So Aakash and Payal are not meant to be, at least for now. I feel disappointed but not surprised. They had too many issues... just too many. Both Aakash and Payal love each other and claim they can't live without the other. So what happens to this love and this declaration when two people break up? Not just with them, I have never been able to understand this aspect of a 'relationship'

Garima and Shashi really are lucky. Instead of wood burning into ash, their daughter emerged from this 'trial' like the gold refined in a furnace.

Arnav and Khushi, they are just meant to be. Together forever. Always in sync with the other like two tap dancers who are comprehensive of each others moves and can match steps even when the other starts dancing to a different tune. "Har kisi ko nahi milta yahan pyar zindagi main, khush naseeb hai woh jinko hai mili yeh bahar zindagi main"

PS: I will reserve my emotions for the epilogue
PPS: Do tell us about what happened to Anjali and the reactions of the family members to PayAsh's break up, if the epilogue allows
PPPS: Thanks for giving us the desired milap of ArHi after the lambi judaai 😳

@Bold: I think that love is preserved, rather than being transformed into resentment or bitterness, which is the likely consequence of that relationship. But as humans we learn to adapt, fall in love again, make the choice that make us happy (hopefully).

I LOVE your tap dancing simile for A and K. Wonderful! 👏

Main bhi emotional hone wali hoon epilogue ke time 😭

ch 29

Bechara Arnav- My heartfelt sympathy for him for the torture he endured in the first part!!

But then Khushi more than made up for it(her sins at the restaurant??) If Khushi was so shy in earlier encounters.. I wonder how their first time was.. I mean how did they decide to take this further..

A brief separation in order ?? I hope it proves to be a welcome break for Arnav and he is able to sor out his thoughts. Khushi's understanding is exceptional. and Arnav is already my favorite. Hope everything sorts out atleast for them!

ch. 30

I am a bit frustrated about Akash and Nani's concerns about Arnav traveling alone! He is a man not a baby! In last update Arnav also thought it is time he took some decisions by himself rather than others making it for him!

About pee text exchange - It was hilarious to read in story but sad reality nonetheless! Why only railway toilets most public toilets in India are in similar state for various reasons! Where majority of population still doesnt have access to clean drinking water and toilets in their houses, expecting them to be aware of civic sense in sanitation wouldnt help. I guess lesser said the better on this!
But Finally apart from all the capital lettered abuse Khushi listened to Arnav and relieved herself and him as well! 😆

Finally the convo happens between Akash and Payal! But is it conclusive enough? Will Akash be OK with Payal going away for a year?
I liked how Payal told "I love myself too!" But then many times you cant have the cake and eat it too..

First off, let me apologize for my long absence from this story - AD really caught up with me and I was just not able to be too active around here!

Now that I have finally gotten a little bit of time, I got to catch up with the last few chapters of PJ and it was truly a pleasure to read it all.

One thing I can honestly say is that I am in awe of your writing ability, and your ability to delve into each character, and the relationships that shared between the various characters, whether it be a relationship between a couple, siblings, or parents/children.

The way the last chapter was presented left me feeling that all the characters were in peace with themselves, with the decisions they were making, and with the people they chose to have in their life. It was really a fulfilling way to feel after reading a story to its completion.

And although all the characters were great, I was obviously very partial to Arnav and Khushi, and yours in particular left me feeling that they were very much real, as opposed to "reel" life figures. The problems they faced, how they dealt with them was very realistically portrayed and it was quite refreshing to read. Also, the relationship they shared with one another was magnificent and a joy to read about.

After reading this from the beginning, I can honestly say that you have done a great justice to this story and more importantly to all the characters👏 Thank you for sharing this story with us - hopefully there will be more to come😃

chap 31-

Twigs, can I just say your superb writing and description of KK overshadowed the story in this chap?

It almost made me (like many) to plan next holiday to KK and experience all that you mentioned. I thoroughly enjoyed it and almost waiting for right time to discuss with my Arnowji if we can visit KK any time soon. 😃

KK temple, part of sanjivani hill ,sunset and sunrise all sounded quite enchanting !

PS- How did you miss Vivekanand Memorial(?) which is on island ? Was it intentional?

chap 32

Totally agree with Meera on this.

I loved these lines- "He thought about the many things and people who made up his life, and smiled to his as he quickly realised that the answer was a no. This feeling, though priceless, was ephemeral. The nature comforted him so because it was like his mother - he could always find comfort in her arms whenever he wanted, but he couldn't spend his life there."

To Dont most of us need this clarity? Where are we headed in life? What we really want? I am glad Arnav found some of his answers in this trip.

abt Khushi's letter - Again you summarized what state most parts of our country are through Khushi's words. People who go and want to make change need to be persistent and patient, isn't it? I really hope this works for Khushi and she earns appreciation of Merchant the Slave Driver!

ch 33-

Twigs- You scared me , made me anxious reading Shashi-Garima talks.. I almost saw myself in Garima's place in future. I hope it doesnt come t that.

and 2nd part abt Khushi in remote place- I have no words. Brilliantly worded I must say. Be it abt villagers' condition, their expectation from 'outsiders' and a defining change in Khushi's perspective and the peace she found working there.

Maybe there is redemption for Garima and Shashi (and probably for me in future).

Hey there...
I've been a silent reader of this story for quite a while. I just never found the right words to put across my thoughts..still haven't. But, I feel I owe it to you to let you know now at least when the story has reached it's culmination.
This has been a significant journey. The story is brilliant, beautiful, thought-provoking...it made me think, made me feel...so many emotions. Anger, frustration at Shashi's decision, at Garima's silence, at Payal's indifference...respect, admiration for Khushi's resilience, Arnav's determination...awe, contentment and peace to see the strong, deep relationship that Arnav-Khushi share.
Although the protagonists are Arnav and Khushi and they are the central theme, the other characters are also so well-defined. All the simultaneous tracks are justified and explored in depth. Even though I felt angry at Shashi for being so rigid and unfair, I could understand where he came from. Even when I was upset with Payal for being harsh to Arnav, for taking Akash for granted, I realised that it is a part of the person she is. Same with Garima...her dilemma was understandable. Arnav's confusion, self-doubt, Khushi's struggle, frustration, Anjali's self-realisation...all this and so much else that I may not have mentioned. Everything was so well brought out. I could sympathise, empathise because your writing has that...clarity.
Even the point at which, you stopped writing was thoughtful. It was definitely a growing-up story for everyone involved. [Although, I would love a peek into their future, if you have contemplated writing an Epilogue or do so later]
It was a wonderful, beautiful story. I enjoyed reading every bit of it. Thanks for sharing!! :)
Good luck for all your future writing endeavours!
