It's a very nice & beautiful update.
Nobody is living their own life. Everybody is living the life they promised themselves or to the person they love. & still found happiness in the place where they expect it at the least.Aakash chose to live like a slave under his uncle because he promised himself to save his cousins specially Arnav wishing nothing for himself . But luckily got his happiness & love in his wife, Payal.Arnav lived a life of aloofness because he promised his twin sister to raise her daughter as his & promised himself to protect his sister throughout his life. He too didnt hope for anything but he too found out his share of happiness & love in his daughter Manyata & wife KhushiKhushi promised herself & Lavanya to work her entire life for the welfare of the girls in our country & found out love in her husband when she never even look for it.Shyam promised to look out for his bestest friend than looking out for his love. & found his share of happiness with his bestest friend's little family. All these people are deprived of many emotions in their life & that too for a longer period of time. They want to seek revenge , but still can't endanger their loved ones life & they are succeeding in accomplishing them but in a completely different way. All their lives have been entangled with each other without their permission. Then how come Anjali can behave so selfishly???????? It is true the people whom she trusted more than her life - her father & her husband , has ruined her emotionally. She lost her confidence, her interest in life. But her brothers were in no better condition. Aakash- who lived the life of a slave can easily leave them all- but he didn't do that. He sacrifised his hopes, ambitions, self respect & every other emotions just to protect his brother, Arnav. He too never got a chance to live his life- does that make his pain any less than Anjali????? But still he decided to bear that pain forthe love of his bhai.Arnav- was completely broken realising that how his own father has manipulated him & how he was alienated from his brother & sister . If he wanted he can destroy his own father in lot of ways. But decided to keep his pain at a side & concentrated in protecting his sister & raising her daughter.Khushi was living under the guilt of her best friends death. She too want to seek revenge from Vikrant , but instead of going for a direct attack, she is proceeding with calculative steps. If Shyam wanted, he could easily save his back & remove himself completely from all these mess. But he too decided to stick beside his friend even if that means torturing himself on a regular basis.Anjali wanted to destrroy her father & her husband & she can still now do it. To bring these two powerful person down on their knees she alone cannot be sufficient. She too need a team & who better than Arnav, Aakash, Shyam, Khushi, Aman working all together as a team. Them why she became so impulsive. Before coming to India , she has done her homework in planning a revenge, but can't she consider the other aspects of her actions. Her one impulsive decision can harm her own daughter. How could she forget her decision can harm that 1 person who have literally given her the life she is living now. After selflessly living for all these years if Arnav- Khusi wants to have a normal , happy life (which they very much deserved) - that seems impossible because of Anjali's decisionAfter living under the shadow of his uncle for all these years if Aakash decides to live a happy & content life with his brother beside him- that seems impossible because of the same reason. After living a heartbroken life with a smile on his face, if Shyam wants to be happy seeing the happiness of his bestest friend- that too seem impossible.& Manyata- the little girl waited for a long time for her mother- when finally have her complete family is heading for a heartbreak- What is her fault in all of these???Before taking any step can't Anjali for once sit back & reflect on the whole situation. Can't she look beyond her revenge & care to see what the other people are going through. From far may be she have this illusion that they all are happy & content in life, but she should atlest see what is the reality.Definitely I want her to take revenge & that too at that place where it would hurt them most. Both Vikrant & Anuj are power greedy & they would be hurt mostly if this power doesn't lie in their hands anymore. Anjali should take calculative steps with all these people who love her most instead of acting on impulse. It's a very crucial point of this story & I definitely don't want Arnav & Khushi to get seperated. Eager to read the next part.
ArHi FF: Yeh Saali Zindagi
Chapter 27-A
21st July, 2014
Brushing her hairs slowly, Khushi coiled the length in a tight bun tying them demurely at the nape of her neck. Flicking the loose tendrils away from her face carelessly, she looked up at her reflection and smiled weakly watching the dark circles under her eyes.
Last night, she hadn't slept a wink.
Neither did Arnav. Lying in the bed with Manyata between them, they kept their eyes closed as they thought about the moments which bonded them together, made them trust each other, compelling them to rush to the other's aid in trouble.
Involuntarily, their minds wandered to the kisses they had shared, which was a torture because as much as they realized that they are perfectly compatible, the present situation didn't agree with them.
Her priorities are very much different from Arnav's, she had reached to this conclusion last night.
Her face looked whitely pale as if life has been sucked out of her body. Khushi knew, it was true to some extent.
As a teenager, Khushi had gone through hell, losing everyone who loved her after a fatal accident. She knew what it was like to be loved and adored by someone. Finding herself alone one day suddenly had nearly shattered her.
Back then, she had vowed never to let anyone close to her.
After ten years, she was again on the same path of heartbreak and pain. Living alone for a decade, she had reluctantly allowed two people in her life.
Arnav Raizada, her husband and Manyata, now her daughter.
Damn her heart for making that small concession in her vow. Damn her for trying to accept these two people in her life as family.
Damn her for giving her best to make them happy.
Damn her for believing that she will be able to survive without them.
Damn her for thinking that maybe, she might deserve a chance to be happy. Because she knew, she didn't. Not yesterday, not now and not tomorrow.
Damn her for loving them. Yes, loving them with everything she ever had. Her love, care, trust- everything.
It all was done for nothing but bitter memories. Memories which will tempt her again and again of the life she could have had.
The memories which had already made her realize that she is signing for up for a living hell by staying back and choosing her work over her family. She was doing wrong by breaking them after giving these two people the hope of a family.
But could she ever be able to explain and evaluate the damage she was doing on a small child? Manyata, the kid who accepted her and loved her, thinking that she is her mother.
Never once did she ask any questions neither placed any conditions. Manyata loves her truly and deeply without holding anything back.
And in few days, she will be again away from the person she now considers as her mother. She would be heartbroken.
Khushi didn't want to be the cause behind Manyata's distress and pain ever. Her decision was going to break her.
Could she do that and expect to have made a fair choice? No.
For a moment, Khushi thought of leaving everything behind and just living together with Arnav and Manyata, wherever they go.
But Khushi knew she couldn't. She knew that many lives and people were dependent on her. She is so close to her goal of caging Vikrant Chaudhary and bringing justice to many people.
She couldn't leave when her hard work of last ten years is going to cultivate into success.
Then, what the hell is she supposed to do? Just let everything crumble into pieces? No.
Sighing deeply, Khushi turned to open the door and step outside, knowing very well that she was trapped.
Trapped in, choosing between love and responsibilities.
Between family and work.
Between wrong and right. But she knew that whatever choice she had made, it would have broken someone. Mercilessly, it is her daughter she chose to destroy.
"Good morning, Mumma." Khushi looked up stopping in midst of spreading the bacon mixture in the pan, colliding with the excited and lively eyes of Manyata, noticing instantly that she was wearing her school uniform.
Giving her daughter a tight smile, she mumbled "Good morning, beta."
Creasing her brows in concern, Manyata stepped closer "Are you okay, Mumma? You look sick."
"I am fine, Beta. Why don't you go out and talk to your Daddy? I will join you both the moment I finish making this." Gesturing to the pan in front of her, Khushi said composedly.
"Okay." Manyata conceded, looking suspicious.
The moment Manyata turned and ran out from there, Khushi returned to staring at the pan realizing instantly that the bacon was burning.
Hurriedly, she tried to flip it breaking it in half in process and burning her fingers in process. Shutting the heat off, she looked down breathing heavily.
And then succumbed to the tears filling her eyes, putting a hand over her heart. It hurt too much.
Too much.
Something is not right, Manyata thought running out of the kitchen. Her Daddy forgot to wake her up in the morning and then her Mumma looks sick.
Thank god, she woke up on time and got ready for school. She didn't even trouble her parents like her friends do. They must have realized that she is not a nuisance. That she is a good daughter to love and live with.
She knew that she doesn't have to do that but she wasn't leaving any chance of proving herself in front of her parents.
"You are a good girl, Manyata." She assured herself, tapping her foot on the floor. The moment she saw her Daddy sitting in a chair and talking to someone, she skidded to halt and proceeded to walk toward him quietly.
Stopping beside him, Manyata circled her arms around her Daddy's thighs and leaned into him. She cooed "Good morning, Daddy."
Taking her hands in his, he put the phone away and looked down "Good morning, Princess."
It was then Manyata noticed that her Daddy looked tired just like her Mumma. He wasn't even smiling at her. He looked sad like Mumma.
She didn't like it a bit. At all. Manyata wanted to see her Daddy and Mumma happy always.
She was about to say so when her Daddy said "Why are you wearing your school uniform, Princess?"
Puzzled, Manyata said slowly "Because I need to go to school today."
"No you don't. Just go and wear something else. You are not going school today." Daddy ordered, looking guilty.
Clapping her hands together in excitement, she asked "Great. Are we going somewhere else today?"
"No, we aren't. You will not go to that school again." Daddy informed gently. Manyata frowned, not liking the answer at all.
Putting her hands on her hips, she complained "But why? I like my school and my friends."
Looking down, Daddy whispered slowly "We are moving away from here, Princess."
Manyata frowned "Moving away? Are you and Mumma taking me somewhere else?"
Caressing her cheeks gently, Daddy answered sympathetically "No it's just you and me."
Suddenly understanding the meaning behind the answer, Manyata felt her eyes widening in horror. Covering her open mouth with her palm, she shrieked "NO."
"Manyata..."
Turning away abruptly, Manyata was about to run back in the kitchen when she saw her Mumma standing there looking down apologetically. Suddenly the question that she was about to ask from her Mumma died in her throat.
Watching her Mumma suddenly wipe away her own tears, Manyata shook her head slowly trying to neglect the realization hitting her mind. Her Mumma isn't going to live with her anymore.
She is going away from her Mumma.
Manyata mumbled confusedly "I don't understand. Uncle said that if I loved you both very much and be a good girl, you will stay with me. I never create any trouble. I always do my homework. I always wake up early and get ready without any help. I always get good marks. Then why do I have to go away?"
"It's not like that, Beta." Her Mumma said instantly, trying to move closer.
Manyata hurried away from her. With tears filling her eyes, she rounded on her Daddy who raised his hands in surrender and said gently "If you just listen to me Princess..."
"No I will not listen to you Daddy. You lie to me. You said that you and Mumma will stay with me. Always. You lied." Manyata shrieked, stepping back as her Daddy took a step forward, losing her balance and falling on her back. She winced in pain.
"Manyata..." Daddy rushed ahead quickly closely being followed by her Mumma, crouching down to pick her up.
"DON'T" She shouted again, running into their room and locking it from inside before anyone else could get in.
And started sobbing loudly, ignoring her parent's crying pleas to her.
Nobody loves her. No one.
Covering her head with the pallu, Anjali looked around making sure that no one was following her. She continued walking ahead, not making any eye contact with anyone. Not that she counted on anyone identifying her there, dressed in a cheap floral saree, resembling more to a low paid worker.
Reaching to the dead end of the road, she stopped bracing herself to enter in the narrow alley ahead pinching her nose to avoid the horrible stench coming from it.
The moment she saw someone ahead, Anjali pulled the end of her saree over her face, hiding behind it. With her back stiff in nervousness, she squinted through the faint house numbers stuck to each door, searching for a particular number.
Once her eyes locked on it, Anjali sighed in relief and took steps ahead when the front door was pulled open and a girl dressed in black skirt and baby pink blouse stepped out, closing the door behind her firmly.
Not wanting to waste time further, Anjali strolled forward quickly and stopped in front of her. Once she had the girl's attention, she let the pallu from her face drop on her back.
Anjali smiled watching the girl's eyes widen in horror "Oh so you remember me."
"Mrs. Chaudhary...I mean...Anjali, why are you doing here?" The girl sputtered, looking around in fear knowing very well that if she was spotted with Anjali Raizada, Vikrant will kill her.
"Meeting you I guess. I don't think I need to remind you the purpose behind it, as I know you haven't forgotten the past."
Twisting her palms together while looking guilty and ashamed, she replied "I know you must think that I am a s**t, seducing your husband but I wasn't. I am his secretary only. I need this job. I was forced..."
"Into having sex with my ex-husband, I know." Anjali completed, looking calm and oddly sympathetic "Look I am not here to blame you, I am here to offer you a proposition."
"A propostion?"
Looking around, Anjali stepped closer to her and whispered "Whenever Elections approach, Vikrant prepares a file relating to the all the MLA's, businessmen groups supporting him. In that file, he collects their dirty secrets and evidences of illegal dealings through which he blackmails them into supporting him, right?"
Watching her nod slowly in agreement, Anjali pressed on harshly "I need that file."
Anjali watched her mouth drop open in mouth before recollecting herself and replying steadily "I am afraid that I don't have access to that file."
Anjali smirked "Oh come on, this is the least creative answer you can give me when I know that you safeguard it with your very soul. Just like I know your boss tortures you very much, blackmailing you whenever he can using your family as his trump card."
"What exactly do you want from me? I wasn't the one who cheated on you. Why are you trying to punish me?" She croaked helplessly, looking frightened.
"I want nothing except help you in getting out of here. If you give me that file, I will help you in escaping from here along with your family. Just think, you can start your life again without any demons from your past. You can live with your family happily with ample money in your account once you help me destroy the man who has abused you from last 7 years. I am not holding you responsible for anything." Scrutinizing her through narrowed eyes, Anjali explained in hushed whispers.
Moistening her lips, she asked looking hopeful "Really?"
"Looking I don't make false promise. Even now if you don't trust me, then you can give me the file once you escape from here with your family. This is the best I can do for you." Anjali countered, latching on to that glimpse of hope.
"Okay." She answered tentatively.
Smiling in satisfaction, Anjali turned to walk away when she called out again "But when you need that file?"
"Don't worry, I'll tell you soon." Anjali assured, disappearing into the narrow alley once again.
Sorry cannot give a long update as I am being tortured by my teachers currently through piles of assignment, tests and extra classes.
Do tell me what you think about the update,
