Hey guys,

Thank you for all your wonderful comments. Loved them :)

By the way, Tesoro literally means Treasure. But it is an endearment too, which means sweetheart or darling in Italian. And Arnav meant all three :D

One more thing that I wanted to address since ages but never got around it, is the name of this FF. Title of the story is a reflection of the crux of the story, not its start, middle or the end. This is and will always be Making Khushi Mine. Khushi is doing all this for Arnav because somewhere down the line he has already made her his. Won her heart and devotion. She might have worked more on this marriage, but making Arnav her's was never her tension even in the slightest. So devoted was he to her that Arnav never gave her a chance to be insecure in that regard. And one reader has finally seen it the way I do. I would love it very much if you can take time out to read pixiegirl's comment on Page 74. Couldn't have worded it better myself.

Likes and replies after next Wednesday. Next update after that. Love ya all!!

Absolutely amazing chapter anamika . It's really good to know that Arnav hadn't abandoned her completely after leaving India . This chapter was beautifully executed. Loved how Arnav taught her wife to use the tv remote. Thanks !! Can't wait to read more!!! Bharti

thanks for the PM...i love the way you write conversations between this amazing couple...I do really want to see Arnav working his tail off on this relationship and getting over his insecurities by giving Khushi more love, care, and respect. She deserves it!!!!!!

Take your time for the next chapter and the rest of the updates. 😊

This story is nearing its end and I keep on re-reading it all the time these days. But after the update about the dinner on Arnav's b'day some chapters are kind of depressing 😭

I hope the next ones make up for all such chapters and even if we don't get any mushy romance we'd love to read more about their "normal" days 😳

p.s. You can totally ignore the first line of my post and update sooner if you wish
😉

Edit:

I am editing this post again as I thought a little about your note. You mentioned that Arnav never gave her a chance to be insecure. Loyalty-wise I agree about this. But in a relationship, the other person wants to know how important he/ she is for his partner. Specially females. Since most of the readers are females here, who can know it better than us? If I am not feeling well, no matter how much my husband takes care of all the household chores, I still expect him to ask me about my health and if I am feeling better or not. And we have had our fights because of this. 😳

I read pixiegirl's comment too, and I agree with what all the things Arnav did for Khushi as she has mentioned. But I don't find them extra-ordinary. I think most of the husband's would take care of their wife's expenses and safety anyway. In fact if he hadn't, it would be quite weird.

In this story so far, not only Arnav never expressed his feelings to Khushi, but he hardly complemented her. Wasn't that the reason for her to be upset in Dubai too? Khushi even asked him why he married her if he doesn't like her. Until Khushi saw the picture wall, she did not know Arnav liked her so much. Or until this chapter even she misunderstood his shyness to be his rudeness. Even when they had gone to Chandni chowk, she was kind of disappointed thinking that Arnav was not affected by her proximity. As you had posted in one of your previous notes, we, as readers know how much Arnav likes her, but he never gave that impression to Khushi. Only now she is also coming to know how much he likes her or cares for her.

If we talk about Arnav, he called the marriage as his own manipulation. But apart from that what did he really do to make Khushi his? From Dubai incident he knew that Khushi was hoping to hear from him something nice about her, but did he ever say that to her (except that rainy afternoon)? He broke her heart after she confessed her love to him, and the first conversation he started after that was the fight over her staying away for a month. Which girl would take it so kindly as Khushi has? The issue is not really him not saying "I love you" back to her, but running away like that form her after her confession. Even after the accident, we as readers now know that he eventually thought of her happiness and left her alone, but Khushi took it as his stance about their relationship, and it's 'finished' for him. Even Arnav himself think that he needs to stop pushing her away now. After being pushed away so many times, why would she feel secure about it?

Other than getting Khushi to marry him, what is it that Arnav did to make Khushi his? Just him thinking about it or being possessive doesn't make her his. If he truly thinks that she is part of his life, why didn't he ever share anything personal with her? She understands him better only because she came to know about it from Buaji & bade papa. But why was she punished so harshly by him for no mistake of hers? As a young girl, didn't that thought cross her mind? If no them, she would have never known why he behaved with her the way he did. Loyalty is not the only aspect in a relationship to make one feel secure or insecure. Trusting each other, sharing your joy/ sorrow, and knowing your value for your partner is also important, and Arnav never gave Khushi any reason to make her feel that way. That's why before the accident she was thinking that they both need a break to sort out their feelings/ thoughts. Why would she want to be away from Arnav if she is feeling completely secure in this relationship?

Putting it simply, if Arnav himself thinks that he has been pushing her away, and his own intention was just to make her a part of his life v/s the center of his existence, how can I be convinced that he has made Khushi "his"? If Khushi loves him, and is ready to do absolutely anything for him and considers herself to be "his", it's more because of her own choice, her own nature to see only good things in everyone and her own contribution in this marriage. If the title says "Making Khushi Mine", shouldn't that effort be made from Arnav? Like he did in MKM-I? Though I personally love this one as much as MKM-I if not more, this story so far, specifically till chapter 44 is not really what the title depicts at least for me.

Nice. I am liking this rebuilding of their relation a lot.

And I truly agree with Khushi that Arnav himself doesn't know what a loyal and caring person he is. How he will go to any lengths to prtect the people he cares for. With Khushi, he made so may mistakes because for one, his feelings for her unnerved him. He had such a low opinion of himself that he wasn't ready to believe that the girl loved him like crazy and that he was the centre of her existence, the way she had managed to become the centre of his. It took a near fatal accident of khushi to realse that it was her happiness that mattered to him even more than his need to have him in her life. That was the time he really realised his true love for her. LOVE and not just a desire to possess.
You know, you have brought out this self realisation in Arnav, the subtle changes in him so well making it very believable.
Because a person like him who had such major trust issues...who had been let down by his dear ones so badly ... and that too at a tender impressionable age...could never have changed overnight.
A very beautifully developed relation and a lovely story. I bet there is more to come.

Hmmm... Think Arnav will have to learn let go of his own doubts and insecurities to fi ally beleive that he has made Khushi his ...this self beleif about his relationship was lacking in the otherwise supremely confident Arnav. So as you explained in your note...Arnav by calling his wife his treasure and his sweetheart is reinterati g that khushi is his most pdized precious possesion...in a way he is allowing himself to take those first gi ger steps in beleiving in his relationship in his love for khushi and in khushis love for him.
