He came out of his thoughts as she hiccuped and made her sit down on the bed. As he gave her water and sat holding her hand in his she relaxed after a while.
A: Maine kaha tha tumse don't bother with the interviews. Tum humari company main join ho jao but... now calm down; paani peeo. Dekho shaant ho jao main...
As she drank water and finally heard him she was back. She mistook his anger and thought maybe he was saying all that in anger as inspite of him suggesting her not to go she had disobeyed him and was now crying. He must be worried that what if someone else knows; It would not be good for his reputation; his family's reputation so she spoke up;
" It's okay...I am fine Armaan. Aur tum tension mat lo. Main kisi se kuch nahi kahungi is barein main. I won't let your reputation down!"
Her words antagonized him to no ends and so he gripped her shoulders and pulled her so harshly that her heart skipped a beat.
A: Tumhe lagta hai ki main itna gira hua hu ki tumhare saath jo hua vo kisiko pata na chale is liye ye sab keh raha hu? Vo bhi is dar se ki mera reputation...
" What the f***! Have you lost it totally!
Tumhe kya lagta hai; mera naam ya meri reputation tumhari izzat se itni jyaada hai; you think I don't care that some f***ing bas***d tried to force you and all I would think about is my reputation! Koi behuda insaan meri patni for that matter kisi bhi ladki ki izzat ujhaal raha ho aur meri reputation kharab na ho is liye use ye umeed karu ki vo shaant ho jaye; itna gira hua lagta hu main tumhe!
R: Mujhe laga ki vo...
A: Kya...Kya laga tumhe ki main tu... he rubbed his face with his palms trying to calm down and gulped his anger for the moment. She was already in a bad state of mind and his anger must have worsened it!
" Dekho tum...tum so jao. Vaise hi bohot stressed ho; khud ko aur pareshaan mat karo. Just sleep; hum kal subah baat kar lenge!

He walked out of the room banging the door harshly while she sat there regretting her words. Maybe she spoke a little too much and also misunderstood him a lot. Tired out of weeping she never knew when she felt asleep. Armaan returned back to the room around midnight and by then she was fast asleep on the couch. He could see the dried tears at the corner of her swollen eyes which meant that she had cried a lot even after he went out of the room. He did not like this fact a bit that she had been crying the entire time. For some unknown reason her crying did not go well with him. He felt something twist in his heart as he saw her cry today. Not that he had seen her smile a lot; but neither had he seen her cry; Ever. And he wished he would never see ever again. His gaze fell on her wrist and seeing the wound his feet moved towards her on their own accord.

He sat down in front of her staring at her pale face helplessly and his nerve tightened remembering the reason behind that wound. He held his hand up to caress her wrist but then stopped midway. He did not know why but something made his hand move. This urge to caress her head as she slept uncomfortably had been there for a while now; but today it seemed irresistable. Listening to his heart he finally brought his hand to her head and caressed her forehead and he thanked his stars that he did that. As soon as he touched her head he realized that she was burning with fever. The couch had been of no help either and she groaned due to her uncomfortable position.

He felt a stab in his heart as she groaned in pain. Within a minute he picked her up and placed her on the bed. Pulling the blanket up till her neck he made sure she was covered properly and immediately turned off the ac. He rubbed her hands and feet as she shivered. Removing his first aid kit he quickly took the tablet on his hand and tried to wake her up. But she just kept groaning and saying something in her sleepy mode which he failed to understand. With great difficulty he somehow made her sit straight and opening her mouth made her have the medicine somehow.

Sitting by her side he kept rubbing her palms and feet for almost an hour after which he could feel that her temperature had come down a little. Heaving a sigh of relief he caressed her head as he was hell worried for her now. As the sun set in she was absolutely normal and he was completely relieved as her temperature had gone down. She was still fast asleep when she felt some one tap her cheek trying to wake her up. Her entire body ached and absolutely refused to even move a limb but the person trying o wake her up seemed adamant. With great efforts she opened her eyes to find The Armaan Mallik standing in front of her give her a bright smile.

She stared at him as if he was some alien. Never ever till now had he smiled at her so nicely; and this smile wasn't fake she could just tell. But why was he smiling at her? Just as she was out of one question arrived another that how the hell did she land on that bed! She jerked up and was about to say something but then found Ananya sitting besides her and swallowed her words then and there.

An: Ab kaisa lag raha hai bacha?
She was about to answer her but a shooting pain in her head made her hold her head.
An: Kya hua sir dard kar raha hai? Koi baat nahi; ye le garma garam coffee pee le; aur fatafat ye naashta khatam kar. Main abhi aati hu theek hai!

Ananya walked out of the room and she stared back at Armaan. He understood very well all the questions running in her mind. So he just signaled her to calm down as he sat down besides her.
A: Vo kal raat tumhe bohot tez bukhar chad gaya tha; toh is liye main tumhe yaha bed pe le aaya. Vaha couch pe tum bohot uncomfortable thi aur shayad tumhari peeth main bhi dard tha isi liye. Maa subah tumhe bulane aayi thi aur tumhe abhi tak sota hua dekha toh vo samajh gayi ki tumhari haalat theek nahi; is liye I told her about your fever.
R: Aur ye haath ki dressing?
A: Vo...maine hi ki thi.
An: Maa ne jaroor poocha hoga is barein main?...
She bowed her head getting all worried as the preious night's incident came back.
A: Hey chill...maine maa ko bol diya tumhe chudi lag gayi thi. Don't worry; sab theek hai. Forget all that okay?

He again gave her an assuring smile and she too nodded her head this time with a weak smile. The entire day sh was pampered sick after that leaving her with no time to think about the previous day's incident. It was evening time and Riddhima had been noticing armaan; he looked quite restless the entire day. As if he was waiting for something; some call. He had his phone in his tight grip thoughtout the day. Riddhima had come downstairs quietly under the pretext to have some water as no one allowed her to touch her feet to the ground from morning. But actually she was really bored siting inside that room.

She had just picked her glass and was about to drink water when she heard Armaan's cell phone ring and even before it completed one ring it was picked up. She peeped out and found him talking on the phone in monosyllables. He grabbed the remote from the centre table and switched on the tv changing it quickly to news channel. The flashing news on the screen immediately caught her attention. It read;


"Mr. Sabarwal CEO of Sabarwal Company is been arrested under various charges for comapany's fraud."

Sunne main aa raha hai ki Mr. Raj Sabarwal peechle kuch saalon se company main kaafi kuch afra dafri kar chuke hai par apni pohoch ki vajah se unke sare karname gupt rahe.Par aaj aakhir kar unke sack ka khulasa ho gaya aur unhe giraftaar kar liya gaya hai. Sunne main toh ye bhi aaya hai ki inhone kaafi saari ladkiyon ko naukri dilane ka lalach dikhakar unka shoshan kiya hai.

Riddhima turned towards Armaan who had a smirk on his face as the screen now showed Sabarwal who was been taken away by the police. The next words from his mouth that she heard snatched the ground under her feet.

A: Great work Kashyup. Thanks! ...haan don't worry...He deserved it. Thanks once again!
Mr. Sabarwal was the same guy who had tried to force Riddhima yesterday. Armaan's words were enough to make her realize that it was he who was behind that bas****'s under arrest. But why would Armaan go to that extend! Just because he had tried to force her? Was that his reason?

As Armaan cut the call he felt someone's presence behind him. As he turned around he was stunned to find Riddhima right behind him.
R: Armaan? Tumne ye sab...
A: Shh...shh; I can explain. Par yaha nahi!

Wiping her tears away she held his hand and took him straight to their room.
R: Tum is sab ke peeche ho?... Tumne use arrest karvaya?
He just kept looking everywhere trying to avoid her. Bolo Armaan; speak up.
A: Umm...haan. Actually...vo kal usne jo bhi tumhare saath...vo main...
R: Tumhe kaise pata chala ki kaun...I mean how did you know ki usine mere saath...
A: I asked Aarav about the company you had been to. And the rest...well...main Mallik empire ka CEO aise hi nahi hu Riddhima. I have my own sources! But does all this really matter?

She stared at him unbelievably. What was this guy made of? He had done such a great thing and was yet been so modest!
A: Dekho Riddhima...main tumse baat karna hi chahta tha. See; maybe we started off on wrong foot. Shayad maine tumhe bohot galat samjha tha; is liye I treated you so bad. Par...I am really sorry for that. Tum vaisi bilkul nahi ho jaisa maine socha tha and I really feel bad for whatever I said or did. But now that I know you well; can we start afresh...can we be friends?

Riddhima kept listening to him quietly as she was speechless. No scratch that. HE had made her speechless! Maybe he was right; even she had judged him wrong. Accepted that the storm cloud "contract" was always going to be a fact between them; but other than that one fact she knew nothing bad; or couldn't pin point anything wrong about him! He was so good regarding his family; could do anything for his brother; loved his mom dad; was never out of his dad's words and most important; he always made her little sibling smile and took best care of her. There was no harm in accepting him as a friend. Infact she would be really lucky to have such a friend by her side. Maybe Shashank for the first time had made a correct decision. Though he had chosen a wrong path; but this guy was for sure the best and would always take care of Samaira undoubtedly.

As she was lost in her thoughts; Armaan thought maybe she didn't feel him worth her friend; so dejected by her silence he dropped his hand and started moving back.
A: Umm...it's okay...I understand; maybe...some other time.

She was brought back by his words and instantly wiping her tears she held her hand out for him with a huge genuine smile;
Friends?
He smiled at her and obliged by shaking his hand sealing their friendship.

Long lost friends had found their way back; that is what it seemed so after looking at AR these days. After that night as they accepted each other as friends; everything changed. They now found it difficult to be quiet as far as they were together. Every thing and anything around them could be there point of discussion staring from the smallest of micro-organism to that huge moon and twinkling stars. Riddhima was still in Aarav's team but now was an active member in every debate. Riddhima had completely forgotten about the contract; had recently found her smile back and had also discovered the dimpled smile of Armaan. Ananya and Billy were now relieved that everything was normal between their kids while Aarav enjoyed AR's daily Tom and Jerry live episodes.
