Praising Janhvi for her great choice in movies
Songs on All Tranportation
Few days passed and Arnav was healing quite well. One early morning, a girl in her early twenties, rang the bell of RM and entered the house after greeting Arnav's mom with a pleasant hug and warm smile. She sat on the couch, chatting with the family members but her facial expressions changed as soon as she spotted the young raizada making his way down the stairs with the help of Shyam bhai. Her expressions showed her dislike towards THE great ASR clearly.
Arnav wasn't less even...if she could twitch her nose indicating her disgust, he stuck out his tongue, glaring at her mockingly...Taking resolute steps, he comfortably settled himself on the sofa spreading his hands wide, gripping the armrest, just how a lion provokes its prey into his territory... Shweta fumed, flaring her nostrils and looked away, concentrating on what her anju bhabhi was talking about...
"you know Shwetu...usdin hasaa hasaakar meri toh almost jaan hi nikaal di thi usne (that day, I almost died laughing so much on her descriptions)...oh god!!...even the slightest of the memories of that incident is enough to trigger my laughter...hahahahahaha...is it really true, was that patient really sooo funny..." Anjali spoke to Shweta giving a broad smile in between.
"haan bhabhi...voh patient naa, adha psycho tha( that patient was half pshycho)...so stupid of me to think that I can share my chutkule's of the hospital, here...that idiotic friend cum sister of mine being the biggest chatterbox must have split it out in a much more dramatic way isn't it?" Shweta responded back equally warmly with a slight shake of her head.
"aahm...ahhm...aaj ke zamaane me (in today's world) no one could be trusted isn't it maa??... " Arnav's sudden interruption got everyone's instant attention and they listened to him attentively thinking he has something very important to say...
Sensing their gazes especially the one's he was aiming for, arnav continued, relaxing back in his seat,
"Are, I mean just look at the consequences, how proudly some overly smart people claim their love for their buddies almost redefining the terminology, do jism aur ek jaan... But behind the back, those very same people are found bitching...tsk tsk...so sad haina...?"
Everyone who were so keenly listening to his every syllable at the end of his fokat-ka-gyaan (free knowledge) could do nothing than a mere shaking of their heads and cursing themselves for taking him so seriously when he could do nothing but sarcasm whenever and wherever khushi's dearest friend was found in his vicinity...so after controlling their bubbled up laughter with maximal difficulty, the family members waited for the drama to unfold further...
Shweta saw complete red at his remark and snorting at him, replied back "well, the one who specialize in anti-humanology shouldn't be saying like that..."
"anti-humanology?????? Whats that...?" questioned Shyam also, taking an interest in the convo keeping his newspaper aside. No time for wife- agreed but who in his right senses would miss the amazing verbal tussle, better known as WAR OF THE WORDS!!
"oho shyam bhai...samajhne waale toh samajh gaye hai...(oho shyam bhai, those who were meant to be told, had already understood)" Shweta smirked back at the boiling guy reclining on the opposite sofa..
"whatever !!!!! I am going..." Arnav needed no second invitation...he immediately got his cue and decided it's enough dosage for today and was about to make a move outside the door when Shweta's voice reached upto him making him halt right then and there.
"hey, hey, hey stop Mr. Raizada...(when she found him still, she approached him quick steps ) you shouldn't mind me talking about MY best friend Mr. raizada...and for your kind information, I wasn't bitching about her...this is her very own family and we were just relishing some old fond memories... so you..shoudnt be..."
Shweta would have said more but could not continue as a highy pissed off arnav stopped her rattle midway, "enough!!...kitne baar kaha hai (how many times have I said), Khushi is MY bestie, not yours, get that in your thick head ok?...you always come secondary in her life..."
"aur maine bhi kitne baar kaha hai... (and I had also said so many times that...) "
"uffo...chote, shwetu...stop it both of you...jab milte ho baccho ki tarah ladaaiyaa karte ho aur who sirf ek topic par-khushi.meri.best.freind.hai...hadd hai baba... (whenever you guys meet, the only thing you do is fight with each other and that too only on one single topic - Khushi is MY best friend)...you should know it very well that both of you hold equal importance in her life...YOU BOTH are her bestest of all friends..." Anjali who was listening to their conversation decided to interrupt them and sort out their matter though she very well knew that none of her words were to penetrate their copious hot-headed skulls.
Ever since that cursed/regretted/eventful DAY, their WAR OF WORDS had become a prominent part of the Raziada's daily routine (unless shwetu decides to visit her parents who were settled in London for business purposes and Arnav could give his tongue some much needed rest for the time being, preparing new and better strategies for the future tussles while other Raizada's would finally breathe in relief)
Shweta met with Khushi in their "diaper-days" (primary school) and from the first day, both of them had hit it off together really well...they knew that they have found a very good friend in each other and were determined to have their friendship strengthening over passing time. While Shweta loved Khushi's bubbly personality and her innocence, Khushi liked Shweta's caring and daring nature...both of them rocked their school days in each other's company becoming the favourite and most loved duo of their teachers.
All was well until high school. Khushi and Shweta, although being very close to one another, had confined their friendship in the school-premises only. Khushi had perfectly managed her timings and preferences till then...Arnav being the senior, never got the chance to get acquainted with Shweta. But then came the high school with additional responsibilities and more burden related to assignments, projects, seminars etc etc.
So the two girls started visiting each other's house frequently as the school-timings weren't enough to complete all the pending jobs. This is how, Shweta met Khushi's family. Knowing very well that her friend had lost her parents at a tender age...Shweta had also supported her during those hard times just like a true friend. As a result, now she could claim to know Khushi inside out.
Then one day, the most disastrous of all things, happened. Until now, Arnav had shrugged off the presence of a new girl, Khushi's classmate to be more precise taking in her presence in khushi's life very casually, dusting the matter off like a dirt never bothering to think and comprehend the dangers of having a competitor for claiming their rights on our bestie... He always thought the new girl here to finish off with her project work aur woh bas apne kaam se kaam rakhegi...(and she would limit herself with her works)
But then, God surely had different plans...firstly, that day wasn't an ordinary one...it was FREINDSHIP day. A day to cherish the beautiful bond of friendship, to share the deepest secrets with our bestie's and to have laods of fun.
And secondly (As always) Arnav was the first person to tie the friendship band on Khushi's wrist and shower her with gifts exactly at noon and vice-versa. But the next day till the time he freshened up and came down, he found the same new girl is in HIS house, tying a band on HIS Khushi.
Khushi too enjoyed the privilege as this was the first time, in all these years that Shweta had personally came to her place unlike every other time when their celebrations were constrained to a class-room party. So she willingly reciprocated the action. Shweta while tying the band noticed, that there already was a beautiful bracelet tied on her delicate wrist and wondered who had wished her first...
"Khushi, I thought that I will be the first one to tie a friendship band on you but looks like someone already had beaten me in this..."
Khushi looked at Arnav and smiled, Arnav winked back at her and sat just beside her. "umm Shweta, Arnav, like every year had wished me first..." Khushi spoke pointing out towards Arnav.
"What?...so he is more special friend to you than me, haan??...but I toh had thought he was just your dad's friend's son ..." Shweta spoke confused.
"Excuse me miss!...I am not just a-dad's-friend's-son for her...but also HER BESTIE...as in, the bestest of all friend...I hope your confusion gets cleared now..." Arnav decided to intervene in between and talked to Shweta for the first time.
"What!!!!!!!!...no way...This is so not done...ITS ME who is more dearer and best of all friend to Khushi...not you alright? " Shweta was stunned with the new revelation...according to her a guy and a girl can never be best friends...becoz some time later, atleast one among them is sure to fall for his/her bff.
"Guys...guys...guys...incase it dint clicked both of you, I am still HEREEE..." Khushi spoke stretching the word "here" and trying to speak in between smiling slightly watching them fight for her but none among her SO CALLED bff's paid any heed to her...(how mean!!)
"Oh really!!!...who gave you the wrong impression??" Arnav questioned raising his eyebrows. He was so enjoying this convo...it would be a delight to crash the hopes of this girl...hehehe...
"I know Khushi since our diaper-days mister...and if your maths isn't so weak, you can count the number of years, both of us had known each other...so obviously I am the one who is the most closest to her..." Shweta replied confidently.
"well firstly, my maths isn't weak and secondly, to sharpen your memories if you have forgotten...I have been living with her since the time, she left her original house...when her paren..." Arnav stopped in between when he caught the glimpse of unhappiness in Khushi's eyes. He mentally cursed himself and was about to console her when she excused herself and ran away trying hard to control her tears.
"you fool...see what you have done...you made her cry...what was the need to remind her of those bad memories?...cant you let it go?...bade aaye khud ko uska bestie kehne waale (how dare he call himself her bestie)...hymmphh..." Shweta fumingly muttered and cursing him all the way made her way to Khushi's room, where she had, as always locked herself inside.
Shweta tried to knock, bang, scream, push and shout...in short any sort of thing to force her open the door, but failed miserably ... badi maa listening to the loud bangings on the door, came out of the kitchen dusting off her hands. Shyam had gone to college and bade-Papa to his office.
(Anjali ka toh no chance, shyam ki tab shaadi nahi hui thi naa...đđ )
Both of them tried in vain but khushi was having none of it... at last, fed up off all the trial and efforts, badi maa consoled a worried shweta saying,
"Let it be beta, when this girl gets angry...uske room ke saamne haathi bhi katthak karega naa, toh bhi uspar asar nahi hone waalaa (even if an elephant perform katthak at her door step, she wont pay any heed)... Use to bas chote... I mean Arnav samjha sakta hai (only chote... I mean arnav can make her understand)...also no one except him can force her to come out..."
This was it, badi maa finished praising the bond between them and here Shweta's determination crossed new heights, she was all set to break this record or we can say customary ritual for once and all...after all this was a golden opportunity to prove it to that akdu (arrogant), that Khushi is HER best friend not his.
On the other end, Arnav's anger had reached its peak when Shweta accused him for being reason khushi cried...he admit, he was the culprit and he knew very well, how to make it upto his bestie...but some random girl, making him realize his mistake was so not done. How dare she?
But he brushed away those thoughts concentrating on the most important mission that lay ahead. He marched upto his bestie's room and stood beside that new girl, who was talking nonstop, trying really very hard to extract a response from his crying sweetheart.
Arnav glared at her for a few seconds but later on smirked as he realized that she wasn't able to succeed. Badi-maa had long left them alone, knowing very well that Arnav was capable of solving each and every concern that related with khushi.
"tsk tsk tsk...failed mohotarmaa (madam),...now you just wait and watch ..." saying this Arnav started banging on the door ever so loudly making a crying Khushi jump from her bed as the realization dawned upon her in full spirits...her bestie was finally here!!
"Khushi open this damn door, this very second or else I am gonna break it..." Arnav screamed from the other side of the door.
" A mere 12th standard boy is claiming to break the door...huh!!...dialogue to suno, nawaab sahaab ke...(just listen to the dialogues of this Lukhnowi prince)" Shweta muttered making sure that he listened to what she said.
Arnav was hell angry now, he was about to give her a much needed piece of his mind when the door opened and Khushi came out after arranging her disordered state. Arnav was about to hug her when She smiled at both of them and mouthed "I am fine".
Without giving them a moment to comprehend she walked back downstairs making them follow her like a bunch of newly born chickens following mother hen.
"Khushi, he is such a jerk...how can you be with him ??" Shweta complained to her after experiencing a full blown defeat from the Mightly ASR..
"Khushi , just ask her to shut up...this stupid girl don't know when to talk and what...kuch bhi non sense bakti rehti hai (she just keep on chattering non sense)" Arnav gave Shweta a deadly glare which was successful to some extent...
But she recovered soon and replied, " oh accha, just some time ago, someone had spoken non sense, forcing his self -declared Bestie to cry...haina ?? (isnt it?)"
Before Arnav could respond , Khushi interrupted both of them, "oho...stop it both of you...bas ab bohot ho gaya naa (its enough now)...even kinder-garden kids fight better than you...(she took a deep breath and taking a look at their resolute faces and murderous glares reserved for one another, she sighed, continuing)...listen to me now...both of you are very very very special to me and are my bestest of all friends... no matter what happens, my friendship with you guys is never going to alter...ok?...now we are getting late for the school and Arnav, you too have your tution classes right?...so lets finish up our breakfast...chalo chalo (come on)...stop with this silly and fights and let us get going..." with that she dragged both of them to the dining table, thinking that the matter had gotten under her control atleast for the time being.
"Khushi, you gave that stupid new girl, a status equal to mine, haa?...alright, udne do us stupid ko (let that little birdie fly freely for few days)... this isn't over yet...I am gonna show her who is more special to you in the upcoming days..." Arnav spoke in his mind.
"Khushi, you consider me and that jerk to be equally special to you,...no way yaar...in the upcoming days, I am gonna prove it that I am more special and deserving..." Shweta talked with herself.
So this was the first time, Khushi had said , " both of you are very very very special to me and bestest friend of all..." if she had even the slightest idea about the number of times, she would be forced to utter this very dialogue again and again, still with no success as the two competitor would be hell bent on succeeding over the other, Khushi would have done anything in her reach to avoid their clash that is them meeting each other for the very first time.
"hey devi maiyaa...kahaan phas gayi mai?? (oh lord, where am I struck?? )" An exhausted Khushi had spoken a million times, till date while watching the free show of her bestie and bff fighting over her.
lots of love,
