lightly)
"wooo" "Wah! Kya scene hai" came a voice.
The couple looked here and there embarrassed. Then Vardhan got back his senses and spoke "Arey biwi hai meri, haq hai mera. Tum log jao apne pyaar dundo aur karo. Nazar mat lagao"
All started laughing. They had dinner and left soon. Vardhan, Niharika and Yoyo came in and started discussing about their next move
Yoyo: Ab?
Vardhan: Sochna padega!
Yoyo: Waise di don't take tension. Ham hain na!
Niharika: Hmmm. Waise Kruthi kab aa rahi hai? Shopping bhi karni hai!
Yoyo: Kal aajayegi!
Vardhan: Chalo lets get to work. Warna tumhare di mujhe mar dalegi!
Both yoyo and Vardhan got a light whack from Niharika as they continued laughing and she too joined them soon. The three were busy discussing all details for the engagement.
