Chapter 13: First dance
Next day the people at Kashyap house got up early as there was a festival to be celebrated. They got ready soon, decorated the house and did puja under Vidushi and Parth's supervision. Once the puja got over, the girls went to change their dress, while Parth was just going through the newspaper. Just then Vidushi came out.
Vidushi: I don't want you to come like this?
Parth: Of course darling! Am coming in this only. Ismey kya burayi hai? Kurta pyjama hai. Our country's dress. What's the shame in wearing it?
Vidushi: Ok. You wear this and stay home. We all will go.
As usual these two were arguing, just then Sanyu and Kastu came out.
Kastu: Yeh dono kitne cute haina?
Sanyu: Haan yaar! Patha nahi when they are gonna confess to each other.
Vidushi: Arey tum dono wahan kya baat kar rahe ho. Chalo chaltein hain. Parth does not wanna come.
Parth: When did I say so?
Sanyu: Arey Parth, why are you irritating her. Jao change karke aao.
Saying this Sanyu pushed Parth upstairs to his room. Within 5 minutes he came down wearing blue jean and a black shirt, with his top button left open and his hair was spiked with gel.
Kastu: Hot lag raha hai tu.
Parth: Tell me something I don't know.
Vidushi: Ho gaya tum sab ka? Ab shall we leave?
Sanyu: Haan chalo chalo.
In no time they had come to the main road, and were waiting at a signal to take left and go to the restaurant which they had decided last night. AS they crossed the signal and took left, Sanyu who was driving, saw three people waiting for a cab. She immediately recognized the two men but could not recognize the girl. She parked the car, got down and went to them leaving the other three confused.
Sanyu: Hey jiggy, randhir. Aap dono yaha?
Jiggy: Hi sanyu! Woh actually we were going to Travertino (restaurant). But the cab in which we were coming broke down, so now we dunno what to do. Basically we are stranded.
Sanyu: Hey what a co-incidence. Am going there along with my friends too. I've got a car. Its small, but its pretty close by we can adjust.
Randhir: Arey its ok. We'll manage.
Girl: Bhai kya manage. Chalo lets go with her. Hey Sanyu am Dhwani. Randhir's sister.
Sanyu: Dhwani? I've heard that name. Anyway am Sanyukta Agarwal. Chalo.
With that Jiggy and Dhwani started walking. But Randhir didn't move from his place. Sanyu went and tapped his shoulders. He turned around and was lost in Sanyu's beauty. She was wearing a navy blue sleeveless top with small polka dots in white and a White Capri. She had let her hair loose and kept her shades on her head while she was talking with these three.
Sanyu: Aap ayenge ya ?
Randhir: huh? Ya lets go.
The two of them were walking towards the car. Sanyu fell a little back while walking and this time she was checking him out. He was clad in Blue jean and White shirt, with his first three buttons left open and the full arm shirt was folded upto his elbow. He was covering his eyes with Black Rayban Shades. In short he looked like a hero to her, little did she know that in reality too he was a hero. When they reached the car, she told the other three to adjust as these people were her friends and they were also heading to the same place.
Soon they reached the restaurant, all of them got out and went inside, while Sanyu went to park the car. As she was walking, she saw Randhir waiting for her.
Sanyu: Hey! Why are you standing in the sun? You could have gone in right?
Randhir: Its basic courtesy Miss Agarwal which your friends lack!
Sanyu: Well we are not at office, so Sanyukta will be better. And about being courteous, I don't think its required among friends. Is that why Jiggy and your sis didn't wait? They've accepted my friendship its you who has not, so your being formal.
Randhir: Maybe! I don't make friends soon. So shall we?
Sanyu: Then it's a challenge Mr. Randhir Singh Shekawat, I will make you my friend soon enough.
With that she walked away with attitude.
Randhir: Kya? She just walked past me? And I was waiting here for her. Ugh! I just hope Basanti tum aise na ho.
Sanyu turned back at the moment when he said Basanti and asked "Kuch kaha aapne?"
Randhir: Nahi tho Sanyu: Kuch vrat rakha hai kya aapne. That you would stand in the hot sun. Andar aajao Swiss man varna you will melt down.
All of them settled. Ordered their dish and started talking.
Dhwani: Don't you think we need to introduce ourselves? I know Vidushi, coz I met her at the interview. Congrats vidushi!
Vidushi: To you too!!!!! Guys mein uss din bata rahi thi na ek ladki ki bare mein. Its this girl. Dhwani.
Sanyu: Arey tabhi tho. I was wondering I've heard this name somewhere.
Parth: Sanyu that day also you and Ankit were saying the same thing that you've heard this name and today also.
At the mention of Ankit's name, Dhwani felt something but she just brushed it aside.
Randhir: Oi! Kaun Ankit? Meri behen kab itne famous ho gayi? Aur woh bhi mujhse zyada?
Sanyu: Why should'nt she be famous. Aap koi hero ho? And rahi baat ankit ki.. He's my brother.
Dhwani: Ok ok. Bhai chill. Lets start. And am first! Hi. Am Dhwani Singh Shekawat. Finished my MBA and now currently gonna join as an intern at Roberta Lanco.
Vidushi: Am Vidushi Kumar. I've done MBA from IIM-Ahemdabad and am also gonna join at Roberta Lanco as an intern.
Parth: Mein Parth Kashyap hoon. Am a CA, a partner at AS & Co. Partner kam aur iss Sanyu ka peon zyada.
Randhir: Haha: Why parth? Waise am Randhir Singh Shekawat Director of ASP Constructions.
Sanyu: Am Sanyukta Agarwal! CA and partner at AS & Co. Kastu your turn.
When they all turned towards Kastu, they were stunned to see her blushing and to know the reason, they turned a little more they saw Jiggy blushing too. They understood the situation and as planned by Dhwani, all together cleared their throat to bring them back from their world.All of them started laughing seeing their faces.
Sanyu: we all have introduced ourselves, do you both mind doing the favour to us? (winked at the two of them)
Kastu(blushed): Hi. Am Kastuki Sherpa. CA and working at AS & Co.
Jiggy: Am Jignesh Patel, Director of ASP Constructions.
Just as Jiggy finished his intro, they were served with their starters. Soon all of them started eating as though they had not eaten the whole week. As they were waiting for the dessert, Randhir saw Sanyu swaying to the song that was being played. He was again lost in her beauty and trying to recollect if he had seen her somewhere. Dhwani nudged him and he realised he was almost drooling and so he looked away.
Sanyu: Vidu,Kastu chal na dance karthe hain!
Vidushi: Hey! Am bored to dance now.
Dhwani: Arey haan! Dance se yaad aaya. Parth and sanyu.. you both dance exceptionally well. We saw you at the function.
Sanyu: Oh you all were there?
Jiggy: Yup! Hmmm.. Kastuki, u wanna dance?
Kastuki blushed and nodded in a yes and they started dancing. Dhwani was bored and so she wanted a little fun.
Dhwani: Arey Sanyu, Bhai ke saath dance karogi?
Sanyu: Inke saath? He knows to dance ?
Randhir: What? You ...
Dhwani: You just try na.
Sanyu: Ok. Am cool with it.
Dhwani: Chalo Bhai.
Saying this she pushed both Sanyu and Randhir on the dance floor and due to which Sanyu slipped and Randhir caught her by her waist. Aaj dil shayarana from holiday was playing. Both of them were in the same position for a while. When they heard Parth, Dhwani and Vidushi's voice they broke the eyelock and started dancing.
Bigda hua dil sambhalna jaane na, Aaj dil shaayaraana shayrana shayrana shayrana shayrana lagta hai. (Randhir twirled Sanyu and picked her up by her waist, while Sanyu was swaying in his arms)
Subah dhoondha, pukaara tujhe sham sham shaam shaam ko, Shaam shaam shaam shaam ko
(He made her stand on the ground, soon she hopped and went a little away from him)
Khud se zyaada diya hai tere naam naam naam naam ko, Naam naam naam naam ko
(he slowly walked to her, took her left hand and started twirling her and she kept going around him)
Meri baaton mein tera, aana jaana lagta hai , Hai yehi ishqaana ishqaana ishqana ishqana ishqana lagta hai, Aaj dil shaayaraana shayarana shaayrana shayrana shayarana lagta hai (She kept one hand on his shoulder while the other was still on his right hand. He slowly kept his left hand on her waist and they were dancing to the tune)
Throughout the dance, both of them never broke their eye contact even once. Both felt as though had danced before together. Once the song got over, all the people who had come started applauding to their dance and appreciated their chemistry. Soon they came back to their place.
Parth: Kya baat hai Sanyu. Pehli baar a romantic dance and it was awesome.
Dhwani: What? You've never danced to a romantic number? Uss din dhak dhak mein...
Parth: In that she danced alone and I danced alone. Last we just came together. I thought she never be comfortable dancing with another guy and that too for such a song. Well done Sanyu.
Vidushi: Haan. And Randhir. You were outstanding.
Randhir: Thank you. And Sanyukta. You definitely are a beautiful dancer.
Sanyu: Thank you. And so are you.
Dhwani: Waise bhai. Even for you it was first romantic dance if am not wrong. Randhir just nodded his head.
Later, at the parking lot as they were leaving, a girl came running towards them and hugged Randhir out of the blue. With the force she came, Randhir lost his balance and he held something for support. The entire group was stunned. Kastu and Dhwani tried pulling apart the girl and after a lot of trying they were successful finally.
Girl: You are the hero from Klutz right? Wow this seems to be a dream. Ich liebe dich.Was I right. (I love you)
Dhwani and Jiggy were trying hard not to laugh while the others were quiet shocked.Randhir calmly replied - "Yes u are. Thank you mam. It's a pleasure meeting you.Would you excuse us, we are a little busy" Saying this he hugged the girl and she went away happily. The entire gang was giving him questioning look when Jiggy said "Randhir is an actor. He's acted in about 5 movies till now. All in German"
Parth: Wow! So we know an actor is it?
Randhir: But we are friends. Stardom should not come between us.
"Konnen Sie Bitte Lassen Sie mein Hand" (can you please leave my hand?) hearing the voice Randhir immediately left the hand which he had held for support.
Randhir: Tut mir so leid (Am so sorry). He looked at her hand and found it with impressions of his fingers.
Sanyu: Its ok.
Randhir: Why didn't you tell me earlier. Just look at it its all blue.
Sanyu: You needed some support and I was the one close.Relax Randhir. Waise friends?
Randhir: Huh?
Just then Sanyukta got a call and she went away to talk. When she came back she was a little tensed.
