Heyy guys, here is another update. I just wanted to clarify that the wedding is just a backdrop, the main focus on the next couple of chapters will be Randhir, Sanyu, Parth and Manasvi. I just wanted to know if you guys are happy with the wedding acting as a backdrop or would you like me to highlight it? More details in to the customs or rituals? Please let me know!
Part 8::
After a long day of travelling, Randhir, Sanyu, Parth and Manasvi set for sightseeing. Kaustuki was over the phone with Jiggy having an argument. She asked them to go ahead with their plans and that she will catch up in the evening. YOyo didn't have the heart to leave her alone, so he said he will stay back as well.
Manasvi had a little plan for Randhir and Sanyu, she told them that all of them needed to go on a boat ride and see the other side of the village and the scenery. They had all agreed. Her plan was to get Randhir and Sanyu on the special trip which took around two hours to complete. It was a trip around the whole river, food included. She planned to get them alone on the boat so that they can hopefully sort out their differences. She knew the driver of the boat and informed him to call or message her if or when they started to fight or things got a bit out of control. He agreed. Randhir and Sanyu unaware of Manasvi's little plan, got on to the boat. Manasvi told them that she had to talk to the driver for a second and they should go and sit. Five minutes later the boat started moving and Mamasvi wasn't still on it. When they called her, she feigned complete innocence, and pretended that she was upset that she couldn't join them, she also told them that since the tour had started they shouldn't come back for her and just enjoy it and that she would get another boat with Parth.
As soon as she got off the phone, she had realised that she didn't tell Parth about her plan, she also realised that according to her original plan she was supposed to have Yoyo and Kaustuki with her. Since they weren't with her, she realised that she just sat in to boat alone with Parth for two hours and her stomach dropped. Meanwhile, Parth was watching the range of emotions on Manasvi's face. She didn't have to tell him but he knew by the way she sounded on the phone and her secretive smile all along that this was her plan to get Randhir and Sanyu together. He was proud of her infact, she did what none of them could do in two years. He didn't know how the result of her plan for Randhir and Sanyu's lovestory would be, but he certainly hoped that he would see some light on his feelings for her.
Randhir and Sanyu's boat:
They were surprisingly having a great time. Randhir was stoked at the way they were comfortable with each other and were joking with each other. Oh hell! They even teased each other a little bit. They were talking about so many things, and found out so many things. Randhir found out that Sanyu loves coconuts and Sanyu found out that Randhir loves fish and water. He feels at peace in surroundings like these.
Soon their conversation took a serious turn and they didn't even realise how? , but it all started when Sanyu started on about how she loved Manasvi's parents and the fact that she was so close to both of them. Sanyu said she knew what that feeling of being close to your parents affects you as she is very close to her mum. In her rant she didn't realise that Randhir suddenly became very quiet. Sanyu realised what she had said and quickly apologised. She was getting really guilty about what she was talking about as Randhir didn't say a word even after she apologised. But in a flash on a moment he put his hand on hers and said that it's ok. He knew that she didn't mean to say it and that she wasn't the sort of person that would intentionally hurt a person.
Sanyu was shocked by his honesty. She thought she ruined the whole trip as she expected Randhir to be super quiet after that. What shocked her even more was that he started telling her about his family. He did ask her if she minded, and she completely said that she didn't mind at all and that he would feel much better if let the words off his heart. He finally started his childhood story, words that he never thought would tell someone. He said that the only memories he was made to remember of his mum were when she ignored him or picked her career over him. But it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago when he overheard his parents fighting about something and his mum accusing his dad of brainwashing him about all the good things that she did. She said that the only reason Randhir never loved her is because of all the lies Harsh had told him about her. Randhir was telling Sanyu about how his mum had attended every parent teacher meeting but he was never told about it and how the only reason she moved out and involved herself in her work was because Randhir's dad was having an affair. And she was scared for her and Randhir's safety if she took him with her as his father had a drinking problem.
Sanyu did what any sane person would do at that moment. She gave him a hug. The tightest hug she could give. And Randhir just broke down in her embrace. He just cried and cried and Sanyu was whispering and cooing to him that it was ok. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, he slowly let go and looked away. He apologised for ruining the mood for the trip. She took his face in her hands and told him that he need not have to apologise and that he was one of the strongest people she knew. And that sometimes it's completely fine to breakdown. With that she smiled and let him go. After that intense conversation, they continued their beautiful trip. Neither did they say a word or let go of each other's hand.
Parth and Manasvi's boat:
It was a little awkward for Manasvi and Parth to be travelling by themselves in the beginning as they just got over a fight but, slowly with a little persistent effort from Parth. Manasvi got talking and as you all know, when that girl starts her ramble there ain't no end to it. Parth was loving it. They started to talk about everything from movies to books to college and finally family.
Parth didn't understand why she had gotten so quiet when he asked he why she moved to FITE. She began telling her story with a very slow voice and almost teary eyes. Manasvi was a great student at the CIBT institute in Bangalore, she had some great friends and an amazing house to go back to. Her little perfect niche was disrupted the night they all went on their annual college trip to the local festival. Everyone was having fun. Soon this guy approached her, his name was Rohit.he had told her that he fell in love since he saw her at the freshers party. Manasvi was a bit taken back, she was never in that kind of a situation before. She politely told the guy that she admires the fact that he had the courage to come tell her about his feelings but she was just in first year and her only priority right now was concentrating on her studies. She wanted to top her year and get extremely good results and make her parents proud. She informed him that she wasn't ready to be in a relationship yet as she doesn't have the time for it and that a relationship to her means a lot.
Rohit told her he understood her situation and asked her if they could be friends. T that she had happily agreed to, and they had become quite nice friends. She would call it a close friendship but he was a nice guy. There wasn't anything wrong with him. He wasn't just the right guy for her. Everything was fine until the year end when he had approached her again and this time with a more forceful proposal. He began telling her that she had used him for all this time with the pretence that they would be in a relationship. Manasvi had tried telling him that she was clear on her stand since the beginning. He left angrily. Since that day, he began threatening her that he would cut his wrists and spread rumours about them and what not. Manasvi was just extremely against that behaviour as she didn't want to give in to his cheap tricks. She knew that she wasn't wrong in any way and didn't have to be afraid of anything. A few days past and she actually didn't see him until one day, her friend Riya had told her that Rohit was admitted in the hospital as he cut his wrist.
Manasvi who had told her parents all along about this incident, quickly informed them and rushed to the said hospital. She saw her friends and Rohit's parents waiting outside the ER! Someone quickly whispered something to Rohit's mum and she dashed at Manasvi accusing her of all these things. Manasvi tried to explain herself and told her that she was innocent in all of this. When she went to college the next day none of her "friends" were talking to her. They all thought she was responsible for Rohit's plight. She couldn't believe not a single one of her supposed friends believed her. She felt betrayed, and when Rohit was conscious. He was questioned on what happened and thankful to god he told them the truth. Rohit's parents were ashamed of his behaviour and wanted to apologise to Manasvi. Rohit had to undergo therapy for his stunt. After two weeks on the final day of first year, when the results were to be announced. He met Manasvi and wanted to apologise, he fake friends also put up this innocent front saying that they believed her all along but just weren't strong enough to support her.
With once glance at the people around her, Manasvi realised that these weren't the type of people she wanted to spend her most important years of education at. With another glance at the result sheet, which read 1st Rank : Manasvi Ramachandran and clutching two papers in her hand she walked to the office without as much sparing a glance at Rohit or those back biting friends that she had. She went to the office to show her dean her transfer letter and her letter of admission into FITE. Neither did she ever think about that incident or look back at her gullible nature after that.
With a shaky voice that had a little pride in it and teary eyes. She finished her story and forceibly let out a smile, only to be enveloped into a bear hug by Parth. Before, commending her on her strong will or ambition. He apologised profusely for what he did. He realised why she was so upset at him when he had yelled at and why she always had her head down when she was around him after that until the party. It was because she was re living that betrayal and pain all over again. Parth promised himself that day that he wouldn't ever let her go through any other emotion apart from the happiness that she truly deserves. He wanted to just never let her. She was too precious.
The trip was slowly coming to an end. One pair were enjoying the sunset in silence holding each other's hands where as the other pain were enjoying it by laughing their hearts and leaning into each other.
