One Shot: Every Single Day of our Lives

"How can he not remember Sharon? I mean this is ridiculous! He never forgets! NEVER!" cried Kriya, as she downed another tequila shot.

Sharon's eyes widened in fear as she watched her best friend's girlfriend -and her best friend- gulp down her 8th tequila shot of the night. Mentally smacking herself for agreeing to help her best friend with this awful plan of his, she tried to push a glass of water into Kriya's hand.

"Darling, I know Rey can be quite an ass at times, but I am sure he didn't do this on purpose! Now stop drinking, do you want to murder your liver?" chided Sharon.

"No. I want to murder Rey. What if I stab him with a broken shard of this shot glass? Or or, wait! I'll push him off a plane!" seethed Kriya in vengeance. "Oye, you there, sexy blue shirt! 2 more tequila shots!"

Chuckling quietly to herself, Sharon replied, "Well, a broken shard of this shot glass may only be able to stab his finger, if that's what you're aiming for. And pushing him off a plane won't really work, cause its really hard to open the emergency doors mid-flight you know. Oye, don't drink both of them! Let me have one!"

Sharon and Kriya gulped down the two shots and popped a slice of lemon into their mouth to alleviate the disgusting taste of the tequila.

Kriya turned towards Sharon, eyes brimming with tears as she looked her straight in the eye.

"I knew you'd always take Rey's side. Chaddi buddies jo thehre!" sniffled Kriya.

"Chaddi buddies? Really Kriya? Couldn't you have used a better term? I mean chaddi buddies sounds so gross. BFFs is a better word. I mean, chaddi buddies sounds as if Rey and I shared the same underwear. Gross." remarked Sharon, as the diva in her cringed at the term used by Kriya.

Much to Sharon's shock, Kriya burst into fresh sobs at the mention of Rey.

"Shit shit I'm sorry Kriya! Please don't cry! Yeah I despise the term chaddi buddies cause its so down market but you could totally use it! Like seriously!" exclaimed Sharon as she tried to pacify Kriya.

"You think I am crying cause you didn't like me using that term? Really Sharon? I'm crying cause I miss Rey!"

"Oh! I was so..anywho, you miss Rey?" asked Sharon happily, as this was what was supposed to be happening. Minus the alcohol, of course.

"Of course -hic- I do! I mean he's been away for 3 freaking weeks and even though he returned 4 days ago he's been away doing stuff for the academy and doesn't even call or message me! I miss going over to his house and hanging out! I miss him planning surprise candlelight dinners for me and dancing with me! I miss hugging him, I miss kissing him, I miss him kissing me on the neck, I miss him trying to pull off my blouse, I miss him-"

Realising that Kriya was drunk enough to be revealing graphic details of her sex life to anyone willing to listen at the moment, Sharon decided to interrupt her.

"Sweetheart, I love you, but Rey's like a brother to me. I do not want to know where, when and how does he kiss you!" remarked Sharon, shaking her head in disgust.

Kriya gasped in shock as she replied, "Hawww?! -hic- But why? He's such a good kisser! When he kisses me on my-"

"LALALA I don't want to know Kriya!" screamed Sharon over the pounding music of the bar that they were seated in.

Kriya turned away from Sharon grumpily, as she continued to mumble to herself about how much she missed Rey. Making use of the opportunity, Sharon dropped a text to Rey.

*text message*

Rey, your girlfriend is drinking tequila as if it were water. If you don't hurry up with that stupid plan of yours, she won't be in a state to appreciate your surprise!"

*text message ends*

Almost instantly, her phone buzzed.

Oh teri. Bring her home Sharon, Swayam and I are already done. And before you ask, YES. I've told your mom that you're staying over with me as we wanted to catch up on stuff, so you can do whatever you want with Swayam. PS: I don't wanna know what do you two end up doing. He seems very perky so I am already creeped out cause I have an inkling about what you guys are gonna be up to.

*text message ends*

Sharon turned a violent shade of red as she burst out into frantic giggles. She turned to face Kriya to convince her to get out of the bar, when to her horror, she saw 3 empty shot glasses in front of her.

"Kriya! Did you drink some more?!" exclaimed Sharon in shock.

"Yes! Dost dost -hic- naa raha! Pyaar -hic- pyaar, naa raha!" wailed Kriya in a baritone, that made her sound like a choked frog.

Shaking her head in despair, Sharon half dragged and half carried Kriya out of the bar to her car, and drove her to Rey's place.

Kriya stumbled out of the car and landed flat on her bum as Sharon rushed to her side to help her up.

"Kriya, why did you have this much to drink? Now come on in!" admonished Sharon concernedly, as she helped Kriya walk towards the door.

By the time Kriya managed to get her bearings right, she was already inside Rey's living room, something which annoyed the crap out of her.

"Sharon! Why did you bring me to this jackass's house? You know I am angry with him!" screamed Kriya, as she threw her bag onto the couch and stumbled towards the bedroom.

"Because you said you were missing him!" replied Sharon wearily, as she'd had enough for the night. The loud music in the bar and the few shots she'd gulped down with Kriya were getting to her head, and she wanted nothing more than to curl up next to the love of her life, Swayam. Though she suspected she was going to be doing a lot more than just curling up, and the thought sent tingles up her spine.

Almost as if he heard her thoughts, he appeared quietly behind her and wrapped his hand around her waist.

Sharon leaned into his frame as she let his fragrance overpower her senses. She turned her head slightly to drop a chaste kiss on his chin as he smiled at her.

"Lets go girlfriend, Rey will take it from here." smiled Swayam as he dropped a kiss on her forehead.

Turning in his arms, she replied, "But Kriya's quite drunk! I mean what's gonna happen?"

"Rey knows about it, you told him about how much she's had to drink naa? He's told me he has kept that in mind. Ab chalein? I've missed you so much." whispered Swayam, as he pulled her into his arms, eliciting a squeal from her. As her tinkling laugh filled the room, Swayam carried her out of Rey's house back to his pad.

By this time, Kriya had managed to totter her way into Rey's room, only to find it dimly lit with fluorescent lighting. As she blinked her eyes rapidly to get used to the lighting in the room, she saw a figure in approaching her. Clad in a slim fit button down white shirt and denims, the figure looked absolutely sexy.

"REY!" squealed Kriya, as she threw herself into his arms. He picked her up and swung her around as she reveled in the joy of being in the arms of her beloved.

As her put her back down on her feet, Kriya remembered that she was supposed to be mad at him, and kicked him in the crotch.

"KRIYA! Are you nuts?" screamed Rey, as fell onto the ground, howling in pain.

"No, but I -hic- kicked you in yours!" laughed Kriya as she saw him writhing in pain.

Bursting into a fit of giggles, Kriya landed up falling down on the floor next to Rey and burying her face in his neck, much to his astonishment. Of course, Kriya's proximity made him forget his pain and focus on the feeling of her nose grazing his neck.

"Kriya, you're drunk!" whispered Rey, chuckling, as he wrapped his arms around her

"Hawww. Kaise pata?" replied Kriya, as she burst into a fit of fresh giggles.

Rey shook his head at his girlfriends adorable behavior and hugged her tightly, reveling in the feeling of having his arms around her waist. Ignoring the throbbing pain in his crotch, he stood up, Kriya in his arms.

"Kriya?" asked Rey, as he helped her sit down on one of the couches in the room.

Kriya's only reply was a slight nod of her head, as she tried to snuggle into the couch.

"Don't doze off yet? I've got something for you?" whispered Rey carefully, as he picked up the remote lying next to him.

Kriya turned questioningly to him, as he gestured to the wall in front of them.

"But Rey, this is a wall! What do I see here? And I thought I was drunk!" laughed Kriya, as she hugged a cushion to herself.

The projector switched on suddenly, flashing a picture of Kriya and Rey's first meeting at the club in Dehradun, where she'd called him a linecutter. This picture was then followed by the following line:

"Happy 4 year anniversary, baatcutter"

"You remembered?!" gasped Kriya, scooting closer to Rey on the couch as she lied down on his lap.

"How could I forget this day baby? By far, the best day of my life! Now shush. Watch." replied Rey, dropping a chaste kiss on her forehead.

The two of them sat down through the 30 minute video, which contained pictures from the time they met till the last photo they took, snippets from their intimate dances and professional performances and candid shots from their daily lives.

"Rey, this is beautiful. I wish I wasn't so drunk." sniffled Kriya, as the video drew to an end.

"Actually, I'm glad you're drunk. It makes my work easier." smiled Rey, as he carefully extricated himself from her hold and stood up.

Kriya looked up at him, her eyes wide and questioning. As Rey got down to his knees with a coy smile on his face, Kriya's hands flew to her mouth in astoundment.

"Kriya, since the day I've set my eyes on you, I haven't been able to get you out of my head. Sure, we've had our moments where we've not been together, we've had our share of fights, but at the end of the day, I want to come home to you. I want you to wake up at 5 in the morning to perform pooja, I want you to stay at home and supervise Ramu kaka, I want you to send me and dad lunch, and I want you to gain weight so that you don't face issues during pregnancy."

"REY?!" screamed Kriya, lunging onto him and knocking him down on the floor in the process.

"Kriya, I'm clearly not the world's most romantic boyfriend, but erm, marry me?" whispered Rey, eyes shining in mirth.

Straddling him and pulling his shirt closer to her, she replied, "I'll marry you, but you'll be the one waking up at 5 to perform pooja, you'll be bringing me breakfast in bed and you'll be cooking me dinner. Every. Single. Day. Of. Our. Lives."

"Every single day of our lives, Ms Kriya Ghai." voiced Rey, as he took her lips in his to place a searing kiss. Much to his astonishment, however, Kriya pulled away almost instantly.

"You're mistaken Mr Reyaansh Singhania. Its Mrs Kriya Reyaansh Singhania." replied Kriya with a wink.

"God dammit you're so sexy. I love you Mrs Kriya Reyaansh Singhania!" replied Rey, as he placed his lips on her.

And this time, no one pulled away.
