Chapter 1
She sighed, looking at the way the edge of her lehenga rounded on the bed perfectly as she sat beneath the canopy of flowers. Tracing the intricate jewellery she was wearing with her hands, she looked up to see her sister-in-law, Payal grinning down at her.
"Scared?" Payal asked, sitting beside her the next moment.
She looked down, not answering to her question at all but her fingers fidgeting with her bangles gave Payal her answer. Keeping a hand on her shoulder, Payal whispered softly "Don't worry Khushi. He is a gentleman. He won't hurt you even in your dreams."
She nodded, not knowing what to answer as Payal stood up and walked towards the door with a smile. Payal opened the door and was about to step out when she stopped and added while looking ahead "I wish you a very happy married life, Khushi."
Khushi looked up as Payal turned and smiled at her for the last time before going out. Her shoulders slumped as she exhaled sharply, her heart beating erratically apprehensive about what's going to happen.
Resting her head on the top of her knees, she waited for her husband.
Her husband, Arnav Singh Raizada, her heart fluttered.

Taking a deep breath, Arnav opened the door after standing there for the last 10 minutes. He was hell nervous. This is supposed to be his wedding night and he didn't even knew how is he going to even look at his wife, lest initiate a conversation with her.
Stepping inside, he looked up holding his breath.
Scented candles were lit everywhere as every inch of his dimly-lit room was covered with rose petals. Trust Payal to overdo his wedding night arrangements, he kicked himself mentally for even thinking about it and moved his gaze up and stilled right then and there.
His wife was sitting beneath a canopy of flowers on HIS bed, her face partially hidden by the veil as her red-green lehenga clung to her skin beautifully.
The light emanating from the candles give a soft touch to his wife's appearance making her look more beautiful and sensuous. He noted how she looked up at him slowly before looking down shyly.
She is such an enchanting vision to behold.
He didn't know when his legs started moving, taking him to his destination, his wife, Khushi.
Brushing the strings of flowers aside, he sat beside her not failing to notice how her hands tightened around her lehenga, her breath shallow.
He cleared his throat rather loudly, making her jump a bit. Sighing in defeat, he brought his hand forward to lift her veil.
His hands shook as he touched her veil, closing his fingers around it lightly.
Finally raising her veil and keeping it on top of her head, he stared at her face- so innocent, so angelic.
He was so busy in admiring her that he didn't knew when she raised her gaze, looking back in his molten brown eyes.
He wanted to lower his gaze, lest he scared her with fire burning in them after seeing her but he couldn't. He smiled at her, sensing she was as nervous as him.
He let his hand fall back on the bed, suddenly finding it difficult to even touch her.
She looked so delicate, so soft like a porcelain doll.
Moving a bit closer to her, he got a whiff of her unique scent which drove him crazy like always. Why does she always have to smell this? Like a fresh rose or jasmine? He didn't know.
Before he could have even realized, his hands were on her shoulder turning her towards him gently.
She turned her face to him, looking down not saying anything. She closed her eyes as his hands cupped her face ever so gently.
Shivering a bit, she raised her face anticipating his next move.
Arnav smiled seeing her submitting herself to him completely, trusting him blindly. Not wasting any moment, he leaned in slowly capturing her lips in a kiss.
A kiss that he always wanted.
To tell her what he felt for her.
Khushi's heart stopped for a second when she felt his lips descending down on hers. Bunching the bed sheet around her in her fists, she responded back.
She smiled feeling Arnav's hands around her shoulder, pushing her gently making her fall on the pillow softly not breaking the kiss at all.

Keeping her eyes close, she made sure to not disturb him before raising her head to look up at his face. He was fast asleep.
Turning crimson at the way his hands were wrapped around her bare waist, she carefully placed them on the bed from her waist.
Sitting up, she searched for his shirt which he hastily unbuttoned before throwing it away and resuming his task of kissing her senselessly, his hands all over her body.
Wearing it, she stepped down from the bed and walked towards the window and leaned against it. She looked out, staring at the moon absent-mindedly.
His touch, his passionate kisses covering every inch of her body, his concern and his husky voice whispering sweet nothings in her ears- everything was so perfect, so wonderful that she couldn't stop herself from responding to it.
Then what is this strange feeling she isn't able to neglect?
Did she regret what had transpired between them? Did she regret consummating their marriage?
No
Isn't it what she always thought? Being a practical girl, she didn't have any dreams of falling in love before getting married. She always knew that she will marry the guy that her mother will choose for her.
And didn't her mother said that intimacy is the first step in arrange marriages mostly?
It wasn't a typical drama where she was expecting Arnav to sleep on the sofa till they fall in love and then consummate their marriage, right?
Then what is it that made her restless? Is she looking forward to fall in love with her husband?
Yes, this is what it must be.
She didn't had any second to dwell on it as she heard a noise and turned to see Arnav fidgeting in his sleep, his hand patting the bed in an attempt to find her.
Quickly walking back, she laid down on the bed as Arnav's hand landed on her waist again. She watched in wonder as Arnav pulled her closer, making her rest her head on his chest before falling asleep again.
She couldn't avert her eyes from the content smile he had on his face right now.
Suddenly, everything looked right to her. Perfectly alright.
She couldn't wait to fall in love with her husband.
Few clarifications:
1. This SS isn't based on the popular Pakistani drama, Humsafar.
2.This story is generally based on how Khushi fall in love with Arnav, her husband. A very simple story.
3.This SS will have 10-12 parts only.
