Palak was sleeping peacefully at the centre of the bed while her Chachu and Maasi surrounding her from either sides, patting her gently . Khushi kept her eyes only on Palak while the Chachu was serious in admiring the Maasi tonight. Just a small cry from Palak was enough for her to get worried and do anything to make her baby smile again. His fingers touched hers in the process of patting but the moment she realised it, she withdrew her hand and got down the bed.

Khushi: You should be leaving back to your room Mr Raizada. Its too late.

Arnav got up from the bed and then instead of taking the way to the door, he came to her turning her around. His arms had an unknown warmth which could melt any girl. He pulled her chin up and their eyes met.

Arnav: Something is bothering you Khushi and I wish to know what it is. Why are you hiding from me all the time these days? Dont you like when I be around you and Palak?

Khushi: No I dont.

She moved back giving him a soft push.

Khushi: I dont like to claim your time and presence which actually belongs to someone else Mr Raizada. You got Lavanyaji in this house so that it will be easier for her to get used to her responsibilities after marriage. So according to me, she deserves your attention and time Mr Raizada, not me.
