CHAPTER 40HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF : PART VII

"You bet yourself?" Panchi asked him in amazement. "Yes, I do!" Duryodhan answered her. "Okay then. If you bat yourself. What can I bet?" she asked him. "Anyone you feel has an equal value." he told her. "Right!" she said with a confused look. "Maybe you can bet yourself, Panchi!" Shakuni shouted, excitedly. "Myself?" she went into great thought. "Yes obviously. In this game your are a player and Duryodhan is a player so you both have equal value and hence you can bet each other. Right?" Shakuni explained her. "Right!" she said with an expression of being enlightened.
"Okay then I bet myself!" Panchi said loudly.
"Panchi you cannot bet yourself! I mean you cannot just do that." Paarth shouted. "Why cannot I?" Panchi asked him in reply. "Because you don't have any right on yourself." he told her firmly. Panchi stood up and clapped. Then, looking straight into his eyes she asked, "then who has that right on me?".
"I have that right!" Paarth answered her confidently thereby astonishing everyone. That note of Paarth brought a little tear in Panchi's eyes. Their relationship though had been tested greatly by time but still was the strongest of all. Both of them had greater rights on each other then they had on themselves.
"Paarth?" Vrushali asked astonishing. "...I... I mean your relatives, friends and others have greater right on you than you yourself!" Paarth answered smartly. Wiping the little drop of emotions away she answered, "If that would have been true, Paarth, then I had no right to organize the whole event. I know very well that who has a right on me and who doesn't!" she told him, though she knew she was hurting herself more by saying that. Their love was strong enough to stay untouched by such harsh notes of tongue. He answered her saying that, "Panchi, right are not measured in quantity but in their viablitiy of effect!" he told her.
"And words too should not be spoken when not needed. Time has travelled a lot ahead, Paarth. When your words were needed, you decided to stay silent and now when you words are not needed you tell me that who has right on me!" she told him, as she remembered the scene at the court of Hastinapur. Where, Draupadi wanted Arjun to stand for her but he kept silent, when his wife dignity was hurt in front of the whole kingdom.
Panchi's words hurt Paarth's heart which which accumulated into a drop of pain out of his eyes. "So better keep silent. Because your words a not needed today." she shed a few tears herself when saying that.
"Yes! I bet myself." she said loudly. "And I choose number 7!" she added to her words. "I choose 19!" Shakuni replied. "Spin it!" she said loudly. The wheel was spun. "Again! You'll end up being disrobed in front of all, Draupadi!" Shakuni thought. "Not this time! This time the game's mine!" Panchi knew she would win.
The wheel stopped. The whole hall was silent and eager to know the result which was the finale to the whole game. Paarth especially was worried. Subhadra knew that her jiji would win, for Panchi would never bet herself without the surity of winning. And Govind, who knew the result long before it was announced, was smiling out of the curiosity to knew how others would react. "It is number ... 7!" the controller announced.
Panchi eyes were filled with drops of joy. Today, in true sense, she had won the war of Kurukshetra, herself. This game, had reached it end. And now it was time to punish the culprits. Shakuni had lost his ability to speak, hear or feel after listening that announcement. The hall was swept by silence. Subhadra has tears in her eyes, which symbolized the happiness she felt on the victory of her jiji, in this game of truth. While Govind, who knew everything, waited for Panchi's final answer to her scoundrels.
"And I win, Duryodhan!" Panchi answered with joy. Duryodhan looked senseless and dumb-struck. "What happened!" she asked him, smiling. Duryodhan kept his crown aside. He kept the gold embroidered shawl he wore, aside and went and sat in Panchi's feel. "How can I serve you, mam?" he asked, gravely. "You..." Panchi was telling him with angst of retaliation when her past replayed in front of her eyes. Every scene of the fateful game of DwaparYuga repeated, intricately in front of her eyes. The humiliation which she had to go through was playing in front of her eyes when she broke. "... You leave!" she answered with tears in her eyes. One of the drop of water travelled down from Paarth's eyes too, on seeing his love break down. "I return you your wealth, luxury and property. Your brother. And free you from and bonds. I free you." she told him. Her tears were stating the reason behind her action.
"Now! You have won, Panchi!" Govind thought, as a tear escaped his lotus-like flawless eyes.
TBC Hope you liked the anticlimax.

Amazing Angela!

The anticlimax was brilliant! I really didn't expect this! I though it would be something like Panchali in full, fierce form!

But this, wow! I am completely speechless!

I don't even have words to express my amazement at the plot!

It was seriously an invisible slap on those wicked men's faces!

And invisible slaps hurt more!😈

Seriously, she took her revenge in such a powerful way! This is called teaching a lesson, really!

A complete dhamaka! And in my Draupadi prem, I forgot to mention Parth!

The way he said those words, which so much ownership and confidence, it really struck me!

For once he wasnt silent! I wish he wasn't silent when the actual thing happened too! But this was superb!👏

I love sakha and Subhadra too! Although I am not a big Subhadra fan, I liked her here!

And here comes yet another detailed comment!😃

I cant even say anything, I'm speecless now. Thats really a GREAT Idea to make the culprit realize their mistakes.

I can feel Panchi's emotions while she should organize all of this. The Panchi-Yudhi part, the Panchi Dristadyum part and of course the Parth-Panchi part. Feels like crying seeing them like that. Especially when Panchi asked him to stay silent 😭😭😭

GREAT Job, Dear! You deserve a standing ovations 👏👏👏

Thank My Govind!! She didn't ask Duryodhan to be disrobed!! A biggest punishment is a silence!! And the greatest horror, the silence of a woman!! Truly, if Paarth had spoken that day, Vastraharan would have never happened!! I know the pain of silence of your loved one!! And I very much understand Drau's pain here!! And that ownership, once again he won my heart!!! Truly amazing and commendable update by you, Angela!!! Awesome!

Wow ..Angie Superb 👏
The update was so intriguing, power packed with emotions especially betwn Panchi & Arjun. Their convo about their rights on each other since Dwapar Yuga to present...Loved this part 😳

When Panchi won the final stake & Dury removed his crown & jewelleries & when near Panchi, bend down to serve her as a slave...I was so excited...what will happen next, what will Panchi say...But she forgave them, she forgave her culprits who did so much wrong to her, making them suffer more with guilt, pricking their conscience 😭

Indeed Panchi won the Kurukshetra Battle all by herself

Gr8 Chappy Angie. Infact I guessed that Panchi will win the final stake, but I was really excited to know what will Panchi do to her culprits. I was thinking many possibilities here but I liked yours very much 😳

Excellent ending Angela...
Panchi was so gracious in her victory...now that is going to haunt Dury for the rest of his life!!
What a fitting reply!! And only Panchi could had the moral fortitude and courage to do it!!
Her words to Paarth were bang on!! You may have rights over someone since they have given it to you but you should earn your right to retain that right also!!
Loved the unconditional support from Subhi and Govind...
