hello lovey pies m back with third part to my ss...

Before she could recover from that simple, albeit sexy gesture, before she could answer his proposition, he was out the door. And she must be out of his mind to be so incredibly attracted to Randhir after what she had been through. One Shekhawat brother in her life had been quite enough, Even though Randhir was polar opposite of Parth.

He was also extraordinarily sexy. And strong. And tempting. Tonight she had noticed the little things about , like how his dark chocolaty eyes seemed to change colour at times-- darker when he was serious. Lighter when he smiled, which he didn't do often enough. Of course if he did she'd be melting like a good chocolate fondue on regular basis.

Sanyukta shook herself out of the daze and forced herself back into reality. Through her parent's example, she'd learned to avoid overriding chemistry in a relationship at all costs. For that reason, among others, exploring more than friendship with Randhir was very ill-advised, because if underlying passion finally exploded, she wasn't certain she could resist being in Randhir's line of fire.

When she turned her treadmill off, for a split second she thought she would confront her past. Kaustuki approached her, sharing the same dark eyes as her Shekhawat cousins. Sanyukta smiled faintly, even if her ex's family was the last thing to see right now.

"Hey Kaustuki"

"Hi Sanyukta" she straddled near her, "I'm probably the last person you want to see right now after Parth's stunt"

"Then you've heard all about it" Sanyukta asked thinking her to be a mind reader

"I saw it"

"oh great! the physically fit would now be questioning my mental fitness" Sanyukta thought

"I'm not worried about that, I' m worried about you and I apologise for Parth being an ass" she said cutting her chain of thoughts

"I know you're not his keeper, It's not your fault" she said calmly "Randhir's already had a talk with Parth. Not that it did any good"

"I'm surprised Randhir didn't lay him out, considering how he feels about you" Kaustuki said with a grin

"He's a good friend" she said flatly

Kaustuki gave her an incredulous look "You think that's all he wants to be to you, Sanyukta?"

"I have no reason to believe anything else" though Sanyukta consciously denied the subtle signs for months

"What about the kiss you two had during holi last march?" Kaustuki asked , hurling Sanyuktaout of her mental musings.

My gosh she was psychic. Sanyukta's mouth dropped open momentarily before she snapped it shut.

"You know about that?"

"Almost everyone knows about it"

"define Almost"

"Don't be worried about aunt and uncle, rest we kids know it including Parth" she chuckled

And she thought she had suffered all the shock humanly possible in past two days

"Did Randhir tell you?"

"Are you kidding? Randhir never tells anyone anything. Parth saw the two of you together"

But he never mentioned Sanyukta thought "Does Randhir know everyone knows?"

"I doubt it. It's no one's business but yours and Randhir's"

She flipped her hand in dismissal, "It doesn't matter anyway it's one of those things. Something that happened months ago. I'd forgotten all about it."

Kaustuki looked doubtful and rightfully so considering Sanyukta was lying

"Whatever you say. But I tell you one thing, if given a chance, Randhir would be with you in a heartbeat. And a word of warning. When Randhir wants something, he always gets it, so be prepared"

Randhir hadn't been prepared for Sanyukta storming into his office, wearing a pair of black form-fitting yoga pants and a bright blue windbreaker. Her hair was piled on top of her head, with a few strands framing her flushed face. Every inch of her shouted sexy and Randhir's libido was definitely listening.

After closing the door behind her she leaned back against it as if her legs might not hold her up.

"I'm glad you're here "

he could say the same thing to her...

"i thought i told you to stay home for a few days"

"I went to the gym and ran into Kaustuki. She told me something I wanted to share with you"

When she strode to his desk and braced her hands on the edge, he recognised she meant business

"Did you know Kaustuki knows about the kitchen" she asked

He closed the lid on his laptop and kept his gaze on her face and said

"I take it she saw the show yesterday" he calmly told her

"Not that kitchen" saying so She pulled back the chair opposite to him and collapsed on it

"I'm talking about the day at your house back in March. In fact she told me even Parth knows about it" she added

"I really don't give a damn who knows about it, Sanyukta, I didn't take you up against my mother's cabinet " Randhir tried to push away the images that comment evoked

"It was only a kiss" he finished

"I know what it was" she said "I was there, remember?"

"Yeah you were there and I've never forgotten one moment of it. In fact I remember every detail" he said gazing at her with intensity

"I remember it was a mistake...huge mistake" she said

In his thoughts someday soon, he planned to remind her how good it had been. Right now he needed to focus on business, not on a memory that he'd relived on more than one occasion

"Have you checked your email?" he asked

"I decided to wait a while to do that" She looked surprised by the sudden change in topic

"Do you wish to start taping again" he asked

"I would like to give it a shot as I could apologise to my audience that way" she got up to leave,

"One more thing" she leaned forward and folded her hands on the desk in a death grip, "Did you record the show on your TV?"

"I did this time because it's a live airing" He recorded show every time so he could analyse he in...non-business-related ways ... "Why" he asked

"Because I didn't. I was so nervous, I forgot. If It's ok. I thought I might watch it at your place if it's ok with you, but I'd rather witness my downfall in private"

"Are you sure you don't want to give it a couple of days?"

"No I'd rather get it over with. I'm hoping it's not as bad as I think"

Randhir refused to leave her at his house by herself. He depressed the intercom and when his secretary answered, he said

"Tell jignesh something's come up and I need to reschedule our meeting for after lunch instead"

He turned his attention back to Sanyukta

"i'll go with you"

"That's not necessary, Randhir unless you're afraid I might crash your valuables" she said

He stood and came up around the desk

"I'm not worried for that. Since you have never been to my house, you don't know where it is"

"Now that you put it this way" she pulled a set of keys from her pocket "I'll drive us"

Randhir wasn't going to argue at that point. He'd let her call the shots until he found, the right way, to convince her to give up some control...
