First things first J, after reading the whole chapter all I want to do is this:
You have no idea how touched I am for the dedication and for this chapter in particular! You know what I love about this Fic? Absolutely everything!!!! More than anything else it is your thoughts, the thoughts and messages that you convey through your characters touch my heart! It is like you speak for me and take out all the frustrations that I feel about the society about people's perception via what your characters say!
Take this chapter for instance, you brought forth the very cruel society's disgusting perspective via Sakshi. No matter how liberated the people or the society gets or how much they sympathize with rape victims, none of them want to marry off these victims. What is more appalling is that they label these very victims as tainted. Forget rape victims no matter what happens even between normal married couples, it is quite sad and unfortunate that it is always the girl that gets the blame, even the girls who are abused by their very husbands. And what is more depressing is that majority of the time it is the women that speak badly for the other women. Sakshi here was such a good example of this shockingly appalling mentality that people uphold. The way she approached Khushi, uttering cruel words to her had me all emotional, she didn't even take a minute to consider how her harsh words might impact the poor victim who was abused *sighs thank God for your Arnav J, his words again were brilliant, his thoughts ( Your thoughts) equate perfection. The way he set Sakshi straight had me thoroughly impressed. It was quite mind boggling to see her still rise up and be angry and to think she wasn't in my bad books before, she disgusted me in this chappy! she still had the audacity to speak up and speak harshly again about a rape victim.😡
I am all emotional J, and it is all power to you woman, all power to you because you described a rape victims feelings with perfection, No amount of adjectives will do justice to how I felt about what Khushi told Sakshi, about how she doesn't blame her for her mentality, about how helpless she felt when she was being molested, about society's part in all of it in general. My heart bled for her and for all the gang rape victims out there who are abused so brutally that majority of them are both physically and emotionally scarred for life. As if the action itself is not enough society doesn't leave them alone either by calling them tainted. Thank heavens in this FIC there is some relief. There is saviors for Khushi in the form of Arnav and his family!
In the end all I can say is THANK YOU J again for the dedication and for sharing your beautiful thoughts via your characters in this FIC!
