Part 34:

The dawn arose but still Rey and Kriya were sleeping. Yesterday's night definitely changed the things for them. They're more comfortable with each other. Like usual, they were sleeping in each others arms. But before yesterday night, it was a plain coincident. But yesterday night, Rey himself pulled her in to his arms, snuggling against her. This actually amused her. Nevertheless she loved it. The sun rays shone upon them but none of them got disturbed. Kriya's face was pressed in his chest and he was facing the opposite direction of the sun. The clock struck 8 in the morning and this surprised everyone downstairs, 'cause usually Kirya would be pacing to and fro helping in completing the chores. It's almost half past eight and still no trace of Rey and Kriya.

"Dadi, why did mommy not wake me up?" Kaira asked rubbing her eyes with one hand and holding a teddy bear in the other hand.

"I don't know honey. Let's go and check upon them." Saying this both of them proceeded upstairs followed by Dadi bua who, like others was surprised and confused. When they reached Rey's bedroom, the sight in front made them giggle. Not only Rey and Kriya were snuggled against each other but also their legs were tangled. Kaira couldn't control herself and burst out giggling. Even Preeti joined her whereas Dadi Bua made a face of disgust. The sounds of laughter broke Kriya's sleep. Laying in that position, her eyes searched the roots of the noise. Her eyes widened with shock on seeing Kaira, Preeti and Dadi Bua there. She tried getting up but failed miserably due to Rey's weight.

"Kriya lemme sleep." Rey mumbled and drifted back to sleep.

"Rey...wake up..." She said shaking him. After her 2-3 attempts he woke up.

"Go...Good morning." He said with an embarrassed expression.

"So finally you two sleepy heads are awake. Do you even realize what time it is?" Preeti said in a stern voice. Kriya looked at the alarm clock placed on the table and her eye widened with horror.

"Omg, how could I sleep for so long. Kaira what are you doing here, get to the bathroom else you'll be late. And.." kaira interrupted her mother's rambling.

"Mommy relax. I have a holiday today."

"Ohh..."


"I guess we should leave you two alone. Get ready and meet us downstairs. And Kriya don't bother I'll get Kaira ready." Preeti said. Dadi bua was the last to leave. She gave Kriya a disgusted look and left. Kriya frowned at this but then soon put her frowned expression aside.

"Kriya I'm going to have bath first."

"No, I will go first. I have a lot of work to do."

"But Kriya I have a meeting to attend."

"You have to attend only a meeting but I have to complete a few house chores and then assist you for the meeting. And so, I'm going to have bath first and that's final." She said in an authoritative tone. At first he was amused by this tone of hers but then smiled at it.

"I have an idea." He said with a playful smile.

His smile made her step back. "Wh.what?"

"How about.." He said stepping closer to her. Her breathing hitched. He kept approaching her till she hit the wall. He placed his hands on either sides of her face. "How about we take shower together?" He whispered in a husky tone playing with he hairs. Her eyes widened and her breath got stuck in her throat. She looked at him with innocent and shock filled eyes. In an instant he burst out laughing.

"Oh...go...gosh...lo...Look at your face." He said in between his laughter.

She narrowed her eyes and started hitting him on the chest. "Ouch...Kriya stop." He said trying to stop her but it didn't work on her. At last he caught her hands and pinned them behind her back. She struggled to get out of his grip whereas he smirked at her and enjoyed her struggle.

"You are so weak in front of me...just like a mouse." He said caressing her cheek and let her go. Without another word he turned around and entered the washroom. She stood there dazed, completely in awe. His touch sent goosebumps all over. Shaking her head she tired to get out of her thoughts.

~~~~~2 weeks later~~~~~

"Oh gosh today was such a tiring day. I'm completely exhausted." Kriya muttered to herself while entering the room. It was past ten in the night and Rey was talking on the phone with some client. Kriya was tired and she found a glass containing a transparent liquid. Assuming it as water she drank it. Just at that moment Rey put the phone down and saw Kriya drinking it. Before he could warn her she gulped down the whole liquid. And instantly she stated coughing.

"Ewww...what is this?" She almost yelled whilst making a horrid expression.

"Umm, that's champagne." Rey said slowly.

"Rey you know I hate alcohol."

"I know and sorry, but when I am stressed I drink champagne."

"Next time don't you dare get alcohol in my room. Do you understand?"

"Yes ma'am."

"And why are you stressed?"

"I've already got two meetings tomorrow and an another client wants to conduct meeting tomorrow. I can neither deny it as they are our important clients nor I can accept because of my busy schedule."

"Umm, if you don't mind, I can conduct a meeting on your behalf."

"You sure you can do that?"

"Yeah."

"Thank you so much Kri.. You're the best." He said hugging her tightly.

"Re...Rey I can't breath, leave me."

"Oops, sorry." He gave a sheepish grin.

"I'll be right back." Saying this Kriya entered the washroom to take a shower. As she stepped out of the washroom, Rey's eyes averted towards her. He gulped down the remaining contents of the glass. He checked her out shamelessly. Her damp hairs were also of no help. She lowered her eyes and her gaze fell on the bottle of champagne.

"Have you been drinking?" She asked slowly.

"Only three glasses." He answered. He put the glass back on the table and caught her wrist to pull her towards him. She landed on his lap, completely surprised by this move. He moved her hairs aside and kissed her neck, slowly reaching her nape. She closed her eyes and clutched his shirt tightly. He bit her nape and sucked on it making her moan. It wasn't the first time that they were sharing an intimate moment. The past two weeks changed them a lot. They have become more open with each other and often kissed. He tangled his hand in her hair and turned her towards him to pull her into a kiss. She caught his lower lip between her lips and sucked on it whilst he tried to slip his tongue inside his mouth. After a passionate kiss they pulled. He lay back on the bed such that she was atop him. Sliding sideward she comfortably lay in his arms with her head placed on his chest. He pulled the comforter on them.
