CHAPTER13:THEANNOUNCEMENT
Panchi got up in fright! She was frightened out of her wits. "What was that?", she said still immersed in fear. She got down from her bed and went straight to the mirror. "Was that really me?", she said as she checked herself in the mirror. "Who were the dancing women?", again and again this question for some reason, was troubling her. Just then a voice rose up from behind which interrupted in her thoughts. Panchi ran straight to Subhi and wrapped her arms around Subhi. "looks like someone's body has got you super excited!",Subhi said teasing her. "You...!", Panchi ran to catch Subhi who already ran for her life. They ran all round the floor and suddenly Subhi bumped into Paarth. "Oh so... sor... sorry!", Subhi apologised. "I see! Subhi you are a bumper.", Panchi said teasing her bestie. And all of them had a good laugh. "Vasusen bahi wants to tell something to all of us. Let us go. he has called us in the hall.", Paarth informed. And they all left for the hall.
"So I called all of you here for this ahem... Vrushali!", Vasusen said. All were confused. Why were they called here? Was there a special reason? "We both are getting married.", finally Vrushali said breaking the silence. "You both are what..!", Yudhishtir shouted. "Oh... my ... dear... lord! This is huge!", Panchi exclaimed. "Bigger than huge!", Subhi corrected her. "When?", Paarth asked. "Well we have not thought on the date till now but yaa soon.", Vasusen answered. "Subhi what are you going to wear?", Panchi asked with excitement. "Panchi! Wait dear! It is a wedding in their family. We cannot...", Govind reminded. "Govind!", Vasusen cried. "Lets end all this lets all be one family. There is no use of being two when we live under one roof.", Vasusen explained. "I agree! But...Ok!", Govind agreed at last. "Yay! Ok Subhi back to the dresses.", Panchi restarted the conversation. The boys started wishing the soon-to-be husband-wife. Panchi and Subhi took Vrushali in a side and started discussing about her dress on various rituals and mandap. That was when Paarth suddenly shouted, "We have to call her too!". "Wh... No Paarth. Not her!", Vasusen said angrily. "But bahi she is...", Paarth tried to explain but Vasusen interrupted. "No Paarth. I just don't want her around here on my wedding!", Vasusen yelled at his brother. "I agree! She has to be called. It is our wedding Vasusen. How can it be complete without her presence!", Vrushali supported Paarth. "Fine! Do what you want to! Just tell me when I have to do the rituals! Don't you ask me to take any decision now!", Vasusen said and went away. "Who all will be going with me?", Paarth asked. "I will! And I suggest lets take Panchi too.", said Vrushali. _Panchi could not understand where were they taking her. "But bhabhi why!", Paarth shouted. "Paarth!", Vrushali made a puppy face. "Ok!", Paarth said making a face.
The mansion was decorated with every beautiful flower on the Earth. People were talking, laughing and celebrating. But there was one who was quiet. She was waiting for someone. The one who came to visit her every month. Now today was the special day so he had to come. Her heart was going worried now. "Where is he!", she thought. Her mind was cooking a whole chain of event that could have happened. "Pritha aunty! It is time for the aarti now!", a beautiful girl interrupted her thoughts. "Coming dear!", Pritha said still looking at the door. The girl came near Pritha and kept her hand on Pritha's shoulder, "Waiting for Paarth! He will come aunty. Don't you worry!", the girl clamed her down. "I know Chitra but my heart is getting worried now! Where is he. He should have come by now. And God know how particular he is about time!", Pritha said. "First lets start with the aarti. Everyone is waiting!", Chitra told her. "Let us go!",Pritha turned. She picked up the plate and got ready for the aarti.
"Vasusen! I know what you fear of! But believe me! Nothing will happen!", Vrushali comforted him. "I know dear! But my heart just doesn't permit to call that...", Vasusen said with anger rising like fire in his eyes. "No vasusen! No!", Vrushali said. "I would be one of the most memorable moments of her life. We don't have any right to take them away from her.", Vrushali explained him with a smile. "God! I hate it when you are right", Vasusen exclaimed. "Now I have to go to call her! Meet you later.", Vrushali smiled and picked her bag to leave. "Don't talk much with that lady!", Vasusen told her with absolute abandonment of the person he was talking about. Vrushali smiled and left.
"I wish Vrushali I could tell you how hard it is going to be for me!", Vasusen thought. "I know it is going to be hard for you Vasusen but we cannot do that! We have to get her!", Vrushali thought.
Pritha ended the aarti. She turned around and went on the door with the plate. Her wait knew no lengths she was waiting for Paarth of come into sight. Thinking that he won't come today she turned to get in. Just then Paarth walked into the mansion. Pritha's joy knew no bounds on seeing him. Paarth came in front of her and touched her feet. Tears of happiness flowed down Pritha's eyes. She looked behind Paarth and asked, "He has not come? Right!". "Yes! But someone else has!", he said to lighten up Pritha's mood. Panchi and Vrushali walked in. "Vrushali!", Pritha was overjoyed. "Who is this Paarth? Your girlfriend?", Pritha teased Paarth and Panchi. "No!", Panchi said it before Paarth. She touched Pritha's feet and received her blessings in return. "Come in! Paarth! I want to talk to you!", Pritha said. Chitra winked at Paarth as he stepped in. "Vasusen bahi and Vrushali bhabhi. They are getting married aunty!", Paarth informed her. Pritha's steps stopped when she heard that. And tears of happiness escaped down her eyes!
