PART 14. EPILOGUE - 5 YEARS LATER

"And this is how, my dear angel, your father used his calculative brain and brought your mom not just into his house but also into his Office, AR Fashion House! And then started our...", Arnav trailed off as he noticed Arushi asleep in his arms. He smiled softly and continued, "And that story will be continued later on!" He placed the child in the bassinet. "Jab tum jaag rahi hogi tab!", Arnav spoke with a whisper.

It was the morning after Arnav and Khushi's Wedding Anniversary. Arnav had just gotten out of their room to go for jogging when he had heard Arushi crying. He had gone to her room wondering whether he needed to wake Khushi up to feed Arushi. But when he entered Arushi's room and picked up the child, he realised that she just needed her diaper changed. But as Arushi continued to cry even after she was changed, Arnav decided to tell her a story hoping that listening to his soothing voice might calm her down. Unable to think of any story right away, he decided to continue the story Khushi was narrating the night before. He started with the aftermath of Aakash and Paayal's wedding and had just reached till Khushi's job offer acceptance when Arushi fell asleep. He smiled and placed a kiss on his child. You might behave like me angel, but you look just like your mother! Arnav and Khushi's perfect mix, humaari Arushi! He thought fondly as he brushed the kid's forehead lovingly.

What Arnav did not know was that Khushi had woken up hearing Arushi cry. She was about to enter Arushi's room when she heard Arnav talking to the child and she stilled as she realised that Arnav was narrating their story to Arushi. As she heard the story from his point of view, she smiled softly at some points and at some points she cried too. But as she heard the way she got her job, she started getting angry. She was fuming by the time Arnav decided to get out of the room. She hid in the nearby room as Arnav got out and went for his jogging. After few minutes, she got out of the room and entered Arushi's room.

As soon as she entered Arushi's room she started pacing to and fro in anger. "Hey Devi Maiyya! Kaise insaan hain yeh! Kabhi itne pyaar se raat ko chai laate hain! Toh kabhi College chodte waqt ladte hain! Kabhi humaare sapnon ke liye apne sapnon ki qurbaani dete hain toh kabhi..." She trailed off in anger as she fidgeted with her duppatta.

As Khushi looked at the swaying bassinet, she continued with her rant, "Pata hai Arushi, kabhi dil karta hai tumhaare papa ko hum gale se laga lein toh kabhi lagta hai unka gala hi daba dein! Hum tumhaare papa se isliye naaraaz nahi hain ki unhonein humaare sapnon ko apne pyaar aur parivaar ke aage rakha! Hum toh bas...", she trailed off as she sat on the nearby rocking chair.

"Hum toh bas isliye naaraaz hain kyunki humein laga tha ki Aakash Jijaji ne humein Accountant ki post humaari kaabiliyat ki wajah se diya! Ab pata chala ki sab kuch ek plan ki wajah se hua! Arnavji ke plan ki wajah se hua!", she huffed angrily. "Pata hai Arushi, tumhaare papa ne na humein bahut sataaya! Shaadi ke pehle bhi aur shaadi ke baad bhi, aur yeh sab sirf uss stupid image ke liye! Unke stupid ego ke liye! Saaf saaf seedhe shabdon mein apne ehsaason ko bayaan kardete toh inka kya jaata? Itne games khelne ki kya jaroorat hai? Akdu kahin ke!", Khushi ranted in anger. Then she looked at the swaying bassinet. Yeh Arushi aawaaz kyun nahi kar rahi? Har waqt humaari aawaaz sunte hi hasne lagti hai? Ab kyun nahi has rahi? She got up from the chair and walked over to the bassinet still talking away, "Ab tum soch rahi hogi ki aise Akdu se humein pyaar kaise hua? Woh hua yun ki...", she trailed off as she finally reached the bassinet and noticed Arushi sleeping. She huffed and giggled, "Ab jo hua woh hum tumhein tumhare papa ke Office jaane ke baad bataayenge! Abhi tum soti raho aur hum jaake tayyaar hote hain aur jaake uss Akdu Singh Raizada ke liye naashta banaate hain!"

Khushi stormed off to the kitchen all the while muttering about arrogant guys who preferred to play all types of games instead of simply confessing their love.

THE END

You guys must be so surprised by the sudden epilogue right? But kya karun?

I had planned Dhoom Dhadakka to have Khushi's point of view and Jab Se to have Arnav's point of view. But it was only now I realised that as Khushi was supposed to fall in love during AR to marriage journey.

And for that I would need to write it in Khushi's point of view.

So I broke Jab Se's story into two and put a break here!

The next story will have Khushi's point of view and her falling in love with Arnav and how they get married!

So from now on, this series has five stories!

First was Dhoom Dhadakka

Second is Jab Se Tere Naina

Third will be Kya Pyaar Karoge Mujhse

Fourth will be Yeh Kya Hogaya (working title)

And finally we will have Band Baaja and Arnav!
