I guess Shashi's and Garima's reaction was expected . Any parent would react in this manner even if they directly heard from their own kid . What magnified the situation is getting the second hand information . It destroyed their trust . It is not accepted in our culture especially when there is no end game . Khushi's reaction on breaking up while made sense, but to some extent I didn't expect it . She entered into this relationship , she knew what her parents would think . She had an opportunity to disclose it but decided to procrastinate it . While Arnav was self centered , I think to some extent Khushi should have anticipated her parents expectations .

I won't say anything on abortion as it is their decision , right or wrong, they / she has to live with it .

This was what I was thinking too when I said I hoped she chose to carry the baby.. I was hoping somehow her parents forgive her and they all move to Mumbai where people are in such rush themselves to worry about others personal lives. Abroad would be even better :) I wouldn't expect this in Lucknow or even Delhi for that matter where other people are privy to her personal life and could make their life hell..

She is educated and already working so getting a Job in Mumbai would be easy. Now regarding social stigma, they can always say baby's father died which is in a way true, he is as good as dead for them!!

All this is possible only if her parents come around for her and keen on keeping the baby and of course Payal & Akash's support. We already know Khushi wanted to keep the baby.

This FF has made me restless.. I'm breathing CD & trying to think of various ways to salvage the situation, while doing that, I can't wait to find what NB has planned!! :)

NB, how many more updates are left on book 1?

When is Book 2 going to start? Will it be on IF??

Please please have mercy & give us the next update? 😳

No Offense but I don't agree with Kushi fleeing out of town or country. Why she has to leave everything for baby whereas Arnav may be happily sleeping around with no strings attached relationships. What kind of justice is this? Why Kushi has to compromise on everything while the other person gets everything is his way. She is educated, financially stable and not that naive. She can make her choice to keep or not to keep baby and move on and later may find a better person who stands for her. May be Arnav's family will support her and help to raise the baby. I think it will be good if Arnav shifts to another country :).

And threat of being disowned by her family is something that would push her to do so. Im sorry if that wasn't clear.

I also thought it was a knee-jerk reaction from her parents out of shock and evenutally will come around for her..they took society's name but such relationship is also not acceptible for them personally, so I dont think they are putting society above their only child. Even if they temporarily disown her, its due to their own beliefs and may not be for society. It is natural for them to take time to come to terms with the news and amend things with their daughter. Afterall Khushi is been lying to them for months and they came to know about this from an outsider, they feel betrayed.

I strongly feel Shashi will come around first and will convince Garima too!!

My close relative eloped and married inter caste in a temple with none of her relatives present. Her parents were furious and disowned her for couple of years. Eventually you reach a point where nothing matters (society, beliefs, morals) but the loved ones, so they have come around and now all maintain a cordial relationship..

But Khushi here doesn't have the time factor in her favor..

I only thought it was best for her to move for her peace of mind and her parents if she were to keep the baby. There is no way in hell this is possible in Lucknow and Delhi too where they have acquiantances. One might think she doesn't care for society or other gossip mongers but eventually it will affect her or atleast her parents. Also since Khushi is the one who loved Arnav, it affects her deeply to see him around with other women. At this point I dont care what Arnav does, where he lives but I want Khushi to lead a peaceful life. I do not think she is making a compromise by moving to Mumbai or any other Metro city where she could be free of prying people. Its not a question of justice but trying to do best in the situation as you are trying to outsmart a society where women are frowned upon for having a pre-marital relationship or for having a baby out of wed-lock.

There is also a secret yearning here for me for Khushi to avenge Aranv. Down the line, I want him to meet Khushi again with a child (supposedly his) married to a loving partner and leading a blissful life with a successful career whereas he hopping from women to women, drowning in alcohol and who knows afflicted with HIV or STD!!

I could not study so here I am again ...
Have you read Pandora Box by Manchy, I know the FF does not exist on IF anymore but you just made me thought of it today again. There is time where Khushi move back to Pakistan , her journey to Pak was heartbreaking. She had no one :( the way she left. ( arnav being really angry with her , he had hurt ed her . ) It still makes me cry . Later when arnav take her back to their house and got house of her liking and stuff . She could not love him like before (giving all in love) . She had said something along the lines " I wish I could love you like before I have seen so much, things I cannot unsee for me to go back to limiting my life to you."
I am pretty sure you are thinking why I am telling you . I just had to share my thoughts with someone . I still have done justice what I am thinking .
sorry :(

OMG!!!! My heart breaking for both of them...while reading the last 4 chapters I was literally holding my breath...what next is coming... I thought he will gave a chance to their relation and even hope he will stand up for her when her parents were yelling at her...why can't he understands Khushi and her feelings...he said he loves her, and why can't he understand he is not losing anything...he should understand people will only point out Khushi and her family...he will be nowhere in the picture...but dear Khushi he never gave her any hopes about marriage and kids...he has always been clear about that matter...it was she and his family had a hope that he will change his decision...it was she who never come clean with her parents about their relation...his side of people are very much aware of their relation. Khushi knew it very well that her parents are going to react when they will come to know about their relation...and I don't mind, they acted like any parents in their situation...thank god they don't know about the child...I really feel sorry for Khushi as she still have a last minute hope on him. So Khushi is going to abort the child...I don't know how to react, being a mom I can't say anything...things can't be worse than this...I feeling really bad for both of them...I hope miracle will happen between their relation... waiting for more to come... Just brilliant update...
