Chapter 14: Love at first sight
All: Kya?
Sanyu: Hame aaj Vardhan sir ke ghar jaana hai evening at 7.
Parth: Kya?
Sanyu: Haan. Bhai is also coming. He has just reached Delhi.
Vidushi: Bhai tho bahut travel karte hai yaar. Yesterday only he went from Ahemdabad to Delhi. Lekin why should I come?
Sanyu: That's coz Sir knows you. And he's asked you and Dhwani to also come. There is puja at his house today for janmashtami. So all of you Indian attire please.
Dhwani: I don have any. She was on the verge of crying.
Sanyu: Arey tum tension mat lo. Mein hoon na. And two other girls are also there. You will fit into either one dress of ours. So chill. Lekin Randhir aur jiggy. What about you guys?
Jiggy: Nahi hai.
Parth: Koi baat nahi. Jiggy you can take mine and Randhir can take Ankit's.
Sanyu: Done. So chalo ghar chalte. We'll rest for sometime.
Randhir: Hmmm. We'll go to hotel and come?
Dhwani: Kyun bhai? Do you know Vardhan sir's house? Nahi na.
Jiggy: RD. Chalo. Mujhe Kastuki ke saath time spend karna hai.
Randhir was hesitant as he didn't wanna go to someone house whom he hardly knew for a while. Sanyu understood what he was thinking.
Sanyu: Hmmm Randhir?
Randhir: Yea?
Sanyu: We are all pure vegeterians. Khaa nahi jaayenge aapko.
Randhir: Hey!
Sanyu: If you think we are friends then come along. (He was still lookin the other side) Hmmm lets say its your punishment.
Randhir: What punishment?
Sanyu: For hurting my hand.
Randhir was totally taken by surprise by this reply. His respect for Sanyukta was increasing slowly. He had never seen a person so selfless. He just nodded. The second he nodded, Sanyu's face glowed with a beautiful smile.Same was the case with Jiggy and Kastu.
Sanyu: Yeh huyi na baat. Hmmm. Parth kya tum drive karoge?
Parth: Kyun? Tum drive karo na.
Sanyu: Hmmm.. ok. Chalo sab.
Just as Sanyu was about to get into the driver seat, Randhir called out to her. As she turned around, she saw Randhir forwarding his hand. Sanyu raised her eyebrows asking what.
Randhir: Give me the keys. I will drive.
Sanyu: Arey aap kyun? You are our guest! Moreover, you are new here, you don't know the dirctions.
Randhir: Kis zamane mein ho? We have GPS for directions and I saw that its installed in your car. Aur waise bhi tum ho agar mein galat raste pe gaya.
Sanyu: But..
Randhir: I know you wont be able to drive and that's why you asked Parth to. I dunno why he declined, (what an idiot he thought in mind) but I did understand why you didn't tell him that you cannot drive.
Randhir: You didn't want me to feel guilty that I hurt your hand.
Sanyu: Nothing like that. (She said looking away)
Randhir: Hmmm. Give me the keys or you want some more clarifications?
She immediately held out her hand and gave him the keys and sat inside, since Parth was tall he had to sit in front, while she went and adjusted with the others. With the help of navigation and Sanyu's discrete directions, they reached home soon. As Randhir parked the car and came out, he saw the whole gang going, inside except one person who was on call, and he had not met him along with the gang. He approached him and tapped on his shoulders.The other person turned and was about to talk, when "Bhai!!! Aap jaldi andar aao." Randhir understood it was Sanyu's brother and he also went inside.
As he entered he was mesmerised by the way the house was. Initially when he drove the car and parked itself he was impressed by the construction of the house. It had the perfect cuts and the precision of all the corners and joints amazed him. He saw a huge hall infront of him with a beautiful black sofa set at the centre and it had cushions of white and black stripes, matching with the sofa. The walls were in light shade of cream and one particular wall was in orange color and of that crushed nature. On the left side of the hall was the dining area where a six seater dining table made of glass was placed. The table had necessary items such as a water jug and a tray which consisted of sauce, jam and a holder with spoons and butterknife. Going further into the hall and crossing kitchen, he could see two rooms straight away and another one opposite to the first room. On the right side there was a staircase which led to the first floor of the house which had two rooms and an open terrace where the clothes were hanged for drying. He was standing right outside a room and enjoying the way the house was constructed and the interiors were made.
Randhir: Wow.. Its just perfect
A voice came behind him "Kya perfect?"
Randhir: Oh Parth! I mean this house. Its amazing. The construction and the interiors. Both are amazing. I assume its your house.
Parth: Yup! Thank you. Waise you can actually appreciate the person who did the interiors. She's right here.
Randhir: Who?
Parth: Sanyu. Aur kaun.
Randhir: She does interior decoration too?
Parth: Not with business intentions. She just likes it. She gets immense happiness when she does it. Being a CA I thought she had a passion for accounts and audit later I realized she has passion for a lot of things.
Randhir: Interesting girl
Parth: Haan woh tho hai. Chalo tumhe Ankit se milwata hoon.
Saying this he pulled Randhir from there into the hall. Whereas Randhir was still wondering why Parth didn't drive.
Parth: Ankit ! He's Randhhir Singh Shekawat. Sanyu's new client.
Sanyu: Hey! Hes not my client! He's my client's collaborator. When will you learn to be professional Parth?
Ankit: Chill Sanyu. Hey Randhir. How are you? I've heard a lot about you from my sis in the past two days. Congrats bro on your success. You too Jiggy.
Randhir: Thanks Ankit. Waise Vidushi, Kastu aur Dhwani kaha hai?
Jiggy: They are trying out dresses for Dhwani.
Ankit: Whose Dhwani? Same girl whom Vidu was referring to the other day?
Randhir: Yup! She's my sis. She's here for MBA internship.Aur Jiggy tum, Kastuki ke naam sunte hi itna jaldi jawab aagaya. Not bad bro.All started laughing.
Sanyu: Oh god. Chalo bhai take randhir with you and check if some sherwani of yours fits him, else we have to look out for some alternat arrangements. Same goes with Jiggy and Parth. She turned to Randhir and Jiggy and said
Sanyu: Aap dono thoda rest karlo. There are two rooms upstairs ek parth ko aur ek bhai ka. I dunno you share it anyway. Mein chali Dhwani ko dekhne
Saying this she went to Kastu's room where the other girls were.
Randhir: Wow! Hitler thi kya pichle janam mein? Kya orders deti hai?
Ankit: Lol. You will get used to it when your around her. But she's never wrong. She takes care of every small need of others except hers.
With this the boys went upstairs to take rest have their share of fun.
On the other hand, the girls were having a lot of fun making Dhwani try various dresses. The other three were trying to find faults with each dress.
Dhwani: Mujhe nahi pehni hai koi bhi dress. Aap log mujhe tease kar rahe ho.
Kastu: Arey Dhwani. Nothing like that. Dekho this red lehenga... hmmm it looks too bright.
Vidushi: And this Yellow also is nice, but its old, agar phat gayi tho?
Sanyu: Hmmm. Ruko I will be back.
Saying this she went out of the room and came back carrying a box.
Sanyu: try this. Bhai got it for me! Just like that. Not for any specific occasion and all.
Dhwani: hey then I have no right on it.
Sanyu: Chill!! I've told him before itself. So its ok. Go try.
In a few minutes, Dhwani came out wearing a beautiful dark blue lehenga, with red and blue blouse and red choli. She looked mind blowing. Along with the dress, Sanyu had given her a simple jewellery set as well which matched the lehenga.
Sanyu: Lagta hai bhai got this keeping you in mind. Just look at you. The fits so perfect.
Vidushi and Kastuki: Haan yaar.
Kastuki: So its done. You will wear this only. Lekin what will I wear. I really wanna look good today.
She bit her tongue as soon as she said this. Now it was her time to get teased, and the other three girls were not gonna leave her so easily.
Vidushi: Kyun Kastu? Is there something special?
Sanyu: bolo na.
Dhwani: Jiggy bhai bahut ache hai. He's not dated anyone so far. You seem to be the first one he's showing some interest.
Kasutuki blushed even more and nodded her head.
Vidushi: tho love at first sight ho gaya?
Dhwani: Lagta tho hai!
Vidushi: See Sanyu! Love at first sight does work out!
Dhwani: Why are you specifically telling it to her
Vidushi: Coz she does not believe in it. But she believes in "BKP"
Dhwani: BKP?
Vidushi: Haan! "Bachpan ka pyaar"
Dhwani: Actually I would second her. Not that I don't believe in love at first sight
Sanyu: Aww I love you Dhwani. You're an awesome saviour.
Saying this Sanyu hugged Dhwani. When they parted both of them had tears in their eyes.
Kastu: Kya hua? Why are you both crying?
S & D: I just remembered someone.
Vidushi: Kya timing hai. Looks like you both are some long lost sisters. Kastu hum dono tho aise bilkul nahi hai. Abhi doubt ho raha hai ki hum sisters he ki nahi.
With this all started laughing. However two girls were in deep thoughts and they came back to reality when they heard a knock at the door.
"mish.. matlab dhwani? Your ready?" came a voice
Dhwani: Haan Jiggy bhai! Abhi aati hoon. She winked at Kastu and went out.
Here Sanyu was in her own thoughts wondering if Jiggy called dhwani as Mishti. Soon she was pulled out of her thoughts when Kastu shook her and asked her to get ready soon as it was almost 5 now. Sanyu went to her room to get ready. She came out of the shower and was almost ready when the power went off.
Sanyu: Arey yaar! Ab bhi dori bandna hai. And the lights went out.
She called out to everyone, and suddenly she felt someone coming near her and with the little light that came into her room, she realised it to be a man.
Sanyu: Parth, thank god you came.You always help me when am alone in dark. Jaldi se tie the knot na. I cant life my hand as it's a lil swollen.
The man stood there without doing anything.
Sanyu: Parth? how many times have you done. Ab kya. Karo na jaldi?
The man slowly ensuring that he would not touch her found the lose ends and tied the knot and left the place soon even without listening to her thank you. Just as he came out the power was back and Ankit was coming down.
Ankit: Arey Randhir. Tune Sanyu ko dekha? Usse andere se bahut dar lagta hai
Randhir: Nope. I didn't see. But I guess she's getting ready.
Just then he saw Parth and Jiggy coming down. Suddenly he felt like bashing Parth and he didn't know the reason as well. A few minutes later all the girls came out. This left the four guys at the hall dumbstruck.
Vidushi was in a lemon yellow lehenga and dupatta.Kastuki was in baby pink and blue lehenga. Sanyu was in lavender and Dhwani was in red and blue. All of them had put very less jewellery. The dresses were very simple, yet it made the girls look ravishingly hot and beautiful.The boys could not take their eyes of them especially Ankit. He had his eyes fixed on Dhwani and the dress she was wearing. He was angry at sanyu and at the same time he loved the dress on Dhwani. He gained his composure and immediately left asking them to come out soon as they were almost late. Soon all of them came out to find two cars waiting for them. The girls along with Ankit left in one car except Sanyu and in the other car she was accomodated along with the other guys.
Within 45 minuties they reached Vardhan Suryavanshi's mansion. All of them got out of the car and assembled at the main entrance. Soon the security check was over and they entered the place. Just as they were entering, a lady came out asking them to wait. She was clad in a beautiful Orange and black saree.
Lady: Arey ruko. You all have come for janmashtami celebrations. Enter together as Radha Kishan.
All eight of them looked at each other. Sanyu went and stood beside Parth and Ankit, Dhwani beside Randhir and Jiggy, Vidushi and Kastuki were left.
Lady: Yeh kya? Wait I will make the changes. Sanyu tum Ankit ke saath entry nahi kar sakti. Same applies to Dhwani. Swap your partners. Hmmm.. Wait. Parth you are in Red, you go with Dhwani or Vidushi.Hmmm actually Vidushi will look good. Jignesh you and Kastuki are in blue so you both. Now you four. Just swap. Lavender and black will look the best. Randhir Sanyu. And Ankit you are in White and gold Dhwani se acha aur kaun ho sakta hai. Chalo. Stand together now.
All of them stood like school children in front of their teacher. The couples had varied emotions. JiKi were happy and blushing. VidArth were happy from inside but showed attitude to each other. WanKit didn't know how to react though they were uncomfortable yet comfortable. Lastly SanDhir, they felt awkward.
Sanyu: Arey Niha di? Is it necessary to go like this, I mean we are all together. Maza nahi ayega.
Niharika: Tum Vardhan se baat karlo. Lo agaya.
As soon as Sanyu saw Vardhan, she took a few steps back and hid behind Randhir by lightly catching his arm.
Vardhan: Baahar ajao Sanyu. I already saw you. Look at you, you look brilliant in this lehenga. Haina Randhir?
Randhir was totally confused. First he didn't understand why Sanyukta called Niharika as Di, then Mr.Suryavanshi called her Sanyu and now he asked Randhir to comment on how Sanyukta looked. Vardhan cleared his throat to get Randhir's attention.
Vardhan: Kaha kho gaye ho Randhir? Bolo na? kaise lag rahi hai Sanyu?
Randhir: J..ji. She's looking very pr..pr.. pretty. I've never seen a girl more beautiful than her.
Sanyu was lost in Randhir's eyes as the whole time he had seen her in her eyes and told everything. Soon she realised they were alone as the others had gone in. She broke the eyelock and both of them looked everywhere except each other. Their hearts were beating at the highest speed possible. Sanyu was still wondering why she felt as though she knew Randhir much before as his eyes reminded her of her Gabbar. Similar thought process was going on in Randhir's mind.
Sanyu: Hmmm lets go. Randhir: Yea.
