Chapter-3
"Air India announces its flight AI3748's arrival from New York"
Parth's eyes were scanning the crowd looking for Randhir.
"Flight land huye ek ghanta ho gaya hai par ye pata nahi kahaan reh gaya?" said Parth to himself dialing his number for the 10th time.
"Tumne pukaara aur hum chale aaye, jaan hatheli par le aaye re"
He could have recognized this voice anywhere in the world. As he turned he saw Randhir leaning on the pillar just behind him with his trade mark smirk.
"Kamine, kabse khada hai yaahan?" said Parth walking towards him.
"Jabse tu mujhe gaaliyaan de raha hai." Said Randhir looking at his cellphone.
"Saale teen saal baad mil raha hai. Ab gale lagne ke liye tujhe invitation chahiye?" said Parth looking at him.
With that Randhir came forward and gave his mortal enemy turned best friend a hug. Both of them had tears in their eyes, but before parting both of them wiped it.
"Tera samaan kahaan hai?" said Parth eyeing his surroundings.
"Bahaar. Chal ab." Said Randhir putting his arm around Parth's shoulder.
As they came out Parth saw a line of cars waiting. But all the cars had one thing in common. The trade mark sign "RS" sign on the hood.
"Ye sab gaadiyaan to teri company ki hain na?" said Parth eyeing Randhir suspisciously.
"Haan. Itni secrecy mein aane ke baad bhi meri India ki branch ko maalum pad gaya ki main aa raha hun so mere swagat-satkaar ke liye hai ye sab." He gave a mock smile.
"Aur ye do yamraaj jaise dikhne waale log in gaadiyon ke saath free aaye hain kya?" said Parth in Randhir's ear.
"This is Frank and Mark. And guys this is my best friend, Parth." With this both the men nodded in Parth's direction.
"Ye dono mere bodyguards hain. Meri jaan ko threats hain to isiliye. Chod wo sab. Ye bata, teri gaadi kahaan parked hai? Usi mein chalenge. Aur apna samaan tu laaya hai na?" Said Randhir.
"Tu inme se kisi mein nahi aaega?" asked Parth in a puzzled tone.
"Kaisa dost hai tu! Lene mujhe tu aaya hai aur mujhe keh raha hai doosri gaadi mein aane ko. Ab chal." Said Randhir pushing Parth towards the parking lot.
As they were driving through the roads of Delhi, Randhir asked "Arpita kaisi hai and Nikhil? Bada ho gaya hoga na?"
"Hmmm. He is 6 now. Arpita bhi theek hai. Dono summer vacations ke liye Arpita ke father ke yahaan hai Ooty mein" answered Parth looking into the rear view mirror.
"Waise hum log tere farmhouse tak aise hi sandwich hoke jaane waale hain kya?"asked Parth looking at the 2 cars driving in front and back of his car.
"Hmmm. Security reasons." Smiled Randhir looking out.
"Hum log kal subah Shimla ke liye niklenge, right?" asked Parth seeing Randhir lost in some other world.
"Haan. Soch le Parth. Agar tu Arpita and Nikhil ko chod ke nahi aana chahta then I complete understand. Main unhe nahi invite kar sakta kyunki meri threats ke chalte main nahi chahta ki jo gine-chune log bache hain meri life mein wo bhi door ho jaaye mujhse." Said Randhir in a distant tone.
"Tu mujhse apna picha nahi chuda paega mere bhai. To chup chaap baitha reh aur ye dialogues mat maar." Said Parth turning into the farm house's drive way.
Both of them settled down in their rooms while his bodyguards were briefing the Indian security group and setting up cameras in the parameter. At night after dinner both of them were roaming in the garden in complete silence. Parth was the first one to speak.
"Bhagwaan bhi kitna ajeeb hai na. Jab saari umeed chod di tab jaake taras aaya. Waise tu bolega kya usse? Kuch socha hai."
"Use apne saamne dekhne ke baad agar jaan bachi hogi to shayad kuch puch paunga?" Randhir replied in a defeated tone.
Randhir took out his cell phone and looked at the pic Parth had sent. A tear drop fell on the screen of his cell phone. Parth patted his shoulder on which Randhir wiped his tear.
"Wo mujhe avoid to nahi karegi na?" Said Randhir looking at the full moon.
"Jo tere naam ko apne naam se alag nahi kar paayi wo tujhe kaise avoid karegi?" said Parth taking out a folded paper from his pocket.
"Matlab?" asked Randhir puzzled.
Parth handed him the paper and said "Ye Sanyukta ka resume hai jo maine us school se nikalwaaya hai. Isme uska naam padh le ek baar."
Randhir opened the paper and looked at Parth with a smile.
"Yukta Shekhawat"
"Parth jaldi kar yaar. Kitna time laga raha hai? Jabse uthe hain tabse keh raha hun ki jaldi taiyaar ho par nahi ladkiyon ki tarah time laga raha hai" Randhir honked the horn for the umpteenth time.
As Parth got out of the gate, he saw a couple of girls ogling at Randhir sitting in the car. Randhir was obviously oblivious to it.
"Waise ye haircut suit kar raha hai tujhe. Par ye cigarette peena kabse shuru ki?" said Parth giving a speculative look to the cigarette in his hand. (Statutory Warning:- Cigarette smoking is injurious to health)
"Yaad nahi kabse par jab tension mein hota hun to apne aap jal jaati hai."winked Randhir and threw the cigarette out of the window.
"Waise teri ye sports car mein jaana zaruri hai. Ek to pehle hi aage peeche ye 2 cars ja rahi hain uspe teri ye car. Bahut zyaada attention mil raha hai humein" Said Parth as Randhir started his Blood red sports car, Battle.
"Sanyu humesha se aisi ek car design karna chahti thi to maine ye car uske birthday tak design kar ke launch ki thi. I want to show this to her isiliye hum log isi mein jaayenge." Said Randhir and screeched the car in a lightning fast speed through the driveway with the rest of the cars in his tow.
Sanyukta's room
FITE Girl's hostel
After all those tiring lectures and Lab work, Sanyukta's body was throbbing so she was standing below the shower washing all the grease away. She wrapped herself in a fluffy towel and came out. As she was drying her hair looking in the mirror, she heard a wolf whistle from her behind.
She was about to scream when her mouth was forcibly shut by a palm and another hand was clutching her waist tightly.
"Randhir" she gasped without turning back.
"Arey waah. Bina dekhe hi mujhe pehchaan gayi" he said leaving her.
"Haan. Tumhari in harkaton ki aadat pad gayi hai ab" said Sanyukta turning towards him.
But Randhir's heated gaze was enough to change her anger to blush. He was shamelessly gazing at her body from head to toe.
"Randhir. Please jao yahaan se." said Sanyukta turning back towards the mirror.
Randhir slowly walked towards her and stopped at a distance so that his chest was touching her back. She closed her eyes feeling his presence. He gently moved her wet hair from her left shoulder to the right with his index finger carefully so as to not touch her. He slowly started bending down and stopped when there was just a millimeter distance between his lips and her left ear and seductively spoke so that his lips were caressing her ear.
"Sach mein chala jaaon?"
"Randhir. Stop making things difficult for me." she almost moaned.
As if on cue Randhir caged her waist in his arms and started kissing and licking her neck fervently not leaving even an inch. As he bit her hard on her collar bone, Sanyukta tightly grasped his hands which were clutching her waist and tilted her head more giving him more access to her neck. His right hand started moving up and rested near her armpit to pull the towel away when he felt her shiver. With a lot of efforts he tore himself away from her and moved back. As she felt him move, she turned around to see him gazing out of the window taking long and calming breaths.
"Jao. Kapde pehen ke aao isse pehle mera irada badal jaaye" said Randhir without turning back.
She smiled and took her tank top and tracks and went to the bathroom. As he heard the bathroom door lock, he sighed but kept looking out.
After a minute the bathroom door opened and she came out. He turned and gave her a weak smile. She held his hand and made him sit on her bed. He was still looking down.
"Main tumhe rokti nahi." Said Sanyukta as her right palm rested on his stubbled cheek brushing her thumb across it.
"I Know. Isiliye piche hat gaya. Our first time will be very special, I promise" He said kissing her palm.
"Achcha, ye batao ye choron ki tarah mere kamre mein kyun aaye?" Said Sanyukta getting up from her bed and handed him the box of laddos her mom had sent.
He took a laddoo and stuffed it in his mouth and said while eating "Arey tumne hi to lab mein kaha tha ki tumhe mujhe koi design dikhaana tha?"
"Oh! Main to bhool hi gayi thi. Idhar aao na." she said walking towards her study table.
"Ye kya hai?" asked Randhir stuffing another laddoo in his mouth.
"Wo maine ek car ka design banaya hai. Batao na kaisa hai?" she asked Randhir hesitantly.
"Honest reply chahiye ya fir as your lover reply karun?" he said studying the chart.
"Honestly batao." She said dreading what was coming.
"Bahut saare loop holes hain" and he started listing them all and all of them were true. Sanyukta never doubted his genius mind.
She became a bit sad but then he said "Par iske basic design mein dum hai Sanyu. With some more work on it this can turn out to be a great design."
Her face lighted on hearing this and she threw herself in his arms hugging him tightly.
"Tum meri help karoge na?" she said still hugging him.
"Aise help mangogi to waise bhi mana nahi kar paunga." He said caressing her hair.
"Maine to iska naam bhi soch liya hai" she said playing with his shirt collar.
"Kya?" he said kissing her hair.
"Battle"
"Randhir kahaan kho gaye? Chai thandi ho rahi hai." said Parth pointing towards the tea he had in his hand.
"Kahin nahi." Said Randhir and paid the tea vendor.
After another 3 hours drive, they reached Shimla. They checked out their luggage in the hotel and then set out for St. Teresa's.
As soon as he stopped outside St.Teresa's his heartbeat started gaining momentum. He could feel her presence even in the air.
As they walked into the compound, Randhir's eyes started scanning every nook and corner of the school in the hope of getting a glimpse of her.
Parth stopped one of the nuns going towards the classroom and asked.
"Good afternoon mam. Wo humein Sanyu..I mean Yukta Shekhawat se milna tha. We are her friends from Delhi. Where can we find her?"
"Yukta is in the auditorium. Actually school ka annual function hai so she is taking care of the decorations. Yahaan se straight and second left." Said the nun and walked away.
Randhir's feet were stuck to the ground. She was merely a few feets away from her.
Parth said "Us tak pahunchne ke liye chalna padega Randhir."
Randhir took a deep breath and started walking. As he entered the auditorium, her sweet voice filled his ear.
"Arey koi hai ya nahi yahaan pe? Sab kaam mujhe hi karna padta hai." she muttered to herself climbing a long ladder that too wearing a light blue saree. She was looking beautiful.
But as she put her foot on the topmost step she lost foothold and fell. She closed her eyes in the anticipation of hitting the hard ground beneath her. But she never touched the ground.
"Meri baahon mein aane ka bahana dhund hi leti ho Farzi"
Her eyes flew open on hearing the deep baritone and as she found herself lost into those chocolate-brown orbs. His name escaped her lips with a gasp.
"Randhir"
