Hello NB,
I've been following this story for a while now but I didn't get the chance to comment earlier. I am actually a bit shocked that this is the final chapter of Book I. I didn't expect you to wrap it up today and I wish I had commented earlier because this story deserves a comment for every single chapter.

Anyway, hats off to you writing a story with such flawed and realistic characters. It must have been very difficult to write, because as a writer you get attached to the characters and you constantly want to redeem them or lessen their pain.

This is an outstanding piece of work and one of the best Arhi FFs I've read till date.👏 I was completely hooked from the start till the end and not once did I feel like I was reading a story.👏

The ending was completely unexpected, but life is not a bed of roses...and it's not really 'the end' because you're coming up with Book II. But even as a standalone story, the ending makes sense because sometimes, things just don't work out. People make mistakes, they get hurt or end up hurting others.

Khushi and Arnav are perfect examples of what happens when people go against their own philosophies. Khushi never fully understood or agreed with Arnav's way of life and yet she decided to get into a serious relationship with him, hoping he would change his mind someday. Arnav should have stuck to his beliefs instead of giving his half hearted consent for marriage.

But I am feeling very sad for Khushi. In a way it was better for Arnav to call off the wedding because with all his commitment issues, it probably wouldn't have worked out...just wish he realized it earlier. It's bad enough to go through a broken engagement once...to go through it twice must be painful beyond belief.

Garima and Devyani screwed up big time. Their intentions were good but they never should have meddled...and they made it far worse by hiding the truth from them. These two ladies have to take half the blame for what happened. if Arnav and Khushi knew the truth, this whole situation could have been avoided.

Thank you so much for writing CD. It was a pleasure reading it.

Hope to read Book II soon.

Brilliant updates. Arnav was a real coward. I can't believe that he just cannot make his relationship permanent and give Khushi a status. He is really a jerk. Khushi doesn't deserve him. I too hate him.
Book 1 is wonderful. Now eagerly waiting for Book 2. I want to read how Khushi has managed. Thanks for this brilliant story. Please send me your blog link. My id is shubhanjlisaxena@yahoo.co.in.
Thanks

Heck, I was kind of prepared for this twist but nothing could have prepared me enough for your brilliantly worded emotions of A & K, for the flawless flow of events - one leading to the other and also for such a remarkably thought provoking representation of reality.

This is one of those situations when you don't know who to blame. I feel sorry for Khushi's parents who probably will never dare to dream of her daughter's happiness ever again. Garima might be thinking that she made the biggest mistake of her life by forcing Khushi to make a hurried decision. I feel sorry for Anjali who probably will accuse herself for the broken wedding. I feel sorry for Arnav's family - especially his grand mom - who repeatedly tried to inculcate social norms and values into Arnav. I feel terribly sorry for Arnav for having to go through this turmoil. I am quite sure he might be hurting more than Khushi because by nature he wouldn't share his pain with anyone. Lastly, I feel extremely sorry for Khushi for this horrible phase in her life the memories of which will remain with her through her last breath.

I feel terribly shattered now, even though I tried convincing myself multiple times that this is just a story. As heart broken as I am right now, I can't stop to wonder how superbly talented you are NB. If there were Oscars for writing category, you would surely emerge as a winner. CD is a very unique story. The ending is not what is usually expected of an ARSHI FF. I can't tell you how proud I am of you for taking this huge risk and yet walking away with SO many accolades. I don't know if I would have preferred a happy ending. I just know that CD had a HUGE impact on me and I got so immersed in the story that I forgot that it is indeed a story. I believe that is the best compliment you as an author can ever get.

I am sad that CD I has come to an end. I didn't expect it to end so quickly. I will be looking forward to CD II. Please please let me know when you post it on your blog. I am above 30 and hope to qualify for reading CD II :) Can't wait.

Endless power to your writing,
Akshu.

Arnav did the right thing in calling off the wedding if not he wouldn't have done justice to his married life with Khushi...but it's heartbreaking for both of them too...
