"Let me do the talking then." Harry ordered him. He approached Greyback, pulled his head back with his hair and poured Veritesarem into his mouth. He removed the curse so he could speak. "Now, answer me, who sent you?"

"My master..." Greyback answered in as much a growl as before but now they would be sure he wouldn't lie because he couldn't.

"I need a name!" Harry said loudly gaining Greyback's attention who looked a little dazed. He looked at Tom.

"There he stands..." He pointed at Tom.

Harry and Tom exchanged a look.

"Why did Riddle send you?" Tom asked. They had already known Riddle had sent him. This was their testing question.

"To kill the half giant." Greyback answered.

"Why?"

"He knew about My master's visit to the giants. He had to be killed before he could get the news back to Potter!"

Harry smiled sarcastically. "Imagine the irony, now you're going to spill that for us."

"When's Riddle visiting the giants?" Tom asked. He had no idea Riddle would recruit the giants.

"On the final day of the fifth month when he shall have an appropriate souvenir for them."

"What has he promised the giants?" Harry asked.

"Reign... with him, above all..."

"Who helped you enter the Castle?" Tom asked.

"No one, I sneaked in after the half giant."

"Why did you take Alex as hostage?" Harry asked.

"Hostage? I only meant to have dinner..." Greyback's large filthy teeth bared with his words as Tom lunged at him again and harry stepped in between pushing Tom out of the dungeon who only had the desire to break Greyback's face.

"Stop it!" Harry pushed Tom out.

"If he mentions one more word about Alex I promise you I'll kill him!" Tom answered trying to get back inside when harry held him back.

"We're done, alright?"

Tom looked at him. "What do you mean?"

"We got what we wanted. There's no point breaking his face."

"Of course, there's no point, doesn't mean I wouldn't like to."

"Tom!"

"Alright!" Tom backed away and stood his ground. "I'll let the dementors deal with him."

Harry who had turned away to seal the dungeon with protective charms again, turned back to Tom looking quite uneasy.

"We're not handing him over to dementors." He finally answered.

Tom looked confused and angry. That werewolf had attacked Alex and had the audacity to accept it. "What else are we going to do with him?"

"We're letting him go."

"What?! Why?"

"Didn't you listen to him? Riddle's visiting the giants. He thought Porch had gotten air of it, so he sent Greyback to kill him! But when Porch returned, he told me they had not had any luck with the giants and they were not being very kind to him so Grawp sent him back."

"Er... What does any of that has to do with his freedom?" Tom asked still not getting Harry.

"Don't you see? This is our chance! Grawp and Porch were not able to get the giants on our side because they've already chosen their side. Riddle's visit to them can be our chance to capture him! You said it yourself, we had to wait for Malfoy and Riddle to get out in the open and finally after months they are going to! We can make use of that!"

Tom blinked. He hadn't thought of that. "But if you let him go, he will tell Riddle and if you obliviate his memory, Riddle would know."

Harry shook his head. "I would not make such a mistake. I would only alter his memory. He would be able to return to Riddle and confirm that Riddle's plan is safe. His visit to the giants is not known by anyone except for himself and Malfoy. Think about it, we would be able to trap Riddle!"

Tom stood transfixed. Harry's plan had several things that go wrong, the first of which was Riddle detecting a memory charm. "Harry, if Riddle finds out... if this plan fails..."

Harry stared at him. "Why would it fail?"

"Because its Riddle we're talking about. The last time you dueled with him, you were wandless, not him." Harry looked as if his ego had been rattled. Tom realised his mistake. "Look, I am sorry, but I don't think Riddle will fall for a memory charm. Even if that works, he hates being disappointed. He gave Greyback the task to kill Porch but he didn't. Wouldn't he find that strange?"

"No, he wouldn't! In fact, Greyback might even be awarded for not killing Porch." Harry smiled at Tom's stunned expression. "You don't know what you're dealing with, Tom. I have dealt with several deatheaters over the years." He said with a touch of pride in his voice and started walking away to his office when Tom's final words to him stopped him dead.

"None of those deatheaters were Lord Voldemort's sons. They were easier to conquer."

Harry turned back to look at him. Tom stood his ground. He had never even spoken Voldemort's name let alone admit that he was son to him. Harry had never heard that name in his voice within these walls and yet, here they stood. "True, but to conquer one of Voldemort's sons, I have another one, haven't I?" It was a question and they both knew it.

Tom walked away without another word.

For the nest few days, he hardly visited Harry. Porch and Duds told him about Harry's plan which he had explained in the DA meeting he had called after releasing Greyback. From what Tom had heard, Hermione had used a memory charm on Greyback in which she had implanted a memory in Greyback's mind that had Porch confessing to Harry that he hadn't known a thing.

According to Harry, if Greyback told Riddle that he had overheard Porch tell Harry that he had not known anything and then Greyback would have killed Porch, Harry would be sure Porch had known something and got to the bottom of it but now, since Porch had no clue about their meeting, it would not be wise to kill him and raise an alarm.

Tom, who had not much idea about the way Riddle thought, couldn't exactly find it beneficial or harmful. Riddle could or could not buy that. But Harry believed he would and if he did, he would go through with his meeting with the giants on the last day of May. To Harry, that was an opportunity and one that may not come along otherwise but to Tom, it was a dreadful prospect.

hmmm...greyback is very annoying - tom needs to learn more about these crazy deatheaters that harry and co have dealt with...i hope they share stories...

Now that Tom has found the reserection stone he seems to develop the desire for the elder wand. Hope he understands soon what he hold and does not end up calling his father or mother back

I Hope Tom And Harry Both Maintain Their Composure And Don't Lose It To Anger When These Filthy Deatheaters Try To Have A Go At Them...That Wont Help.

I'm Really Waiting To Read What Happens Next. What Are You Gonna Show About The Hollows? Harry Once Again Will Unite Them? Or Will It Be Tom? But As Far As I Know, Ignotus Peverell's Cloak Of Invisibility Won't Work For Anyone But The Descendants Of His.
