Thank you all for your comments. I certainly didn't expected this kind of good response for this SS. Thanks once again!!!
Okay before you all read the update, please note few things:
1. Khushi is not a divorcee. Garima is a divorcee.
2. I write two stories- this one and a thing called marriage. Writing two stories at a time is a big task for me and maybe sometimes the updates posted can be short owing to the fact that I am trying to update this SS ASAP.
3. You can expect an update of this SS after a gap of 2 days but I am not promising anything.
ArHi SS: Humsafar
Chapter 3
Khushi was sleeping peacefully, snuggled closely to a very warm and cosy pillow when she felt it moving. She frowned in her sleep not understanding exactly how a pillow can move on its own accord when she felt someone's heart beating beneath her palm. Then she heard the heartbeat- loud and almost enchanting to her ears.
She smiled and snuggled more into it when she heard a chuckle. She was about to doze off again when she felt a kiss being placed on her bare right shoulder-moist and soft. She clutched the large and warm hand placed around her bare waist as more kisses were trailed from her right shoulder to her neck.
She felt someone brushing her hairs back from her forehead and kissing it softly before she heard a whisper, in the most enchanting husky voice "Khushi, wake up."
She opened her eyes quickly and stared into the most beautiful pair of molten brown eyes which belonged to her husband, Arnav.
Damn, how she failed to notice that before?
Just at that moment, her husband who had her body pinned to the bed, smiled down at her making her blush.
Squirming she tried to get him off her body, but failed miserably as Arnav refused to move holding her tightly in his arms.
"Arnavji, let go." Khushi mumbled softly, looking down making Arnav laugh throatily.
"Khushi, you don't need to be so shy. It's not like I haven't seen you naked ummm I mean out of clothes before. It's ok sweetheart." Arnav assured, mending his words seeing how red Khushi has turned the moment he had said the word naked'.
She didn't said anything but kept looking away, making Arnav sigh and get up. He turned away from her, dressed in a casual white tee and track pants and moved to the table kept to the right of the bed. Grabbing this opportunity, Khushi sat up on the bed and hastily caught hold of her long kurta, slipping it over her head before wearing it quickly.
The moment Arnav turned towards her, she stopped straightening her messed up hairs letting her hands fall to her side. She looked down at her hands, feeling Arnav moving towards her.
The next moment, a big cup of coffee was placed in front of her face making her look up at Arnav. Arnav shrugged casually and replied "Woh I was making coffee for myself, so made one for you as well."
Taking the cup from his hands, she whispered softly "Thank you, Arnavji."
Arnav smiled and took a sip of his coffee as Khushi did the same. He looked up in surprise when he heard Khushi spluttering, her face twisted in a grimace.
"What's wrong Khushi?" Arnav asked in concern, snatching the cup from her hands and taking a sip from it as well. To him, the coffee tasted alright.
"Woh, I don't like coffee without sugar." Khushi explained, hesitating.
Arnav's face which was shining with happiness fell a bit. Well truth to be told, he had woke up early and made coffee especially for her and now she didn't like it at all.
Recovering quickly, he managed to smile and said "That's okay, Khushi. I will keep that in mind from now on."
He got up and left to get ready for office, after finishing his coffee. Khushi who witnessed the play of emotions on his face felt like slapping herself for acting like that.
What was the need to say all this to him, Khushi?
Arnav was buttoning his shirt when Khushi came in front of him. Stopping for a moment, he looked up at her to see her smile, looking a bit guilty. She brushed his hand away, resuming the task of buttoning his shirt. Arnav kept looking at her as she tied the knot of his tie.
She made him wear his coat and turned him towards her. Running her hands on his chest, she hugged him intimately making Arnav smile before he hugged her back.
They stayed like that for few minutes.
Keeping her hands on his shoulder, she rose on her tip toes and pecked his lips quickly.
Stepping back, Khushi looked up and took Arnav's hand, taking him downstairs. They both had identical smile on their faces.

"Dude, stop staring at her like you are going to eat her. It's creepy." Arnav grimaced, with utmost difficulty averted his gaze from his wife and turned to his right to look at Akash, who was grinning like an idiot.
"Akash, stop it. And let me concentrate." He bit out, glaring at his twin brother. But it looked like his glare didn't had any effect on him at all.
"Arre, your brother is right. Stop staring at my bhabhi and making her nervous." He sighed, looking at the ceiling for any divine intervention that might save him from the teasing duo.
Eventually, he turned to his left to glare at Payal who had audacity to wink at him.
"You both are incorrigible. Can't you mind your own business?" Arnav said looking frustrated.
"Absolutely not" Payal and Akash said together, chuckling.
Ignoring them, Arnav resumed his task of admiring his wife Khushi who was talking to his mother right now, sitting opposite to him.
Her face was literally glowing with happiness and contentment, Arnav sighed, his hands itching to touch her beautiful face.
Arnav snapped out of his reverie the moment he heard his mother calling out his name.
"Arnav Beta, will you take bahu to her maayka for pagphere rasam?"
His mother asked apprehensively, knowing very that Arnav never liked all these rituals very much. How could she forget how he snapped at everyone during every ritual before marriage, not at all forgetting his edgy and cranky mood?
But little did she know that his son was frustrated because of the delay in his marriage all thanks to those good-for-nothing rituals.
Arnav's face lightened up immediately, at finally getting an opportunity to spend some time with his wife without the interference of his family. Thank god for minor mercies in the name of after-marriage rituals!
"Arre Maa why are you asking this like Arnav is going to say no? Can't you see how happy he is at the prospect of taking Khushi to her maayka? Iski to lottery lag gayi aaj." Payal teased and pulled Arnav's cheeks to prove the same, making Arnav groan and slap her hands away.
"Maa, I am leaving before your other bahu and son drives me crazy." Arnav said bitterly and stood up at once. He walked away while gesturing Khushi to follow him.
Bidding everyone bye, Khushi started walking behind him shyly.
As they both were about to exit, they heard some teasing laughter from behind but didn't turned to see their family staring at them.

Arnav looked at Khushi who now was sitting beside him in the car, looking down at her hands. They both were going to Khushi's maayka in complete silence but it looked like they didn't mind it at all.
The comfortable silence that fell between them had a language of its own. It spoke of their increasing feelings towards each other, their will to just be with each other.
They kept stealing glances at each other from time to time, looking away if their eyes met. Arnav who was driving the car, had a hard time while keeping his eyes on the road.
Trying to avert his attention from his wife and concentrate back on driving, Arnav switched on the radio and a soul-stirring, 90's hindi song rang in the car clearly depicting their state
"Do dil mil rahein hain,
Magar Chupke-Chupke,
Sabko ho rahi hai,
Khabar Chupke-Chupke"
They looked at each other and their gaze met. Arnav smirked. Khushi blushed.

"Arre Bitiya, finally you are here. Where is Damadji? Come sit. I need to talk to you." Garima chirped happily, finally seeing her daughter after 2 days.
Khushi walked up to her and quickly hugged her, her eyes welling after seeing her mother. She sniffed resting her head on her mother's shoulder. Garima who had sensed Khushi crying, pulled back and asked with concern "What's the matter, Bitiya? Is something wrong?"
"No Amma, I am fine. I was just missing you." Khushi answered pouting her lips.
Khushi was everything that Garima had always. Being a divorcee, she showered all her love on her daughter, comforting her heart that maybe her marriage was destined to end. Her daughter was a boon to her from her failed marriage.
"Pakka? How Damadji behaves with you? Does he take care of you? Are you happy with this marriage, Bitiya?" Garima showered Khushi with questions, worried about her daughter.
"Amma, he takes care of me just like you. I am so happy." Khushi answered sincerely, smiling through her tears. Garima feeling relieved, smiled pulling Khushi into a hug.
Arnav who was standing outside the door, after parking the car leaned back on the wall, closing his eyes with happiness. How much he had waited to hear those words from Khushi? Her happiness was all that mattered to him, his love being secondary to it.
To say, he was overwhelmed with Khushi's confession wouldn't be wrong.
Arranging his expressions quickly, he entered in the house behaving like he hadn't heard their conversation at all. After spending some time with them, he left for work with a promise to pick Khushi in evening.

As promised, Arnav came to pick Khushi around 4 pm and they were on their way to home after Khushi bid a tearful goodbye to Garima.
She was lost in her own thoughts, feeling a bit sad. She looked up and glanced outside to realize that this was not the route they had taken in morning.
"Arnavji, where are we going?" Turning towards him, Khushi asked curiously.
"On our first date" Arnav answered and smirked, stealing a glance at a blushing Khushi.
