Chapter 18: Two down

All of them left. On the way Ankit dropped Randhir, Jiggy and Dhwani at the hotel, while Parth had gone along with Kastu and Vidushi in his car. Soon they all reached home to find someone waiting for them.

"Welcome home" came a voice from the kitchen

Sanyu: Dad!!!!!!

She jumped like a kid who was given infinite candies. She ran inside and hugged him tightly. Kishor too hugged her back and kissed her on her forehead.

Kishor: Congratulations!!! What happened to your eyes princess?

Sanyu: Woh dad. Aap daantoge nahi na

Kishor: you first tell me!

Sanyu: Hmmm. I forgot to remove lenses yesterday and slept off like that.

Kishor: Ab se no lenses. How many times Sanyu? Stop wearing lenses.

Sanyu: Sorry dad. Last time!

Ankit: Maaf kardo dad! Bachi hai!!

Kishor: You stay out of this Ankit! Hamesha aajata hai apni behen ki side lene ki!

Ankit: Arey aur kaun karega?

Parth: main hoon na.? lekin iss baar I am with uncle! Shes getting more careless.

Ankit: Oye! Tu chup kar! Yaad dilaoon subah kya hua?

Kishor: Acha teeke teeke. Lets have some family time shall we? Lets go to hall and chat! I have an early morning flight to catch!

Sanyu: So how was your meeting?

Kishor: It went on well! I saw your press conference live here. Hmmm. I have an important issue to talk about!

Ankit: Haan boliye!

Kishor: Hmmm. Since Sanyu will be resigning from our firm, we need to find a replacement for her.

Ankit: Yea!! You have anyone in mind?

Kishor: Yes! Since parth is already partner, I was wondering if Kastu could join as partner. Only if she wishes. Don't worry beta! We are all there to guide you.

Sanyu: Wow kastu!!! Am so happy. Congratulations, I will get sweets. (Saying this she went to kitchen)

Kastu: Uncle lekin...

Ankit: Awesome dad. I was also just gonna say this. Kastu no lekin and all. We all know how talented you are! Its time you take it the next level.

Kastu: Bhai, uncle. Am scared! (she said this after a lot of hesitation) Am not as good as Sanyu, parth or bhai!

Parth: Kisne kaha hai Kastu? Who found out about the Mittal fraud case! It was you! Don't put down yourself! Trust yourself and your capabilities!

Kishor: Well said Parth! Exactly kastu. Believe in yourself! Don't compare yourself with anyone! Am always there for you. You can come to me for any help!

Vidushi: Kastu! Accept karle!! You know it's a good opportunity! Then whats the hesitation? Go for it girl!

Kastu: Hmmm. Teeke uncle. I will join. Thank you.

All: Awesome!!!!

Sanyu came running to her and gave her sweet! Soon all of them shared the sweet!

Kishor: Lekin ek baat hai Kastu! Since Sanyu is leaving, I want Ankit and Parth both to take care of Delhi office. So you will have to go to Mumbai branch!

Kastu: No problem uncle!

Kishor: good good!!! CHalo whose gonna make dinner ?Aaj kastu ko chill karne dete hain!

Sanyu: Why don't you guys cook? Bhai, Parth and Dad!

V,K: Lovely! We will chill today!

Kishor: Meri princess ki order aur main na maanoo! Aisa kabhi ho sakta hai? Chalo kids, lets get into action.

Soon the three were cooking, while the girls were gossiping. After about an hour and a half, the table was filled with various dishes - vegetable pulav, palak paneer, aloo gobi, chappati, dal chawal and lassi.

Sanyu: Wah! Kya baat hai dad! So many dishes. Aapko yahi rakhloon mere paas.

Kishor: Of Course beta! Bas Anju ka kya ?

Ankit: Mom ko bhi lekar aajao! Waise Harsh uncle aur Renuka aunty abhi bhi haina?

Sanyu: Oh yea! How are they? I wanna talk to them! Maa ko phone lagao bhai!

Kishor: Ab nahi! First lets finish dinner! Aaj ki sham, KAstu ki naam! Chal kastu you start eating first!

Kastu took small amounts of everything as all were her and Sanyu's favourite dishes. All were waiting for her to eat first, meanwhile they all helped themselves with the serving. Soon they finished eating. All of them were retired to bed a little later. Kishor knocked Sanyu's door and asked if he could come in.

Sanyu: Yes what happened dad? You want something?

Kishor: I wanted to tell you something Sanyu!

Sanyu: Ya temme!

Kishor: Dekh Sanyu, don't get me wrong. But you are 24. I want to see you settled soon. Don't stop me, let me complete. We know that you like your gabbar a lot. But what initiatives have you taken? You don't even recollect his name! Same goes with Ankit! Usse sirf Mishti yaad hai!

Sanyu: You can help us dad!

Kishor: Sanyu galti kisne ki? Tum dono ne. See we will be happy to see you both leading a happy life. But ..

Sanyu: I understand dad.

Kishor: Hmmm.. am giving you a year's time. Find him soon or else you have to get married to the person whom we select.

Sanyu: Arey nono dad. I promise!

Kishor: Pata hai kitne mushkil se I had to convince your mom!

Sanyu: Sorry dad! Kuch tho help karo na

Kishor: Hmmm. When I was talking with Renuka I found out that he's become an actor. Not very successful though! He's done around 4-5 films now. And he's in India now! Shayad Mumbai mein!

Sanyu: Oh! Thank you dad! Love you! I will not let you down.. nor myself!

Kishor: Ab so jao! Good night!

Sanyu: Good night!

She hugged her dad, while he gave her a small kiss on her forehead. He came out and took out his phone from the pocket and spoke "Tho sun liya na sab! Yeh bhi success hua hai! @ down 2 to go! Chalo ab rakti hoon! roaming hai!"

Just as Kishor went out, Sanyu was in her own thoughts.
Sanyu: Mere kehne pe you became an actor too? Wow!! Am impressed! But how do I find you dude???? I dunno if you love me, but I cannot stay without you! I just wanna meet you once..Kahan ho tum gabbar?

When she uttered Gabbar, somewhere else, the files fell down from a man's hand as he was packing his suitcase! Another person came inside the room dashing on hearing the commotion. "Kya hua? Lagi hai kya?" he asked. "Nono Jignesh. Thanks. You have finished packing? And what about Dhwani?"

Jiggy: RD? Sab teek hai kya?

Randhir: Haan kyun?

Jiggy: Hmmm.. Generally you don't call us with our full names. Except when you angry or worried. Ab bol kya hua? Ya phir mein Uncle ko call karoon?

Randhir: Arey! Its nothing yaar.

JIggy gave a you-expect-me-to-believe that look and started fishing for his phone from his pocket.

Randhir: Acha acha! Call mat kar! I ac... acc.. actually felt ki basanti ne mujhe pukara.

Jiggy: Kya? Mil gayi Basanti. Tune bataya bhi nahi. Kahan hai? Kaisi dikhti hain?Aur.

Randhir:Oye! Chup kar jiggy. I just told that I felt as though she called out to me. I never told I heard her calling me. Got it?

Jiggy: Yeh kya hai? Kaisa pyaar hai? Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon???

Randhir: Mujhe bhi nahi pata. I just know that I love her. Lagta tho aisa hai ki woh bhi shayad mere liye wait kar rahi hogi. Par..

Jiggy: Chill RD! She will.. Waise I wanted to ask you something.

Randhir: Kya baat hai jiggy? Kab se itna formal ho gaya hai? Bol jaldi.

Jiggy: Hmm. Woh woh tumhe kastu kaise lagi?

Randhir: Kastu? Kaun kastu? (he was acting as though he didn't know anyone with that name)

Jiggy: Arey. Sanyu's friend. Kastuki.

Randhir: Haan tho aise bol na. Haan Kastuki. Why should I tell about her? (he was controlling his laughter)

Jiggy: Bata na. plz

Randhir: Acha. Teeke teeke. (he said laughing) Achi hai. Looks like she also likes you. But be careful dude. Ek hi baar mila hai. Am not saying anything against it but just take your time and then decide.

Jiggy: Genial! (Awesome!) So you like her na. And ya. I was also thinking that. Am sure she will be a very good girl and the right match for me.

Randhir: Alles Gute (All the best)

Jiggy: Dank Kumpel! (thanks mate!) Lassen sie mich gehen enden verpackung (Let me go finish packing)

Randhir: Jawohl! (yup!)

Soon they finished packing and slept off as they had to shift their stuff tomorrow to the guest house. Next day morning, as usual Randhir got up early, finished his workout and went out for jogging. After about an hour when he came back, he found his room door to be open. Suspiciously he slowly entered the room. He saw a girl in yellow kurta and white legging packing all the books which were on the bed into a big bag. As she was about to turn towards the door, Randhir immediately caught her hands in his right hand and closed her mouth with his left for stopping her from shouting. Due to the sudden attack on her, the girl was shocked for a moment but later started to wriggle out of the man's grip. The more she tried, the grip got stronger. She started kicking his leg, due to which he lost balance and both of them together fell on the bed, however Randhir never let go of her. So the girl was lying on top of Randhir, with his hands in the same position as before. Soon Randhir spoke up "I didn't know, thieves started to steal books these days. Is this India's specialty?" Just as he said this, he saw Dhwani enter the room and called out to her.

Randhir: Mish.. Dhwani. Call the police and hotel manager, We have a thief here.

Dhwani: BHai! What are you doing. Chodo usse. Kahin yeh aap par complain na karde.

Randhir: Arey! What are you saying, I saw her packing all my books into this big bag and was about to leave and I caught her red handed. Why are you supporting her.

Dhwani: Bhai!! Yeh Sanyu hai. Sanyukta Agarwal!

As soon as she said this, Randhir released his hands in a jiffy. Slowly Sanyukta moved away from him and sat on the bed heaving for breath. Randhir got up immediately and offered her some water. She took the glass from him and emptied it at one go. Then she looked up into his eyes.

Randhir: Hey am so...sor.. sorry.. I didn't expect you to be in my room. I thought it was someone else who was trying to steal something.

Seeing his face and hearing the apology, Sanyu started laughing. Randhir was lost in her beauty again. He saw how mesmerizing she was. Just then Jiggy came out of the washroom to see Sanyu laughing so hard and asked about it. Once she narrated, even he started laughing leaving Randhir embarrassed. Thankfully Dhwani came and saved her brother.

Dhwani: Arey Jiggy bhai. Bas bhi karo. Kitna tang karogi mere bhai ko.

Sanyu: Waise Randhir, thieves will steal anything and everything on their way. But books ke bare mein tho I don't think they know the value of all such books. So India ho ya Switzerland, choron tho books ko haath kabhi nahi lagayene!

By now all of them had come there, and all were laughing. This time even Randhir joined them. In no time, they had shifted to the guest house. The guest house was brilliant! There was a lawn which had 3 sprinkers which covered the entire lawn. The exterior portion of the house was painted in cream and the trims of the house were in dark brown giving the huse a very posh look. The house had two levels - ground floor comprised of a hall, kitchen, dining area and a room and on the first floor there were 2 more rooms of the same size. The entire house was fully furnished. Suddenly Dhwani spoke up "Bhai, am taking the room on the ground floor".

Randhir: No ! either Jiggy or I will take it. You are staying upstairs.

Dhwani: Bhai! Mujhe yah kamra pasand hai. Please.?

Jiggy: Dhwani. RD is right. Tum upar jao.

Dhwani: Nahi. Mujhe yahi kamra chahiye .

Randhir: Dhwani. Try to understand. Its not safe for you to stay here.

Dhwani: Par bhai..

Randhir: Dhwani Singh Shekawat, nehmen sie ihre sachen und nach oben gehen in den ersten raum (take your stuff and go upstairs to the first room.) One of us will get your other lugaage soon. klar? (clear?)

Though he was not loud, his voice was very stern. Upon getting no response from her, he raised his voice a little more - "Am I clear Dhwani?"

Dhwani just shook her head, tears almost on the verge of flowing down her face. She walked up slowly taking her hand bag and another small rucksack. Until she reached her room, Randhir was eyeing her as though she would escapr from there. Once she was in, he let out a sigh and Jiggy placed his hand on RD's shoulder asking him to calm down. Sanyu,Kastu and Ankit who had come to help them shift were also silent. Infact Sanyu was scared and she never met Randhir in his eye. Ankit took Dhwani's luggage, when Randhir stopped him.

Randhir: Hey! I will take it up.

Ankit: Its ok bro! You start arranging your stuff. Sanyu and Kastu will help you guys. Haina?

Kastu: Haan. I will help Jiggy set his room.

The other three smiled at this and Jiggy blushed! Ankit picked up Dhwani's luggage again and went up. Jiggy took his stuff and also went up followwed by Kastu. SanDhir were left alone.He looked at her for a moment whereas she was still looking at the ground. He took his stuff and went to his room. After sometime, Sanyu walked up to his room and knocked on the door.
