Here's the next update. Sorry for the delay.
Part 25:
A tiring week had passed and it was Sunday. It was 9am and Kriya was still sleeping peacefully with Kaira snuggled against her. Rey quitely clicked a picture of them and went downstairs to join the rest for breakfast.
"Rey where are Kriya and Kaira?" Preeti asked.
"Both the mother-daughter are still asleep. They were looking so cute together, I didn't want to disturb them."
"Oh! Let them sleep them." Ranvijay said.
"Kaira ka chalta hai lekin Kriya iss ghar ki bahu hai. Itni der tak sona unko shobha nahi deta. Hum unhe abhi uthate hai." Dadi bua interferred.
The rest of the three gave a helpless look to eachother. Then Rey spoke "Dadi bua aap rehne di jiye mein jaata hu."
"Aap baithiye and naashta kijiye rey, hum jaate hai."
Rey silently followed dadi bua. As dadi bua was about to wake her up Ret felt an urge to stop her. He didn't want to disturb this duo of mother-daughter. They looked so serene together. Kaira resembled a few features of Kriya. It seemed as if Kriya had given birth to Kaira and not Payal.
"Payal...after so many days I actually remembered her. I'm so sorry love for not having talked to you in all these days. But even after many days your name brings the same smile like it did previously. I miss you." He contemplated with a smile. But his chain of thoughts were broken by the scenario going on infront.
"Kriya uthiye." Dadi bua almost yelled. On hearing a loud voice both Kaira and Kriya woke up with a jolt. Kriya was still in her night gown.
"Dadi bua aap!" Kriya exclaimed.
"Ha hum. Kyu hum nahi aa sakte? Hum aapko kitni baar bataye ki aap iss ghar ki bahu hai aur ek bahu ki tarah rahiye. Aapka pati apse pehle uth kar naashta karne aa gaya hai aur aap abhi tak so rahi hai. Jaiye jaldi taiyaar hoke neeche aayiye."
"Sorry." She said. Once dadi bua left, Kriya spoke.
"It's all your fault Rey. You should have woke me up."
"How it is my fault? You were looking cute while sleeping so I didn't want to disturb you." He replied staring at her.
Kriya stayed quite for a few minutes trying to avoid his sight. "I'll go get ready."
Rey called a maid and asked her to get Kaira ready. Meanwhile Rey stood in front of Payal's photo and spoke.
"You know Payal, Kriya is very sweet, just like you. Within a short span of time she got adjusted properly with each one of us. And for Kaira, she means the world. For Kaira she completed the empty space of a mother. For mom and dad she completed the empty space of a daughter and for me she filled in the space of a companion, a friend. She has filled in all the empty spaces of our lives. She's an angel in disguise."
"And what about the incomplete space for love in your heart?" Preeti asked from behind.
"It was never incomplete mom. Payal is always there inside it." He replied smiling.
"No matter how much you deny Rey but one day you will definitely fall in love with Kriya. It is bound to happen. You guys are unaware of the sparks glowing between you but it is evident to all of us." Payal pondered.
"Do you have any work mom?" Rey questioned breaking her contemplations.
"Uh yeah. I came here to inform you that your dad, bua ji and I are going out. We'll be back by noon. And your breakfast is set on the table."
"Okay." Biding bye to Rey, Preeti left. Moments after Preeti's departure from room, Kriya stepped out of the washroom assuming that the room is empty. Rey was busy searching something. As he saw Kriya standing near the bed drapped in a bathrobe he accidentally threw a few files placed on the table gaining Kriya's attention. His mouth was ajar as she shamelessly stared at the beauty in front of him. Water was dripping from her hairs and slided down her face till neck and disappered inside her clevage. Rey gulped at this.
The noise of the files startled Kriya. On finding Rey inside the room, her eyes widened. She tried to get hold of something to cover herself properly with but nothing was within her reach. Her legs wobbled.
"Wh...what...ar...are...y...you doing here?" She asked stammering with a heaved a breath.
"Well, this is my room as well. I can come here at any time."
Kriya didn't have an answer to this. She just looked down. On seeing her feeling uncomfortable Rey picked up the bed sheet and proceeded towards her. His one forward step made her take a step backwards. And so she hit the wall and was trapped between him and the wall. Rey stared at her intensely. His hand crawled on her waist and pulled her towards him with force. With his other hand he wrapped the sheet around her. After staring at her for a few seconds he bent down till her shoulder level and planted a short kiss there. Her breath hitched. Planting a few kisses along her neck he reached her cheek where he planted a long kiss.
"Get ready. I'll be waiting down." Saying this he left leaving her alone who was trying to calm down her senses.
