Chapter 11

Loud Music. A huge crowd including shirtless men and bikini ladies and loads of fun. That precisely described the beach parties of Goa and that's what they seem to be enjoying now.

Rey swayed his body a little near the bar while having a drink in his hand. Taani who stood beside her was doing the same except the drinks part. Well, the after effects of drink were well known to rey and he was quite reluctant to face them right now. Therefore, taani replaced drinks with Fruit juice.

Swayam relaxed on sun lounger while taking a sunbath. Sharon who was right on his side, glared at every girl who passed them and stared at her gloriously half naked husband. The magazine in her hand burn under the Sun craving for attention.

"Swayam!!" Sharon shouted making him jerk out of his short nap. He looked at her confused and quite dazed in sleep. "Why don't you wear a shirt?!"

"What?! Sharon, we are on a beach and I'm taking Sunbath.." He said the obvious.

"I don't care..wear a shirt and then take a sunbath. Every girl passing us is ogling you like you're some piece of a cake!" Swayam looked at her surprised. She looked angry, flustered, frustrated and baffled. It hit him the exact moment. Oh..the pregnancy hormones.. He shrugged his head and stood from his lounger. Sharon turned her head as soon as she found some movement from the corner of her eye.

"C'mon! Lets go!" He extended his hand smiling at his 'cute-sexy-hormone raging' wife.

"Where?!"

"Just come.." He took her hand pulling her softly on her feet. She kept looking at him confused. Tugging his hand in hers, he took her in a direction opposite to the party.

"Where are we going?!"

"For jet skiing.." He smiled and instantly she reflected back.

"What a sudden change..huh?! Just a few minutes ago, you wanted to relax and now you want to go on a ride.."

"That's because you initiated. Those girls can ogle but only you can touch!" He winked at her making her flush crimson red. Oh yeah! The most acknowledged truth.

"Now, hold me tight!!" He said as they both sat on the jet ski, swayam driving and sharon behind, both wearing life jackets. She obliged holding him tightly letting all the girls see. Yes ofcourse! See now!! He's all mine!! She mentally shouted while beaming a smile as the ride started. Staring at the two from a distance, taani and rey smiled as well.

"Looks like, its working.." Taani said looking at the love birds as swayam did his stunts in the water maintaining sharon's safety.

"Told you!" Rey sounded confident. "By the end of this holiday, they'll be back on track.." He sipped his drink.

"Hope so..I just want they say yes to the baby." Taani gave a hopeful smile.

"And why is that?!" Rey raised his eyebrow.

"Because they both need to start a family now. A baby will bring maturity in them."

"What an illogical explanation!" Rey shrugged his head. "It could distance them as well.." Taani glared at him. It's a war then.

"I know them better than you. They got married at an early age. They are still immature and definitely don't understand the insights of marriage. All they think is that marriage certifies them together but still lifestyle should be like boyfriends-girlfriends have. And now with this baby, everything is changed." She paused for a second. He eyed her curiously. Taani and the seriousness over marriage!Not a good combo!! He shook his head as she continued.

"Baby means responsibility which they don't want to take instead of the fact that they are married. If they aborted this baby, nothing will change but after a while they'll see the results.."

"And what are these results?!" He looked more interested.

"Obviously, they'll not leave this careless attitude and day-to-day fighting with each other. Eventually it'll only grow and ultimately will harm their marriage and then one day they'll come to us saying that they can't take it anymore. Divorce, that's it!" She explained everything like a straight scientific reason and for a moment Rey went all into it.

"So you think, if they'll keep the baby then their marriage will remain intact.." He said as if confirming.

"May be..Baby will bring a sense of responsibility. But at the end of the day its their life and they need to decide." She said almost concluding the topic. He eyed her working on each and every word she said. Marriage...Baby..Responsibility. Seriously?! Where is Taani?? What have you done to her?!

"What is it?!" She snapped getting quite irritated from his stare.

"You." He said. "You seem changed. Not like the taani I know." He kept staring at her while she shrugged his words getting back on her juice.

"Seriosuly taani..Have you talked to your parents recently not letting it come into my notice?!"

"No..I haven't seen from them since weeks.."

"Then, have you started seeing all those RajShri movies?!"

"Rey?!" She glared. Where the hell is he taking all this?

"Taani I'm serious. You sound like those typical mature, boring, single woman looking for their Mr. Perfect. I mean..marriage and all was never your stuff, right?!"

"It wasn't until the conversation we had that day.." She kept her eyes focused in the glass as she sipped in her juice. He was lost in thoughts.

Why on the first place we had that stupid conversation?! He feebly groaned. Everything looks changed after that. He looked at her, still concentrating within her glass. Is she in thoughts?! Or is she ignoring me?! Damn hell!!

"Taani!!" They startled with the sudden voice calling her from behind. Turning around, taani radiated a small smile while Rey instantly stiffen. His jaw tightened and mind started burning. Volcano in the stomach, yet again. What the F*ck?!! Why is he here?

"Hey Rajeev!" She gave him a side hug. Rey eyes burned with pure jealousy. Alright! I get Ignorance and he gets a hug! Not fair!!!

"Thanks for calling me in this party! Maa was quite excited!" He beamed a smile before pointing at his mother who followed wearing 3/4 jeans and a flowery curly top. Her goggles rested over her hairs on his head. Rey almost choked on his drink. Mother!! You must be kidding me!

"Good Evening Mrs. Khurana!" Taani extended her hand covering up the shock to see her dressing. Okay! Overcrazy mother of crazy boss!

"Please! Don't be so formal! Call me Pam.." Mrs. Khurana giggled while Rajeev almost buried his head under his palms. Embarrassment is an understatement. Taani almost stifle her laugh but couldn't control herself in widening her eyes in shock. Rey choked yet again.

"I'll call you Mrs. Khuarana, if you don't mind.." Taani gave an apologetic smile. Pammi pouted before nodding her head in understanding. Taani looked at Rajeev. Quite embarrassed and flushed. He mouthed a sorry while all she could reply was a 'Its OK'. Rey looking at two suddenly felt his stomach tightening. Volcano almost on verge of spilling it all.

Eye to eye talk. Oh shit!! She never did it with anyone. Not even me! He thought. The fear was overwhelming.

"The Road Guy!!!" A shrill came from taani's behind and before anyone can make out anything, a girl pass through taani running straight towards Rey as she gave him the bear hug. He almost choked, this time for a different reason. Taani kept glaring as if she just lost diamond watch on sale.

"Ana.." He whispered unable to believe. Why the hell is she hugging me like this?!

"Um..I forgot your name..Its Re...Rey, right?!" She asked breaking the hug.

"Ya.." Rey exhaled. The hug was literally choking. "What are you doing here?!" Rey asked as he steal a glance at taani. She looked clearly fuming with anger. He mentally smirked at her. Tables are turned, taani! Now have a taste of your own medicine!

"It's a beach party so obviously I am partying.." She widen her eyes stating the obvious.

"Oo Ana!! You're so adorable!" He deliberately pulled her cheeks while glancing frequently at taani. "And chubby too!!" Taani flared with anger. He mentally jumped like a kid. Now that's a hit back in Rey's style.

"Really!!" Ana almost flushed. Her white skin turning crimson red.

"Of course!!" He said aloud to make it sound believable. She turned more red while taani happened to be the same, the only difference being she was in anger.

"Now that I have such a boring company here, will you have a dance with me??" He forwarded his hand towards her.

That's it!! Enough!! Taani shouted in her mind. She stamped her foot before leaving the place marking her displeasure completely. Rajeev looked at Ana who has already given hand to Rey and Rey also went for a dance after giving taani's retreating back one last glance. He exhaled. A situation too difficult to understand. He followed taani.

"One glass of red wine." She told the bar tender at the beach party who quickly obliged. While the young man prepared her drink, she glanced back at the place where Rey danced with Ana. Fitting into music, fitting into each other, they danced like a true couple. True couple?! If they are a true couple, then what the hell am I and him?!

Just his bedtime story.. Her subconscious mocked and a state on which she stood, she couldn't simply ignore. The bar tender forwarded the drink and much to his surprise, she gulped it down in a single sip.

"Another one! Make it strong!!" She ordered and he quickly went on his job. She looked back. Ana completely throwing herself on Rey. Rey seem to be holding her back while she had her arms around his neck. He might be pushing her away but its not that clear under the effect of wine and the distance. Not at all a nice scene to witness. She felt a knife twisting in her heart as suddenly in the mid of loud music, intoxicating wine and an unbearable view, she had her biggest realisation. She destroyed everything. She wanted a relationship with No Strings Attached. She wanted a 'Just Sex No Emotions' thing. Yes he wanted that too. But now she feels different. She feels emotions..the butterflies..the happiness..the solace..the jealousy..that volcano and he...He feels Nothing. And that is the biggest loss.

The waiter gave yet another drink, and she once again astonished him finishing it in one single sip. She almost broke the glass with the intensity she put it back on bar.

"Can I get the bottle?!" She asked as wine started taking over. She felt dizzy.

"Yes, mam." He sound a little hesitant. He forwarded an open bottle.

"Good. Add it to my bill.." She flashed a smile before getting off from the stool behind the table. Her legs stumbled and before anyone could come for support, she balanced herself. Taking the bottle in her hand, she discarded her long heels as she headed towards the secluded area of the beach. The night was about to spread.

Looking for taani, Rajeev suddenly halted in his tracks as he found her a little far away walking out of the party. Her steps fumbled as she tried to balance. It was easy to guess, she was drunk. He shrugged his head and immediately moved towards her.

"Alright Ana!! We had enough dance!" Rey once again tried getting her arms off his neck.

"No!!" She nudged like a small kid. "Its fun! Lets dance!!"

"Ana, try to understand. I need to go." One more try failed as she gripped him tighter. He ultimately sighed. This is of no use. She turned her head upwards to meet his gaze as she find his trials subsided.

"Hey..you really think I'm cute.." She smiled a little dazed. Alcohol effect. He shrugged his head before giving a simple nod.

"wow! Nobody said that to me before. Stay with me..will you?!" Her eyes depicted everything he didn't want to face. Hope. Hope of more. Oh No!! Stuck again!! Me and my stupid luck!!

"Will you stay with me, tonight?!" He almost gasped at her request. He never took it that way. Of course not!! He mentally shouted as shouting on a broken-hearted-alcohol-driven woman is not a good idea.

"Ana, you need rest. Go to your room.." He slowly removed her hands and maybe because of the dizziness, she didn't resisted.

"Ana!!!" Another voice came from his behind as one blonde girl reached them quickly holding her. A few more people followed. Eh?! May be her friends?! He didn't thought more. His eyes glanced at the entire venue. The night has already sprawled with half moon shining in the sky. The party venue lightened up with neon lamps. He could trace swayam and sharon sitting in a corner, may be cuddling. It was too hard to see in the dim light. His eyes searched more. She was no where. His mind suddenly triggered something and instantly his moved once again, this time searching for Rajeev. He was vanished as well. And it was then the whole thing dawned on him. A sudden surge of emotions happened inside as different possibilities came in his mind filling him with anger, concern, fear and what not?! Some emotions known while other he still tried to figure out. But somehow this was not important. He felt a need to find her right now. He need to see if she's ok. He just need to see her. Simple. He ran immediately as he made the final decision. Just got to find her.
