Mrs.Patel left after a while though disappointed with Armaan but she didn't dare say anything more after seeing his anger. Still Riddhima apologized again as she left. Ananya and Billy consoled Riddhima and Ananya apologized as she knew Mrs.Patel had gone a little overboard but Riddhima said that she was all fine and understood and she surely didn't need to apologize as she was her mother so it was wrong if she apologized. But Aarav who also had always disliked Mrs.Patel tried to cheer Riddhima as he knew whatever she said but still she was upset. After a while she went with a plate full of food.
As she entered the room she found Armaan sitting on the couch with his eyes shut but a frown clearly visible on his forehead. She tapped his shoulder and brought him out of his thoughts. She knew he was really angry with whatever happened; but she was feeling a little better now. As she remembered the way he defended her and had possessively called her his wife and about his rights on her she had liked it. She knew maybe she was wrong as she wasn't actually his wife but still it felt so good.
R: Armaan...dekho main khaana laayi hu; please thoda toh kha lo.
A: Riddhima maine khaana kha toh liya tha na neeche; ab firse kyu?
R: Tumne kuch bhi nahi khaaya hai dhang se. Please thoda sa toh kha lo na.
But as she saw him been adamant an idea struck her mind and she pouted at him.
R: Acha toh matlab maine itni mehnat ki aur tumhe khaana pasand hi nahi aaya. Maine toh saari tumhari favourite dishes bhi banayi thi; I thought you would love it. Par lagta hai ki tumhe toh kuch pasand hi nahi aaya. Theek hai fir jaane do...
She stood up to walk away but he held her hand and made her sit back.
A: Oye nautanki...lagta hai mera kuch jyaada hi asar ho raha hai tum pe. Bina baat ke emotional blackmail kar rahi ho! Vaise tumne khaana khaaya?
She looked away and he did not need any answer. He quickly took a morsel and offered her;
A: Lo pehle tum khao. Tum bhi mere saath khao toh hi main bhi khaunga.
Riddhima smiled at him and took the bite.
As they were done with their dinner she told him that she would give him a head massage as his head was aching. He sat on the floor resting his back against her legs while she was doing his champi.
A: Tum bhi na Riddhima; vaise toh mujhse itna ladti ho toh buaji ke saamne chup kyu thi? Aur maafi vegera mangne ki kya jarurat thi tumhe?
R: Tch...Armaan vo humari guest thi; unka man rakhna humara farz banta hai na!
A: Par sach; aaj toh unhone had hi kar di. Matlab seriously yaar; its 21st centuary; kya aap-vaap laga rakha tha unhone! And I know ki aap bolne main kuch burayi nahi hai; but please tum mujhe aap kaho ye main tolerate hi nahi kar sakta; that would be so...so weird. Tum meri dost ho yaar; you are equal to me aur vo...
R: Main sab samjhti hu Armaan par unke thoughts humse kaafi alag hai. Vo bhi apni jagah pe sahi thi; pati ko respect dene ki hi baat toh kar rahi thi na vo. Unhone jo reeti rivaaj follow kiye vohi hume samjhane ki koshish kar rahi thi bas.
Ye sab chodo; ye batao sar dard kuch kam hua?
A: Hmmm...
R: Tum bhi na; bina matlab ghussa ho jaate ho. Pehle hi itna kaam hota hai tumhara aur ab ye sab tension jo ghar main hua. Toh sar dard karega hi na; upar se tumhe khaasi bhi hai; uski dawai bhi leni hai...
She was busy ranting when she felt some weight on her legs. As she looked down; Armaan had fallen fast asleep on her lap and now she was in a fix. She wanted to wake him up as his closeness made her tremble but seeing him so calm she did not have the heart to disturb his sleep.
She caressed his head staring at his calm posture. He had given her so much in such short span of time. He was an absolute amazing beign to be wth. He had always taken care of her; made her smile and had protected her from every bad. She could never find a friend as good as him. As she thought over those lines a question erupted all of a sudden;
Was he really a FRIEND; just a FRIEND?
Whatever happened today made her feel proud of him; but as his wife not as a friend. But was she allowed to think so? Apparently not!
He was bound to a contract and aferall Samaira was the one who was supposed to be in her place. And she was going to be just after three more months. But then what about her? What about their friendship? Was it possible for her to forget him?
R(thinking): Khud se ye sach kab tak jhuth bolti rahegi Riddhima. Tu jaanti hai ki tu use dost se jyaada apne pati ke taur pe dekhke khush hai! Jo bhi aaj usne kaha vo tujhe acha laga kyunki baton hi baton main sahi lekin he spoke about his rights on you as a husband! Ye sirf dosti nahi hai Riddhima. Tu use pyaar karne lagi hai. Tu humesha use aise hi khud ke paas rakhna chahti hai.
Shayad haan...par ye nahi ho sakta.
She withdrew her hand from his forehead as she stared thinking on the term LOVE!
Meri zindagi main pyaar ke liye koi jaga nahi hai. Vaise bhi use toh dur hona hi hai mujhse. Main khudgarj nahi ban sakti; ye saari khushiyan main nahi Samaira deserve karti hai aur use hi milni bhi chahiye!
Armaan woke up as she had stopped caressing his head andrealised that he had fallen asleep in her lap! He quickly moved his head away and moved away.
A: Umm...sorry vo; mujhe pata hi nahi chala kab aankh lag gayi.
R: It's okay; vaise bhi tum shayad bohot jyaada thake hue lag rahe ho aaj. Tum so jao.
Riddhima had by now completely realized that she was falling for him; rather had completely fallen for him. So she was trying to maintain a distance as she knew if this closeness increased she was the one who was going to be hurt at the end of the day. While Armaan had been noticing the change in her. She was looking upset but he couldn't understand why. He also realized that she had been maintaining a distance from him which he was surely hating.
He was so used to her now that he couldn't bear a single day away from her. But then as he thought he realized she wasn't away; she was under the same roof with him. But her changed behavior was making him worried. He smiled remembering her smile; their bickering and small nokh jhoks. As he sat in his cabin he remembered their entire journey till now and that brought a slight smile on his face that absolutely reached his eyes.
The very first morning after their marriage how her soft hands had brushed against his cheeks to wake him up; her angelic face as she sat with her still wet hair. The goddess of beauty that she looked in the wonderful saree that she wore. Her gifts for everyone that made him come out of his misconception. Her every smile that made his day; her bond with his mom dad who now seemed her parents than his! And Aarav who was nothing less than a younger brother for her.
Everything was so perfect; life had turned out so beautiful as she had entered. But what went wrong in past few days that she behaved so indifferently! And as he remembered the incident of Mrs.patel; his blood boiled. He hated the way she insulted Riddhima. He realized all of a sudden that everything right from his start of the day till the time he retired to bed included Riddhima. Everything was just incomplete without her; maybe even he was!
He was just trying to figure out his feelings when he saw Riddhima standing in front of him. His elbow slipped down from the table as he saw Riddhima standing with a beautiful smile plastered on her face and was talking about something which he was least bothered about. He went closer to her and admired her beauty as she continued talking. A frown appeared on her forehead as a gust of wind made her hair fly and her fringes disturbed her; obstructing his view! He raised his hand and tried to tuck the fringe away when all of a sudden there was a knock. He turned towards the door with a smile still on his face and hand still in the same position.
The door opened up and there stood Riddhima standing in a beautiful white dress smiling at him asking his permission to enter the cabin. He smiled at her but found her staring back at him weirdly looking at his hand which was still raised up in air! That is when he came back to earth!
Wait a minute; Riddhima...Riddhima abhi aayi? Toh phir...
he turned to his side and found no one around him. He immediately took his hand down flabbergasted at his thoughts. The Riddhima who he saw a minute back was just his imagination! What the hell was wrong with him? But now was this Riddhima standing at the door real or again his imagination?
He walked towards her to confirm if she was really there and poked his finger on her cheek and she shouted at him making him flinch.
R: Armaaan...kya kar rahe ho?
A: Riddhimaaa...tum toh sach main yaha ho!
R: What are you talking about Armaan? Of course main hu; nahi toh kya mera bhoot khada hai yaha!Tum bhi na...
A: Vo... he gathered himself and kept his thoughts aside for a while.
Vaise tum yaha kaise. Matlab aaj office kaise aana hua?
R: Tumhari vajha se! Tum apna tiffin ghar pe hi bhool aaye the. Pata nahi kis duniya main khoye hue ho tum. Subah naashta bhi nahi kiya; apna tiffin ghar pe bhool aaye aura b aise weirdly behave kar rahe ho. Ho kya gaya hai tumhe?
A: Main bhi toh vohi sochne ki koshish kar raha hu!
R: Kyaaa? Ab kya khus phusa rahe ho?
A: Huh...nahi kuch nahi...kuch bhi toh nahi. Tum...tum baitho na. Lets have lunch; tumne bhi lunch nahi kiya hoga na so lets have lunch together!
R: Umm...nahi vo main...
A: Nahi koi bahana nahi haan Riddhima; please! Aaj tum pehli baar office aayi ho; vo bhi itne dur se sirf mujhe tiffin dene. Main tumhe aise hi nahi chodne wala bas!
She opened the tiffin box which contained mostly his favourite stuff. She served exactly the way he liked and placed all the things on the table that he would need while his meal. He just stared at her as she arranged everything thinking about what would he do without her. She knew him so well; maybe better than himself. They had their lunch discussing about whatever they did throughout their day. She seemed all okay as she spoke but still was a little precise and thoughtful of what she said or did.
By the time Riddhima was out of his cabin and he was all set to get back to work; he was sure of his feelings. He knew that he had started having feelings for her but kept ignoring it. But today as he actually imagined her; dreamt of her in daylight with wide open eyes there were no doubts left! He was sure she was obviously not just his friend anymorw. Atleast from his side; this friendship had been coverted into a lifetime bond with a new promotion. He was in LOVE and nothing could now change it.
A: Yes yes yes; mujhe pyaar ho gaya hai. I am in love! I love you Riddhima! I loveee you!
But just as his had strted celebrating his love; his mind stopped him abruptly;
Par Riddhima? Vo kya feel karti hai mere bare main? Kya vo mujhe apne dost se badkar kuch maanti bhi hai? Does she feel the same?
