Prologue
Her head felt heavy, and her hands numb...
Her eyes were red; she did not have the strength to even cry any further...
What wrong had she done to deserve all of this? What wrong had her love done that her Randhir had done all of this? She had loved him from her heart and soul, there were no second thoughts about it. And he reciprocated her love for him a thousand times more...He loved her more than anything in this world...He loved her more than he loved his arrogance, his ego , his complete existence- everything! ...She knew it!
Then what made him stray away from the path of love and respect? What made him do something so immoral?
But, why would a girl lie?And that too about something that would drag into it her morals too?
Now was the time she had to decide whom to support in this battle of sexes; a battle that could dent her and Randhir's life forever. It was a test of her faith, her love for him, her judgement of right and wrong. She had to pick a side to fight this battle - where on one side was the love of her life, her Randhir, on the other hand was a seemingly helpless female asking for justice. It was a test of her loyalty...
She clutched the newspaper that lay on the table, while a fresh stream of tears escaped from her eyes flowing through her tear stained cheeks. She sat their numbly, a silent scream escaping from her insides on seeing the newspaper headline -
