You finally reminded me why I fell in love with Arnav back then before he decided to be an absolute jerk. His humor, god it is one of the most sexiest things about him...
Tho I hate Sunaina but seeing Khushi jealous was fun. But I take some sadistic pleasure in seeing Arnav squirm with jealously. He totally deserves feeling restless😉

And the dance... God it was elegant, tranquil and real. Your song selection was so apt. I wish they had continued, but for Akash.
Now Khushi will understand what has made Payal so somber and quite. Khushi's new job with NGO can kick start from her own house. Maybe she can help Payal?

Amazing job Shweta👏

Super update. Really love the way Arnav handles everything with ease & gentleness. He is just running from emotional bonding with Kushi :) but jealous if some one else looks at her. He is a true gentleman with issues. Let's see if NGO will bring them together to some extent. They both don't behave like newly married couple may be due to the circumstance they got married. I thought they will share bed but disappointed :). Is Akash grey character?.

Hi, new reader here :) I saw the link of this story posted by _disha_ and started to read it, and I must say, I'm so happy that I got a chance to read this story!!

The title Hopes and Ambitions is so apt for this duo of Arnav and Khushi, and I love how you have clearly illustrated both their individuals hopes and ambitions through the course of this story so far. Khushi is a simple girl, but she still has hopes and ambitions, of teaching children, making her parents proud, and making a positive difference in her community. It was so disheartening to see her whole world taken away from her so cruelly, but she did it with such maturity and grace, despite her young age. Arnav on the other hand is completely complex, has so many layers built around him - he's trying to step up for his family and be the responsible brother, he has this thing about protecting his image at any cost, yet chooses to start a no strings attached affair with an actress/model, he's willing to do whatever it takes to win the next election (to the extent of marrying a complete stranger), he's so calculative when it comes to politics yet such a genuine family guy when it comes to certain members of his family. This hot and cold behavior is also apparent in his relationship with Khushi. I really love how you have highlighted all these characteristics of the Arnav and Khushi so seamlessly in this story thus far.

I don't know much about Indian politics, but I'm so fascinated by the whole political landscape that you have portrayed in this story that it's really kept me captivated. Politics is a dirty game, and it's all about image and how to play the game - I like how you are not sugarcoating any of it as it really lends an air of authenticity around the story.

The side characters also have so much going on with them - I like how you don't overdo it with their presence, but give us enough that that those characters still stay relevant. Lavanya is an interesting character for sure and I have a feeling we haven't heard the last from her. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and I have a feeling that she will come back into the picture at the most inopportune time. She really has no motivation to keep her affair with Arnav a secret - I can't even imagine how Khushi will feel when she comes to know about it (by the way, I was so disappointed with Arnav for going to meet her after his marriage. Sure he wasn't going to sleep with her but letting her kiss him like that was just gross😡). Payal and Akash also are intriguing characters - what is the deal with him, his anger and mood swings?? Does he have some problems with drugs (from one of the earlier chapters, I got the feeling that Arnav hates drugs due to some really personal reason). I feel so bad for Payal, I really hope that she finds the courage to do what pleases her instead of worrying about what society will think. Arnav's grandma and sister are sweethearts, whereas his mother definitely can't be called the same. I'm glad though that Arnav can stand up for himself to defend Khushi like a true man.

And of course, I love Aman!! He's a brilliant character - he's obviously dealing with the lost of his loved one and has given up on his own personal life basically - but he's such a great contrast to ASR - he's sensible, he isn't rash with his actions or words, and he seems like a calming force beside the volatile ASR. Hope Aman gets some happiness soon in his personal life, he seems like a great man. But what is Anjali's deal around him (does she like him??).

I really like how you have set up this story with the political backdrop, the side characters and the circumstances that led to Arnav and Khushi's marriage. I see that you are slowly making Arnav and Khushi get closer to one another, get affected by each other - I like how it's gradual as it doesn't seem forced. The last two parts which highlighted each of their jealous feelings was great - hope they both realize why they are feeling that way. I really do feel sorry for Khushi that she's in this unique situation - I really hope that Arnav realizes that he needs to communicate with her more so she feels comfortable in this new life.

I think I have just written an essay, so I will stop now. Really looking forward to see how this story progresses, especially in terms of how Arnav and Khushi will come closer, what is the story behind Khushi's parents demise, and of course, what's going to happen with the election!

Amazing update...it was great to see a jealous Khushi, the way she kept paying attention to their conversation and really concentrating on the game. Liked the way Arnav, told NK to talk his cousin instead of Khushi because he needed to talk to her. Not know what he had to say to her, he really came up with a good solution of her working on the NGO. She was so happy, hope she continues to be. Khushi has had enough sadness that deserves to be happy.

The party...loved it...Arnav making sure she was not left alone and complementing her was awesome. Hopefully that will make her feel better. Off course, right when the romantic part was coming...drunk Aakash had to ruin it. Poor Payal has to witness her husband behaving like a fool. But as always Arnav to the rescue, the way he told Khushi to take Payal was true ASR mode.

Can't wait for the next update...hopefully its soon!!!

another brilliant update👏 this time its khushi who had to deal with the green feelings.and what feelings we got to see!! she even thought of scratching sunaina's face😆 love how arnav is taking interest in bringing khushi to the forefront of his family's social activities. the most important thing is that he realizes her potential and her determination to do something great and has trusted her to shoulder such a great responsibility. this in indeed is a very strong value which he has, and itself shows what a wonderful life partner he can be. the only thing which their relationship needs is some good amount of communication, so that they can tune into each other more.( they already have this inborn asset to sense each other's presence). i feel really sorry for khushi that she is getting to face such unwanted situations of elite shallowness, things which she never had to face in the comfortable n simple life she had before. i'm on cloud nine that arnav n khushi had their first intense moment! even though it was only for a short moment, it clearly defined the unique bond these two are going to share in future. loved arnav for the self assurance n belief which he provided her . as for akash and payal, i really can't make out why he turned out to be like this. is this due to some past he had?

Loved this update...in spite of doing things abruptly Arnav has done a good thing by entrusting the NGOs to khushi...he might not have planned for it but his presence of mind shows here...both are jealous of the opposite gender attention on their partners...this will help them to come close...Thanks for the PM

Another stunner shweta !

This Arnav Singh Raizada is a gorgeous man and i so love his English Humor , sarcastic and absolutely deadpan.😆
So Khushi too has been bit by the jealousy bug and that makes their coupling even more interesting.
The dance was quite exquisite and just when i thought kuch hone wala hai , "boom" we have Akash not so elegant Raizada make a spectacle of himself.
Once again Arnav's way of dealing with the situation speaks of his authority both at home and otherwise. This incident will surely make Khushi look up into Payal's always forlorn state.

And look what i found !😳

anjali and kushi liked their interaction and conversation like care free talks...i guess anjali likes aman...kushi is getting glimpse of arnav here and there, now she knows her husband is not like what he looks like...

payal feel really bad for her...hoping witht he help of kushi she will stand by her husband ..akash is not thinking or realizing what he is loosing..hoping he will change...

arnav and kushi, their sudden marrige, and big age diffrence iam not getting kushi is 21 and arnav is 36 did i miss something, that much age difference...please clarify dear...

Both Khushi and Arnav are becoming posessive about each other.
It was fun to see them getting jealous and territorial.
And at last Arnav paid Khushi a complement.
This must definitely boost her confidence.
The sunglasses scene was interesting.
Khushi will need a lot of time to understand her husband.
The two came close at last when they danced together.
But then Aakash had to spoil things for them.
I really hope Payal quickly learns to stand up for herself and stops being a doormat.
Wish Khushi helps her through with this.
