Chapter 16: Where are you?

All of them were on their way to Parth's house. Throughout the journey, Dhwani and Vidushi were talking excitedly about their internship which was starting the next day. Jiggy and kastuki were exchanging sweet moments. Ankit, Parth and SanDhir were in their own world. They reached in about an hours time as there was a hell a lot of traffic everywhere.

Once they reached, the girls immediately went to change their dress. Meanwhile, the guys took just a few minutes to change into their casual wear. They came down quite soon. Randhir and Jiggy were waiting for Dhwani as they had to go back to hotel. It was around 20 minutes and there was no sign of any of the girls. Ankit went in to check them. He saw that all of them had fallen asleep and they were in deep slumber. It looked like they slept off the moment the came to the room. He was smiling seeing the girls. Soon Randhir came there and asked what was happening that they didn't come out. He started laughing with what he saw. Slowly both of them came back to the hall. And were discssuing as to what should be done now.

Randhir: Ab kkya karenge?

Ankit: Yahi ruk jao! Go back to the hotel in the morning na.

Jiggy: Haan ruk jaate haina RD!

Randhir: Tu tho bolega hi!!

Jiggy turned red while the others were laghing their hearts out. Hearing their sound Sanyu came out.

Sanyu: Kya bhai? You didn't sleep? She started rubbing her eyes due to irritation. Her eyes widened seeing other two boys "Oh no!!!!!" She ran to her room saying this.

Ankit: Pagal! Phir se bhool gayi!

Randhir: Why did she scream and run inside?

Ankit: She didn't realise you and jiggy were also here. Girls you see!!

Randhir just nodded, but his mind was else where. His mind was stuck in her eyes. Why were they so red? Was she crying? But why would she? She has everything. Her life is so perfect. Soon his thoughts were broked due to incessant ranting of Jiggy!

Ankit: Acha Where you guys wanna sleep? As in kiske saath room share karna hai?

Parth: I don't have a problem with anyone sleeping in my room with me. Sanyu aksar aajati hai, so I have spare set of bedding.

Ankit: Kya? Kyun?

Parth: Arey she's scared of darkness naa. When current goes she comes

Ankit: Acha teeke teeke. Randhir you don't mind sharing room with Parth?

Randhir: Hmmm no problem.

Ankit: Acha chalo jiggy.

With this the four boys went up to the rooms. However Randhir was still confused as to why would Sanyu go up to Parth's room and not to Kastuki or Vidushi's room if she was scared of dark. He could not understand this girl. The more he tried, the more difficult it got. He was lying on the bed when Parth came out of the washroom.

Parth: Hey you sleepy?

Randhir: Yeah kind of! Got a big day too tomorrow.

Parth: Acha teeke. Will talk to you later. Good night!

Randhir: Good night!

Randhir was not sleepy at all. He just didn't wanna talk with Parth. Without any reason he had started develping an animosity towards Parth. He tried resoning to himself that he's being a sugar-factory when it comes to Sanyu. On the other hand he had also caught him oggling at Vidushi. He was tired of all these and wanted some fresh air so he went and stood in the balcony.

Sanyu on the other hand who had screamed and rushed to her room, was busy washing her eyes in the bathroom and cursing herself.

Sanyu: Dhyan kahan rehta hai tumhara Sanyu? Kitni baar same mistake karogi. Agar Maa ko pata chala, she will kill you. Ugh!! Ab yeh bahar kyun nahi aaraha hai!!

She splashed more water into her eyes with a lot of force, due to which a tiny, thin transparent lens fell down and crashed into the sink.Finally she felt relief as her eyes were coming back to its normal color from red. In a few minuties she changed her dress into a loose pant and t-shirt. She was very fresh now and didn't feel like sleeping. So she went out of her room taking a shawl in her hand, switched on the dim garden lights, went out and sat on the bench, resting her head on the arm and was looking up at the sky.

Just as Randhir was about to go inside, he saw the garden lights glowing, so he just stood there to see who came out. At the bottom of his heart he wanted one person to come out, so that he could see her, while his mind was totally against it. As usual his heart won, he saw the girl and was wondering what was she doing this late outside all alone. He was concerned for her even though she was in her house, he had heard a lot about Delhi and its safety. He was about to go down and talk to her, but later felt he would be too prying and left the thought of going down to check on her. But since he was good at heart and thoughts, he pulled a chair to the balcony and sat on it.

Soon he drifted to his dream girl and the task of finding her. He was mentally making a note of ways and means to reach out to her. After about half an hour when he was running out of thoughts, he saw the girl stand up and go inside. Seeing this, Randhir too got up, but noticed her that as she was going in she wiped her cheeks. Randhir was dumbstruck by this. He kept in mind to ask her if all was well when they become good friends. The thought of "Good friends" shuddred him.

Next morning Randhir woke up at around 6:45. He turned to his right and saw Parth fast asleep. He got down from the bed, due to his shuffling, Parth woke up.

Randhir: Sorry sorry!

Parth: Its ok. I can sleep again. He winked at slept off again.

Meanwhile Randhir went to freshen up, then he went to the next room to check on Jiggy. He gave a wake up call to jiggy and went down to wake up Dhwani. As he went down he saw the hall and kitchen lights were turned on. He was wondering as to who would be up so early, so he tiptoed to the kitchen and saw Sanyu in her night dress making something.

Randhir: Good morning!

Sanyu dropped the vessel from her hand due to the sudden intrusion. But Randhir had a good reflex, he dived in time to save the vessel from crashing down.

Sanyu(almost in tears): Thank you! Woh.. am sor.. sorry! Actually am not used to anyone talking to me this early. All these people get up pretty late. So...

Randhir: Ssshhh... Its ok! Am sorry too to scare you off. I just came down to wake up Dhwani coz we need to go to the hotel too.

Sanyu: Don worry! I already woke her up. She will be out in a few minutes.

Saying this she held out a cup to him and asked him to have it.

Randhir: Hey its ok! No formalities please!

Sanyu: You are hell bent on not accepting my friendship I guess. Just have it!

Randhir: Hmmm. Dedo.

Randhir's eyes widened at the first sip of what he was having and he was lost somewhere. Just then Dhwani came too.

Dhwani: What happened bhai, what are u shocked at? Why such an expression?

Sanyu: Shayad bahut bhuri bani hai!

Dhwani: Kya?

Sanyu: Tea! You told na you wanna have tea, so I made. I offerred it to him and now.

Dhwani: Give I shall taste and give the result.

Sanyu: No no. Look at your brother. Kahin bimar na pad jaay.

But dhwani took a cup of tea which sanyu had kept on the table. Now even she was giving the same expression. Sanyu snapped her fingers after which the two looked at her.

Sanyu: Ho gaya? Ab boldo that tea was not good!

Randhir: ac..act. He was still lost

Dhwani: Hmmm. San.. Sanyu. Tea was lovely. Its been long that we had this kinda tea. When we left India we had this type of tea after which both of us had only green tea. It reminded us of someone whom we had left behind here. Kisne sikhaye tumhe?

Sanyu: Acha! Tho main pass ho gayi? Waise credit goes to my mom.

Just then Jiggy came down followed by Ankit and even they had tea. Dhwani and Jiggy thanked Sanyu and left out. Randhir was still standing at the door totally confused and burried in some thought.

Sanyu: Can I help you in finding them?

This voice brought back Randhir from his thoughts.

Randhir: Hey! No! Its actually.. hmmm.. Thank you for the tea.

Ankit: Hey, I will drop you guys. Ruko. Waise Sanyu, Raddison tho O&S Industries ke raste par hi haina. Tho why don't you pick them up and go?

Randhir: Hey we'll reach there early. Waise bhi dhwani ki first day hai. So I'll go with her.

Ankit: Even Vidu's. So Prin.. I mean Sanyu will pick you guys up. That's final. Ok Sanyu?

Sanyu: Yup sure! I will pick you guys up at say 9? Coz those two have to report at 9:30, meanwhile I shall introduce you to the other people with whom you will be working.

Randhir: you guys have not left any other option. Ok. Bye!

After about half an hour Ankit came back to see all of them up except Parth.

Kastu: Today also he's gonna be late.

Ankit: Acha hai. Aaj dad is coming here. It will be fun.

Sanyu: But I will miss it. Bhai aap record kardo na. plz?

After about an hour the girls were ready and were about to leave when Parth came down.

Parth: hey stop! Am also coming. Ankit kahan hai?

Vidu: Bhai left 10 minutes back. And we are going to O&S Industries. Kastu ko hum bus stop mein chod denge.Tum jao.

Saying this she walked out, the other two girls followed suit after glaring at parth for being late. Within 10 minutes after dropping kastu at bus stop, Sanyu reached the hotel where the Shekawats and Jiggy were staying. They were also just coming out and once they saw the car, they got into it.

In about 15 minutes, they reached O&S Industries. After the security check, they parked the car and went inside. Dhwani and Vidushi were scanning the entire building. Soon they reached the receiption, where SanDhir and Jiggy were given visitor passes while the other two were given nothing. The receptionist asked the other three to not go further as that was the employee department and visitors were not allowed. The three of them wished Dhwani and Vidushi and retuned to the lounge.

There was a model of the O&S Industries building and its factory at the centre of the lounge. Sanyu explained as to what was there in each floor and how it worked. Since Randhir and Jiggy were in the same field they understood everything. But they were surprised that Sanyu knew so much. Jiggy could no longer control his curiosity and asked, "How do you know so much?"

Sanyu chuckled and replied: Hey Jiggy! Don't think auditors job is restricted to accounts and tax savings. We need to know and do a lot more. And even to do the so called "Tax saving" it can be done only with thorough understanding of the business and its functioning. We are not there to cheat the Government of its money!!

Jiggy: Wow Sanyu! Am impressed!

"That's why shes our Auditor" came a melodious voice

They all turned back to see Vardhan and Niharika stand there and looking at Sanyukta in awe!
