So voldemort is indeed back eh? And the prophecy sounds daunting. But I hope tom is able to fight back like Harry did. After all, like dumbledore once said, what matters is the choices u make.

Thank you!!!😃 I hope someday she comes across it too!! 😛😃 As the title suggests, Voldemort will return, only question that matters is that how he does it? And yes, as Dumbledore puts it, it's all about the choices you make.

each chapter is getting more exciting. hope they find tom and get the hooded guy too. he seems pretty powerful too but nothing beats the elder wand!

Tom lay sprawled on the Forest floor bleeding profusely. He knew the curse that had been used was an Unforgivable Curse and he knew the counter curses for it. But time and blood were both waning for him. He reached out for his wand.

Once he had held it he felt a ray of hope pierce his heart. He started muttering counter curses under his breath. Slowly as if his effort was giving him strength, he lifted himself up on all fours, then with the help of a tree trunk on his own two feet.

After 10 minutes he realized the bleeding had ceased. He conjured a mirror out of nowhere then pulled open his shirt. The gashes across his chest and gut were still fresh and burning wildly and he could feel a harsh pain piercing more than his skin. The curse had not been lifted. Yet he had been successful in ceasing the bleeding. He knew he didn't have enough strength to do any more. This was a powerful curse, only a Wizard who was an expert at countering such curses could heal him completely. This would have to do for now.

He buttoned up his shirt, cleaned himself up with his wand tip as blood stains disappeared from his shirt and it became whole again sewing itself up where the gashes had torn it.

He had to return to the Castle. He had to tell Harry about him.

"Could you tell where he had been going?" Hermione asked turning to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore shook his head. Before he had answered, however, a very scared Witch had suddenly appeared in his portrait. "Professor, someone has been attacked in the Entrance Hall."

"Who?" Dumbledore asked as Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny pulled out their wands.

"It's the new librarians I think."

"Inform Lavender and Porch at once." Harry ordered the Witch and Dumbledore both of whom left immediately. He turned to Ron, Hermione and Ginny. "Spread out then alert all portraits, ghosts and Peeves. Someone will see him."

"You don't need to look for me, not when I have found you, Harry Potter."

Harry's office door had stood open for how long, none of them had noticed. A Tom Riddle in a black cloak had just appeared removing his disillusionment charm. The imposter stood smirking at their shocked faces, his wand pointed at Harry.

The imposter left Tom's room in the hopes of visiting Harry Potter to discover exactly what had allowed him to penetrate his powers. This was his opportunity to corner Harry Potter. A dream come true to him, an accomplishment that he had not anticipated so early.

He found, once out in the Castle, that there were no indications as to where the Headmaster's resting place lay. He would have to ask someone. He had only just figured it out when a duo came into view.

As they drew nearer he realized that they were coming towards him. He stood awaiting them silently.

"Redefining yourself, are you?" The lean one shot at him staring at his cloak.

He smirked. They thought he was Tom. "Not quite. Point me to the Headmaster's office."

"Now, here's a Deputy Hogwarts will remember, who doesn't even know where to find the Headmaster." The lean one replied again as the bulky one blocked his way from the other side as if they thought he was going to run for it.

He had penetrated their minds easily. He knew where to find Harry Potter. He didn't need to waste his time with them. "I shall take your leave now." He had come here for Harry Potter and those in league with him only. He had no intentions of leaving an unnecessary heap of bodies behind him.

He had taken one more step when the bulky one behind him had grabbed his hands and pinned them on his back. The flare of rage on his face stopped the lean one from advancing on him. He broke away from the bulky one, turned around and in a flash his wand was out.

A smirk lingered his face when his eyes met their fearful faces. They had pulled out their wands too but he knew what they were thinking. They were going to run away from him. He couldn't let them do that now, could he?

He pointed his wand at the lean one. "Tellentellegra!" His legs got out of his control as he crashed on the stone floor while the bulky one ran.

"Stupefy!" The bulky one fell as his stunner caught him in the back.

The imposter approached the lean one first. "Finito!" His legs stopped dancing about him but he knew he would wish they hadn't. It would be a lesser punishment. He was enjoying the fear lingering his eyes. "Sectumsempra!" The lean one passed out instantly as blood escaped his wounds and formed a pool around him.

He turned to the bulky one. "Enervate!" He wanted to see him in pain. He wanted him to plea for him to stop. But the fear stricken wizard couldn't utter a word. "Sectumsempra!" The bulky one didn't pass out but lay thriving in pain on the stone floor. A cry of pain had left his mouth when the curse had struck him. It would attract attention not that it mattered to him.

He looked at the bloodied mess as he walked on completely satisfied with his job. Only because he was in no mood to kill anyone else, didn't mean he couldn't enjoy himself a little.

Ron and Ginny walked behind him as he stepped inside the office, covering the exit as Harry and Hermione stood facing the imposter.

"What do you think? Your friends can help you fight?" He smirked at Harry.

"Who are you?" Harry asked him threateningly.

"Don't you already know me, Harry Potter? I am Tom Marvolo Riddle, the Dark Lord incarnate."

"You are nothing but an imposter!" Ron shouted at him gaining his full attention.

"You have named me a mere imposter! I am offended." And for the first time Harry saw glint of red in those hungry yet very familiar eyes. "However, I shall punish you for my grievances later, right now, I intend to know something. How did you do it, Harry Potter? You penetrated my powers? What is it about you that makes you more powerful than I am?"

"I shall warn you only once." Harry replied gulping down. The imposter had no fear. "Lower your wand."

His smirk widened at Harry's words. "You have no curiosity, have you Potter? Aren't you going to ask me what became of my utterly muggle counterpart?"

"What have you done with him?!" Ginny asked him threateningly.

"You care about him." It was a statement not a question. "Such an insult that is..."

"Enough!" Harry couldn't take it anymore. "Answer me, who are you or you shall suffer the consequences for your choice."

His smirk faded and his glinting light red eyes held Harry's with a rage he could almost feel. "I am the object of your search, Harry Potter. I am Lord Voldemort in flesh." He had announced it with pride in his eyes. "I killed Mayweather, I killed Neville and Hannah, two of your league. I have come this far in avenging the Dark Lord's demise, today I shall accomplish this revenge in its entirety when I kill the 3 who were chiefly responsible for his fall."
