Nice part.

Indeed attacking I'm riddle and the others in the Malfoy manor is not a good idea. They will have to bring the enemy out in the open.

The moment Tom left Harry's office he was cornered by Duds and Porch. Both of them wanted to know what exactly had happened.

"I can't tell you because Harry has told me not to." He answered them.

"Since when does that matter among us?" Duds asked. Porch remained silent. He knew Harry would exerciser such secrecy only where it was needed.

"Fine, don't tell us." Porch said as Duds opened his mouth to argue. "At least don't cut us off completely. All you do these days is stay locked up with Harry."

Tom looked at them. They were right. He had hardly been with either of them for a while now. "Fine, then let's have Breakfast in your hut tomorrow. How about that?"

"Breakfast?" Both of them stared at him. It was holidays and none of the three of them had ever awoken early on a day off. They always either had Brunch or Lunch but Breakfast was simply not an option.

"Actually, I have to go to London tomorrow with Harry so I'll be up early anyhow."

"London, for what?" Duds asked.

Tom raised his eyebrows at him.

"Fine, don't tell us, but if you bail on our Breakfast tomorrow, you're dead."

Next morning Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny all went to the Great Hall for breakfast to see Tom sitting at the table cracking jokes and Estella sitting in front of him laughing at those.

Tom had completely forgotten about his Breakfast with Duds and Porch. He had been leaving the Castle when he had run into Estella. He had simply been incapable of detaching himself from her ever since.

"Tell her the one with the caterpillar." Padma said to Tom.

"Oh yeah, Know what Estella this one is far more funnier than anything."

"What?"

"Well a young wizard blew off his daddy."

"Really? How?"

"He said,'Daddy, are caterpillars good to eat?' The Wizard scolded his son for naming pathetic stuff at the dinner table.' Have I not told you never to mention such things during meals!' His mother asked him more politely,' Why did you say that, Junior? Why did you ask the question?' Know what he said?"

"What?"

"'It's because I saw one on daddy's lettuce, but now it's gone'".

Estella let go of her spoon the moment she heard that as Tom, Padma and Louisiana laughed solemnly.

"Don't worry it's not in your food." Tom winked at her.

"No, it isn't. It's in yours." said Estella with a sudden brightness in her eyes.

Estella, Padma and Louisiana all burst out laughhing as Tom looked down into his plate and saw one crawling over his bacon. He took out his wand, swished it and it got washed off the bacon. "Where did that come from?" Tom asked laughing with the rest.

"I transfigured the litle bread crumb on your bacon into a caterpillar." said Estella brightly.

They both laughed out. Tom looked at her solemnly. He didn't know why but she really made him happy. He was just about to compliment her on her beauty when Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny joined the table.

"Good Morning." Harry said at large to the table. Everyone nodded in reply except of course for Estella.

"Good Morning, Professor. How are you feeling today?"

"Oh, I'm very good. What about you?"

"Oh, I'm feeling hillarious! It's such a lovely morning, isn't it?" she said looking at Tom who could do nothing but to look at her. He had understood her remark very well. It was indeed a beautiful morning. If Harry hadn't asked him for a visit to London, he would have spent it with her. Even if he didn't have a reason to, he would have found one.

"Yeah." Harry said shortly not wanting to stretch their conversation just as Tom sighed.

"God, how can she be so beautiful?"

Thankfully for Tom only Ron was near enough to hear that.

"She's a veela."

"What? Really?"

"Yeah, her great great grandmother was one."

As Tom blinked unbelievably he was pulled out of his thoughts by Harry.

"Tom, you remember we've to go to London today?"

"Yeah." Tom replied and tore his eyes away from her finally getting up. As he did his eyes fell on the entrance to the Great Hall and he saw Duds and Porch standing there glaring at him angrily. The moment they had seen him watching, they turned on their heel and walked away.

realized i didn't comment on the last update since i read it in a small break between classes...

I don't think so... The Order of the Phoenix in Harry's time carried so many tragedies that none of them want their children to get into something like that not yet at least. Even Porch's and Tom's induction in the Army is need based. Porch is Half Giant like Hagrid and Tom has extraordinary powers. May be one or two more inductions will take place based on need but they'll want to keeo their children away from it 😛 But let's c what happens 😃

Tom nearly ran out after them. Once out of the Great Hall, he summoned Peeves to himself. He didn't even need to say anything, his wink was enough for Peeves. He tripped over the two of them before either had stepped out of the Castle and both fell over the final steps out into the grounds.

"Really? First you bail on us now you trip us?" Duds spoke up first sitting straight on the grass as did Porch.

The moment Porch sat straight he pulled Tom's leg and he fell beside them. "Satisfied?"

Tom asked laughing out as Porch and Duds burst out themselves.

"Hell yes!" Porch pulled him in a sitting position.

"So, you bailed on us for her?" Duds asked winking a Porch.

"Who?" Tom asked evenly amused at his question.

"The blond little Veela!" Porch replied.

Tom flushed. "Of course not. Padma called me for Breakfast. You know I've not had time to be with her either, not since all of us would gather with Neville."

"Padma wasn't laughing that hard on the famous caterpillar joke!" Duds sniggered .

"Yeah, and we saw you drooling over her at dinner yesterday." Porch said poking him in the chest and grabbing him from falling back instantly. Porch sometimes forgot he was quadruple of either Tom or Duds, especially when he was overexcited.

"It's not like that..." Tom started and saw both of them raise their eyebrows at him.

"Alright, I give in. It is like that. I like her, happy?"

"Not really." Duds replied seriously.

"Why?" Tom asked his smile fading.

"What would become of poor old Dory now?" Porch asked bursting out as Duds burst out too.

"O C'mon! Dory's just attracted to me. It'll die down as soon as she's out of here and that's not very far ahead is that?"

"You ought to have given her a chance." Porch said a little more seriously.

Tom didn't meet his eyes. He had never really thought of having a girl in his life like that. He had always had something to worry about, something to deal with. He never really had the time or the heart for such luxury. With Estella, however, none of this had ever crossed his mind. All that he could see was her beautiful self illuminating his surroundings.

"In my office, 10 minutes." Tom received Harry's Stag before he could answer. He bid good bye to Porch and Duds. As he stood up, he realized his white shirt was patched with grass green and mud. He decided to change it before leaving. Anyways, his white shirt had adopted a habit of turning red all too quickly these days. It was better if he wore something else for a change.

He went to his room and in a hurry didn't shut the door behind him. Harry needed him in 10 minutes. He threw off the white shirt, pulled open his wardrobe and started looking for a decent color. He had just pulled out his light blue shirt when-_

"I am so sorry, I should have knocked!" Estella had entered without realizing he was changing. She had turned away almost instantly.

Tom turned his back to her as he pulled on his shirt. "It's alright." His own ears turning red. "I was leaving for Harry's office..." He said buttoning up quickly and turning around to see that she had already left.

He gulped down. Why did all embarrassing things happen to him? He took a deep breath, his heart was hammering against his ribs. He could almost hear it. She could have walked in about 2 minutes later and they could have had a proper conversation before he left.

Now, he would have to leave immediately. Nevertheless, as he left for Harry's office, he summoned Peeves again. If he couldn't be here for her, he could at least do something for her.
