Part 7- The Plan

It was raining. Antara was running. When Raghu looked behind her, there were four men who were chasing her. And she slipped. She was about to fall on the concrete floor when Raghu caught her. And...

A flashlight brought his sense back. Raghu came out of his hallucination. He looked by his side where the unconscious bride was looking like a sleeping doll. He concentrated on his driving. He was trying to drive fast but the road became too much slippery for the rain.

God, why is it raining tonight?? Please don't let anything happen to her. God, please help me to reach the hospital timely. Her silence is killing me!!! She is completely unconscious. Please God!!!

When Raghu reached at the hospital, it was almost 2.30 am. While driving, he had already informed Avay about everything. Mr and Mrs Sharma, Avay, Dadi and Mr. and Mrs. Malhotra also were on their way. When Raghu was about to pick her up again to get her out of his car, he felt that her body had become cold and his car seat was flooded with her blood. That freaked him out.

He carried her inside the hospital and while he was running in the corridor like a maniac, he discovered that he was actually SHOUTING...

DOCTOR...WHERE IS EVERYONE?? THIS GIRL NEEDS YOUR ATTENTION!!!

Some nurses and stuffs came immediately and took her on stretcher from his arms. Doctors tried to calm down Raghu but his eyes were pinned on her half closed eyes. When they were taking her in Operation Theater, Raghu suddenly felt an urge to hold her. He almost ran to her just before the nurse was about to close the OT door.

Raghu: Hey, can I stay here for some minutes?? Please there is still some time to start the operation. Can I stay here until the doctors come??

Nurse: I am sorry Sir, but I can't allow that.

Raghu: WHY??(He was getting angry)

Nurse: Sir, because you are bleeding and if I let you go close to the patient, you can contaminate the OT and it won't be good for the girl. Sir, please try to understand. We will try our best.

Raghu realized that the nurse was right. He calmed down. Some stuff came from the OT and informed the nurse that the patient was ready for the operation and the doctors were coming within 5 minutes. He gave some stuff wrapped in a cloth to Raghu.

Raghu: What is this??

Nurse: The patient was wearing some heavy jewellery, so we had to remove those things before operation. By the way, what is the relationship between you and the patient?? You have to do the formalities now, so I have to ask that.

Raghu: I am...I am ...her family friend.

Nurse: Ohh. I thought you ...ok leave it. Don't worry. We will do our best and please call the close relatives.

She closed the door.

After doing the formalities, Raghu came to the rest room. He sat on a chair. He called Avay again but the network was so bad because of the rain that he could not reach Avay's phone. He kept the wrapped jewelleries in his pocket and closed his eyes. The entire evening was reviving in his mind. The accident, the train and then...

SAMEER...-That name was haunting him. Why the hell did she call him in that name?? It was her groom's name, right??

Then he felt that someone kept a hand on his shoulder. He looked up and saw Avay's worried face. They hugged and then Avay noticed that Raghu was bleeding. His forearm was completely red by then.

Avay: Come with me!!! You need treatment.

Raghu: No. I am ok. Where is everyone??

Avay: They are coming. The rain caused a big traffic. I and Dadi reached first. Dadi is in front of the OT, she is damn tired, I told her to stay at home but she didn't listen to me. Now come with me. You need some aid. (Raghu opened his mouth to say something)And don't refuse, otherwise I will tell Dadi.

Raghu had no other way but listen to him.

Inside the doctor's chamber:

Raghu's hand had been treated, it was a minor injury. Nothing was broken fortunately. But some stitches were needed. Doctor told him to rest but he didn't listen. With passing time, his mind was becoming restless. God knows what was happening inside the OT. God knows how was she?? He headed outside the chamber.

Avay: Wait, where are you going?? Didn't you listen what the doc said??

Raghu: Trust me Avay, I am absolutely fine. I am doing exactly the thing what will make me calm now.

Raghu stopped in front of the OT. Dadi saw him, came to him and said-Where were you?? Avay said that you saved that girl taking so much risk. What was the need of this?? You know na, that we love you so much.(She was almost going to cry) Why are you so careless?? Don't do that. Do you want to kill me by giving so much tension?? I am old now, I can't take it anymore.

Raghu: Dadi dadi, calm down. I am fine, look??

Dadi(Noticed the bandage): what happened to your hand?? Haan??

Raghu: It's nothing. Just got some cuts from the accident but it's ok now. Don't worry.

Then he turned to the OT door. His entire conscious was fighting to prevent him from going inside, he was damn worried but he couldn't show that to others because that would be weird. He is no one in Antara's life.

Suddenly he heard busy footsteps in the corridor. Antara's parents and Sameer's parents had been arrived. Antara's mom burst in to tears even before reaching the OT door. Dadi hugged and consoled her. Sameer's parents were worried and Mr. Sharma was surprisingly silent.

Raghu came to him.

Raghu: Uncle, is there any news about Sameer?? We will need him when Antara gets her sense back.

D.S: Nahi Beta!!! I don't know what to do, I don't know ...(choked)

Raghu hugged him. The entire situation became so tensed and almost everyone was on the verge of crying there except Avay and Raghu.

Avay: Do you want some coffee??

Raghu: Ya. I badly need it.

Avay: let's go to the caf then...

Raghu: But, if there is anything needed during operation??

Avay: Don't worry. The patient's parents are here. You come with me. We need to talk.

Raghu turned to Mr. Sharma-Uncle, if there is anything urgent, please call me. I will be downstairs in caf.

D.S: Don't worry, son!!! We all are here. You go.

In Cafeteria:

Avay: So, she called you as Sameer before she lost consciousness.

Raghu: Yes, for that reason I think we have to search him. From all these incidents, it's clear that Antara Sharma is a very emotional person, especially about that guy. She drove her car on a rail line breaking the barricades.

Avay: What do you think?? Is it a suicide attempt or just an accident??

Raghu: I don't know but I know definitely that she needs Sameer now. When she wakes up after the operation, the guy must be by her side; otherwise she will do something crazy again. And we can't guard her always.

Avay: So, what is your plan??

Raghu: I have one but I need the help of police for that.

Avay got curious- Bro, what is cooking in your mind??

Raghu took the last sip of his coffee and got up. He said- I need to talk to Antara's parents and also Sameer's.

Avay as usual followed him.

In front of OT:

Mr Sharma was pacing here and there. He was damn worried and Mrs. Sharma was still crying. Mr. Malhotra was talking to the police, he was getting hyper in phone.

Mr. Malhotra: Why the hell do you want to search my house?? I am telling you na, that my son has left my house this afternoon saying that he is going to salon. And after that we are finding his phone switched off.

Raghu: please Uncle, can you please get the phone in loud speaker??

Mr. Malhotra got confused.

Raghu: Trust me!!!

Sameer's father listened to him. The phone was in loud speaker then...

Raghu: Hello Sir, I am Raghuveer Singhaniya. I am a family friend of Mr. Sharma. Can you please tell me, why do you want to search Mr. Malhotra's house??

The police: Mr. Singhaniya!! Because we want to inspect Sameer's things in his room if there is anything missing. If his disappearance was intentional then he will take his most needed things with him but if he is kidnapped or taken, then his things will be untouched.

Mr. Malhotra: OMG!! What are u talking about Inspector?? Kidnapped??(He got panicked)

The police: We have to be sure Mr. Malhotra. I am trying to say you that only, but you are not listening to me. Please give us permission to search your house. It's important.

Raghu: (looked at Sameer's father) Please Uncle!!!

Mr. Malhotra: Ok. You have my permission. Search his room. I am saying to my care taker to let you in.

The police: Thanks Sir. We will keep you updating.

He hanged up.

Suddenly everyone noticed that there was movement in side OT. Everyone stood up.

Raghu: May be the operation is over.

Avay stood by his side.

The door opened. She was brought outside. Lots of nurses and stuffs were running here and there. Some were holding the saline, some were holding her ventilation. Another round of crying session started among her parents. That was a horrible sight.

Her entire head was bandaged. She was unconscious and looking so lifeless. The doctors sent her in ICU.

Mrs. Sharma suddenly fainted. Everyone got busy with her. But Raghu got focused. He and Avay followed the doctors.

Raghu: Doctor, what's the matter?? How is she?? Is she gonna be okay??

Doctor: Mr. Singhaniya, she has lost a lot of blood and there were complications.

Raghu: What complication??

Doctor: You wrote in the form that she met an accident while driving. I think it was an ischemic attack. Blood flow was stopped for some time in her brain and I think she met a mini stroke then. For that reason may be she lost her control while driving.

Raghu: Stroke??? Is she Ok now??

Doctor: Mr. Singhaniya!! There are some consequences. She can suffer from loss of vision, slurred speech problem or mental confusion. There can also be some numbness or paralysis because the blood loss affected her brain hemisphere. Now which problem will show up, we don't know yet. We will get to know when she wakes up. After watching her symptoms, we can only say something surely. Now only thing that we can do is to wait and pray for her.

Raghu: Oh God!!! Loss of vision, paralysis...what are you saying?? She is so young. And if this happens, then will it be permanent??

Doctor: If she is treated well, then No. But the time duration of these abnormalities can't be said now.

Raghu suddenly had a bad feeling about this. He was getting panicked with the passing time, suddenly he heard a voice...

It was Mr. Malhotra. He was in phone.

Mr. Malhotra: What?? His laptop is not there. ...So, what do you think?? He intentionally left house kya??

Raghu turned to Avay.

Raghu: Avay, we have a work to do.

Avay: What??

In hospital corridor:

Raghu: Just think about it. He has his laptop. Sooner or later, he will open it. We don't have the opportunity to trace him by his phone because he had kept it off. So, the only chance is the laptop.

Avay: But, how can we ...

Raghu: Look, if anyone sends an e-mail to him, then he may answer that. The police can trace his IP address and from that, we can find his location.

Avay: Ohh...ok. But what is the guarantee that he will answer that E-mail?? He may just look at it and shut the computer.

Raghu: Think, who is the person in this world right now whose e-mail, he can't just ignore!!!

Avay: ummm...Antara??

Raghu: Exactly. We will hack her account and send an emotional e-mail from there. He will definitely answer that. That's all we need now.

Avay: OMG!! We need the help of police.

Raghu: And we need Antara's e-mail address.

After they explained to the elder members what they are going to do, Raghu and Avay got in to their cars. They also informed police about their plan and the whole team of police became occupied on this matter. After half an hour, a news came that they have already hacked Antara's account.

Raghu: Great!! We are arriving in police station in 15 minutes. Have you planned the content of the e-mail??

The police: No, not yet. We still need some time to arrange all the instruments to trace his IP address, by that time you will be here. Just come fast.

Raghu: All right!!!

Avay: OMG!! I am just thinking about last 12 hours. It was the busiest hours of my whole life.

Raghu was half listening to that. His mind was struggling secretly. While driving, he was thinking...

Sameer will be found by this morning and then they will be together. Their wedding will occur and then Antara will never come to know about me. In fact, what's the need to ask her my silly question when her own life is upside down?? I will be lost from her life. Yes...it's better. She loves someone else...she belongs to someone else. Only some hours have left. After that, this adventure will be over and we will be back to our life. But for now, I have to find Sameer. God Knows what complication is going to happen to her, she will be devastated if any of those symptoms happens to her. She will need Sameer then. I have to find him. I WILL FIND HIM.

Raghu and Avay reached the police station at last.

Raghu was so silent.

Avay: Hey, bro!!! Did you notice that?? THAT'S SO STRANGE.

Raghu: Yes. Now I know the reason why she called me as Sameer. His voice is exactly like mine and his height too.
