Kunchu dear,
This is coming along very well, and as it is early days yet, I have no comments right now on the story proper.
Of course, every false murder suspect HAS to grasp the murder weapon, a knife stuck in the dead body or a gun dropped on the floor, and leave fingerprints all over it for the cops to find and nail him/her! I have not seen a single case where the false murder suspect did not handle the murder weapon, So much for commonsense!
One important point. Arjun's stoicism, dedication to finding out the truth and his apparent hardheartedness have all come across very well. But in real life, he would NEVER have been allowed to be associated with a case where his father was the main murder suspect, as the conflict of interest would have been blatant and would have invited adverse comment in the press and elsewhere. Also the strain on Arjun would have been too much for him to take.
I shall put this deviation from the norm down to literary licence on your part!
