Chapter3: The Scary montage and the introduction of the Adonis

Recape: After all the terrifying incidents all the youngsters decide to visit a disk.

Vardhan went to pursue his dad for permitting them to go to the disk. After a lot of coaxing from Vardhan, Ramanujan agreed to send them not to the disk but to a resort. All of them were at least satisfied that they would go out together. They had decided to go on Saturday and the present day was Thursday.

After Sanyukta's engagement was broken a few of her friends were living in their guest house. One among them was Shreya who was both Sanyukta's and Vidhushi's close friend. They had invited her to join them to the resort.

It was Friday evening when Shreya was alone in the guest house as other friends were busy exploring the small town. The guest house was joined to the main bungalow and it had a separate verandah. It had a door on the back side and had about 5 rooms. There was a separate kitchen present there in case of emergency. She walked towards the kitchen and heard a hissing sound from behind. She was frightened and she turned behind. She saw a shadow pass her. Her eyes shot open and she gulped the saliva present in her mouth. She took baby steps towards the verandah were she assumed the shadow had marched up to.

She crept into the verandah and no one was present over there. She sighed of relief and turned back to proceed towards her room. The sight in front of her made her shout.

Shreya: Aaawwweee...

All the members present in the house ran towards the source of sound. They reached the guest-house and found Shreya lying on the floor. Vids and Sanyu panicked and rushed towards her.

Sanyukta: (Resting Shreya's head on her lap) Shreya? Shreya open your eyes.

Vidhushi: Shreya... Shreya...

They carried her to her room and laid her on her bed.

IN SHREYA'S ROOM

Niharika was present there as her dad was out for a meeting. She started checking Shreya. She first asked for a glass of water and then sprinkled some water on Shreya's face. Shreya rubbed her eyes and got up. She was sweating from head to toe. She got up with a jerk and exclaimed,

Shreya: I... I wan... want to go from here.

Vidhushi: But why? What's the matter? How did you faint?

Niharika: Yes. And you firstly need to take some rest.

Nandini: All of you wait for a minute. Let her speak at least.

Shreya: I... I sa... saw a snake. A very bi... big snake. About 27 to 30 foot long.

All: What!!!

Raj: 30 foot!!! That's impossible. Is this girl kind of kidding?

Niharika: Ummhh... I think you should take some rest Shreya.

Shreya: I am not joking. I seriously saw a 30 foot long snake. Neither am I stressed out, nor am I dreaming.

Vardhan: Ok. You just take rest now. We will talk about this later.

Shreya: No. I just can not wait here for a minute. I'm leaving.

Ramanujan: But child, listen... listen to me once...

Vidhushi: Wait Shreya. Please you need to take rest.

Even after lot of appealing from Nandini and Ramanujan, Shreya left their house and so did the rest of their friends. Ramanujan was worried for his family and called off their trip. All the elders met at the terrace at night (Obviously without Vardhan and Niharika as they were young)

Shreya: Bhai, I think there is some problem in our house. We need to consult some holy priest.

Ramanujan: I agree with you. But is there such a priest who can solve our problems?

Nandini: I know one such person.

Raj: Then what are we waiting for lets seek advice from him.

Ramanujan: But who is he? What is his name?

Nandini: Swami Vidyashankar

Ramanujan: Humm... now lets go to sleep. Tomorrow we will go to meet him. But none of the children should come to know about this, not even Vardhan and Niharika.

All nod in agreement and depart to their rooms.

With this they end their discussion and decide to meet the next day.

SOMEWHERE IN MEXICO CITY

In a skyscraper on the topmost floor there lives a gang of 3 people in their 20's who are prominent scientists, precisely neuroscientists and psychologists. And all of them are Indian's. A guy with specks who is Gujarati boy who can be recognized by his Gujarati accent. A girl belonging to north-west India, with a fair complexion and wears pink-rimmed glasses. And the other guy was happy-go-lucky types. Always talks merrily with others and spreads happiness. He had treated many psychologically ill patients in the past. He always treats his patients as his family. He is an orphan and has lived in an orphanage from childhood with his friends Jignesh and Kaustuki. Yes this guy was none other then Randhir Shekhawat.

The clock showed a weird timing of 3 AM. The gang was creating a hullabaloo in their flat as Kaustuki had lost her most important earring gifted to her by Jignesh, better known as Jiggy. Kaustuki and Jignesh were in a relationship and Randhir was always a mute spectator of their mushy-mushy talks and sweet and cute fights.

Kaustuki was wearing a tight jeans and a tank-top. She had removed one of her earring as there was itching sensation in her left ear and while keeping it in her pocket she dropped it. Randhir was helping his bestie search for her earring while his other bestie was getting scolded by Kaustuki for gifting her such a small earring for searching which she would now have to take a magnifying glass.

Randhir: Hey Kausy!!! Got it.

Kausy (Kaustuki): What? You found it? Where was it? Where did you find it?

Randhir: Here under the dinning table.

He said pointing towards the exact place where he found the earring.

Jiggy: Thanks a lot bro. You saved my salary. Else I'd have to buy a new earring for this Madam.

Kausy pouted listening to this. She snatched the earring from Randhir's hand and marched towards her room and banged the door behind her.

Jiggy: Arrey Kausy...

Randhir: Ok bro, now you have a huge task at hand. To convince your girl. Good luck bro.

He said yawning

Jiggy: Thank you. You go and take some rest. I will wake you up at 9 o'clock.

He too was yawning now.

Randhir: Yeh, you are going to sleep at 10 in the morning, opps!!! Precisely in the afternoon right?

Jiggy: Depends on her mood

He said pointing towards Kausy's room.

Both of them exchanged pleasantries and then Randhir went off to bed while Jiggy was apologizing to Kausy.

This was their group filled with joy, delight and glee. All were fun-loving and adventurous. They used to work together and live together. "Add life to days not days to life." They had learnt this valuable lesson from each other. In short they were a small and happy family. Their only friend in India was Parth, but Randhir was in touch with some other people too.😉
