I don't know for whom I should feel sad... Khushi is a mess with her thoughts... Arnav is in terrible state... And Lavanya, what ever her and Arnav relationship was but she is hurting too...

Arnav and La has a son too... Where is he??

Loved the update... Waiting for the next...

when i read the update my initial reaction was "messy" and that got me thinking. life is messy and so kudos to you for capturing that aspect as well. relationships are not all about roses and champagne or their opposites. relationships are messy. La's bitchiness and her longing for arnav at the same time are messy. khushi's confusion over her emotions and what they shared is messy. aastha is just messed up 😉

Reserved for comment: Fantastic update!!! I can't even tell you how much I love this story.

Khushi's thoughts were penned down so perfectly. She was trying to justify her feelings, his actions and Lavanya's presence in his life.

Arnav having a son was a big surprise for me. I guess it shouldn't be because he's married. But the way you described the picture of Arnav & Aarav was so real that I immediately picturized Barun Sobti holding a little boy that looked just like him!!! 😳

So much more I want to say but this chapter really made me emotional.

Arnav obviously married Lavanya out of obligation and not love.

Can't wait for the next part!!!

Chapter 12(Teaser)

Sense and sensibility..

Subdued light mixed with light conversation filtered out of the windows of 'Shantivan', as in keeping with a decades old family tradition, it celebrated the advent of saffron harvest, with the entire staff of Saffron Fields being invited by Mrs. Astha Raizada to partake in the festivities.

It was the first week of November, and the stately chinar tree outside Khushi's window had transformed into an eye-catchingly flamboyant palette of colors...russet, gold, burgundy and burnished orange, that fluttered blithely in the Autumn wind.

With her rust colored dupatta fluttering, Khushi strolled along the grassy bank, her cheerless eyes reflecting the hues of yet another dusk. Coming to the quay, she walked along it's length and halted at it's end, bracing herself against the wind's onslaught. She was gazing at the sky, her eyes listlessly following the flight of a noisy gaggle of migrating geese, when she felt the back of her neck prickle, inexplicably. A sensation heightened by a sudden onslaught of a warm, woodsy scent, dearly familiar.

"No..", she thought, "It can't be. I'm imagining".

Taking a deep breath to calm her suddenly racing heart, she turned around and stilled.

Looking dreamily handsome in a black blazer over a light blue shirt, he looked down at her shell shocked face, his eyes flashing with sudden amusement. That flash intensified as he watched her dazedly extend a hand to touch his shirt front, as if half expecting him to vanish in thin air.

She started when he put his hand over hers, trapping it against his chest, making her feel his beating heart under her fingers.

"Yes, it's really me", he said, the corner of his lips curving in a smile.

"You are not hallucinating, Dr. Gupta".

Classic Jenny!! The exceptionally lovely descriptions of the flora...transporting one straight to the tree-lined shores of a lake in Kashmir...leaves shimmering like gold..

Just like she took us on various trips previously to...cleveland, srinagar, landour, mewar...

She cant believe its him..wonders if her heart has conjured him up...shows just how much she missed him...and he understands, having been through the same...

Lovely song...reminded me of Khushi's line in the library...are words even necessary?

I am going to hold you to all the promises of upcoming romance...looking forward to some beautiful moments in the next chapter...
