by the way... i was just thinking abt the story, and wondering why astha changed after 12yrs.. this is just my imagination.. maybe.. she had to compromise and marry someone, and then he died.. so right now she is a widow.. thats why she wears all light colored clothes n min jewelry...maybe..

Part 8

Astha reaches her room from the party..

She goes into her room and falls on the bed with a smile.. she feels shy and keeps thinking about the kiss.. she touches her lips and remembers all the moments with shlok.. the first time they met on the street and she fought with him and smiles thinking how silly he was.. and they time he came to her room and saw her in the towel and held his hands on her mouth to prevent her from screaming and the time she hugged him and everything around that moment was so special.. a feeling she never experienced before..

She holds a pillow on her chest and keeps smiling..

" whats happening to you astha.. why does shlok feel so special?? Why cant I stop thinking about him all the time.. and what happened today?? Am I falling in love with him?? Is he also in love with me??" astha talks to herself and feels happy

" no mr.shlok.. u will have to propose first.. I will not say anything.."astha says to herself

Shlok is sitting in his room with a beer in his hands.. and he keeps thinking about him kissing astha.. he id confused and rather disturbed by his act..

Just then his friends enter his room.. the same friends who were in the party.. they are two girls and one guy..

" hey shlok.. where the hell are you man.. ur party and we are getting bored here.." the guy speaks up

" and what the hell are we hearing.. astha is ur girlfriend.. I mean u gys are seeing each other?? When did this happen??" one of the girls asks

Shlok gets up and closes the door and comes and sits with them offering them a beer too..

" no guys.. u don't know what happened after the party that day.." shlok tries to explain

" mom reached there and saw us in the same together and then I dint know what to tell her.. so a had to make up this lie of going around.." " so nothing guys.. nothing between us of that kind"

" and astha?? I mean she agreed to pretend to ur mom? And ur mom too liked her.. I mean to say she has no class and.." one of the girls asked

" just stop it.. mom doesn't like people based on their bank balance.. and by the way astha is a nice and likeable girl so obviously mom liked her.. " shlok irritatingly says back.. " ok guys I think u all must leave.. I am not feeling well and I just wanna sleep now.."

Shlok asks them to leave and they all stare at each other thinking why shlok is behaving like this and they leave from there..

Shloks friends go down and sit in the car and talk to each other..

" astha is flying very high.. I dint forget that shlok insulted us for this girl in the party in front of everyone.." one of the girl says

" don't worry.. we will get back at her" the guy says and smirks and they all leave.

The next day in college.. astha meets gauri and they both go to the ground and talk

"whats the matter with you astha?? And what am I hearing about u and shlok ?" gari asks

" actually gauri there is nothing okay.. that day in the party I don't know what happened and I ended up sleeping in shloks room.. next morning his mom saw both of us and misunderstood.. she is bit strict with shlok and shlok also na stupid lied to his mom that I am his girl friend and now we have to pretend to be so.. just for sometime that's it" astha explains

Gauri doesn't like this

"astha.. do u even what u are doing.. and how are u guys planning to tell his mom the truth?? And don't u feel that what u guys are doing is wrong?"

Astha is bit shaken.. " yeah actually shlok is making some plan.. and I am not really feeling anything wrong" astha smiles and has a shy expression that gauri clearly notices

" astha is there something more?? Have u fallen for shlok??" gauri strictly questions

Astha feels guilty and looks away..

"astha am asking u something.. tell me the truth" gauri pulls asthas hand and face

Astha looks down and says.. " actually gauri.."

Gauri in anger gets up and folds her arms.. " astha.. take my word.. don't get into this.. in the end u will only get a heart break and nothing else.."

" no gauri I don't agree with you.. shlok is not like that,. He fought with his friends for me in his party, he made me feel at home when I visited his house and his mother also she is so sweet and likes me so much.. and .. and I know even shlok likes me a lot.."

" our feeling for each other is mutual.. and if he was not having any feelings for me then he wouldn't have kissed..." astha just holds on her words which she was saying in haste

Astha starts walking away.. gauri holds her arms..

" astha.. I am not ur enemy,.. it just that I don't want anything bad to happen to u that's it.. I have known shlok for many years and that's why I am saying this.. just be careful that's it.."

Astha is bit upset..

Shlok is sitting with his friends in the canteen and laughing at something

Astha in walking in thoughts of what gauri told her and suddenly she sees shlok.. he is laughing and enjoying with friends

She smiles and thinks that gauri is not right..

Astha goes to shlok table " hi shlok" she says and sits down there

all of shloks friends stare at her coming to his table..

Shlok feels awkward as he is her senior and whatever has been happening between them is private and not known to all the frinds and students around.. and moreover shlok is very image conscious in college..

" hey astha.. how are you" shlok gives an awkward smile.. " ah.. so hows ur classes going on.?? And do u need any help from me?? After all seniors need to help their juniors.." he says

Astha feels bad and awkward due to shloks words... she gets up and about to go

She turns back and sees anjali there...

Shlok gets tensed seeing anjali as he knows anjali can make an announcement about them in front of everyone..

" shlok, astha beta... did u have lunch" anjali asks loudly as she approaches them

All of shloks friends stand up and even astha and shlok..

" astha beta.. how are u feeling now.. yesterday due to the fire u were very scared" anjali cups astha's face with her one hand and questions..

" am fine aunty" astha is feeling awkward in the crowd but she manages to smile

Shlok is bit irritated and tensed as all the crowd is looking at this scene and gossiping..

"mom.. mom.. come with me" shlok takes her aside..

" why beta.. let me talk to astha.. " anjali just pushes shlok aside.. " astha.. I came here to tell you that u are coming home with me.. I don't want u to stay in that orphanage any more and since u and shlok are in a relationship and someday u will surely take it forward .. so as a mother I want to think for u too.. so u will shift in agnihotri mansion today itself.. okay.." anjali says with a smile

Astha doesn't know how to react and she looks at shlok.. shlok is hell shocked by what anjali is doing..

" mom.. lets go mom.. this is not the place to talk all this.." shlok holds her hand and takes her away.. " mom what are u doing.. why are iu saying this in front of so many people.." shlok gets angry

" so what shlok.. is anything hidden.. all these people were present in ur party also.. when they know about u both.. and I am ur mother and I have all right to take decision for u as well as for astha.." anjali says strictly..

" ok mom I understand.. but this is not the place" shlok tries to explain..

" shlok.. just send astha.. we need to go to her orphanage and talk to the manager there and vacate her" anjali orders and goes to the car..

Astha is embarrassed in front of so many students as she hears them all gossiping and talking about what anjali just announced..

Shlok comes there.. " astha, mom is calling you.. she is waiting in the car"

Astha is bit unsure but then she nods and leaves with anjali

As astha leaves shlok sees lot of gossiping going on and some people trying to ask him something too..

Shlok in anger leaves from there..

His friends follow him as they reach the college terrace..

" oh so astha I going to move in with you now?" one of the guys asks

" we don't have a choice now" shlok says in anger

" yeah right shlok.. but astha surely has a chance" one of the girl says

" what do u mean " shlok asks in irritation

" yeah shlok.. cant u see.. astha is clearly using ur plan for her convenience.. how come she dint even question u once and just left with ur mom??" the girl tries to poison shloks mind

Shlok looks at her and thinks

"yeah shlok.. astha is a poor girl, an orphan brought up in some cheap low class orphanage.. she has never seen money and such a big house.. and with all this drama she is getting all that she ever dreamt of.. ur mom loves her and clearly she can use her for her benefits.. and u shlok agnihotri, u are every girls dream guy in this college and how different is astha.. basically shlok, ur plan and her profit" the girl poisons shlok

shlok looks at her and thinks wether she is right

" no guys.. I don't believe you.. this idea was mine and astha never agreed to it.. but later for me she agreed so.. and soon we will fake a fight in front of my mom and we will be done with this lie"

" yeah that's the plan shlok.. if she agreed in the first time you would have got a doubt on her.. she wants to potray to be good in front of you.. and what challenge that she will not break away from u easily.. she wont fake any fight and break up from you.." the girl says

" I don't believe u guys.. I will show u what the truth is" shlok says in anger and leaves

But surely his friends words has affected them some how..

Astha and anjali reach the orphanage and anjali speaks to the manager

" I would like to take astha from here.. she will stay with us.." anjali asks with a smile

" astha has crossed 18 and now she can choose to go wherever she wants.. u can get her things packed up and u can take her with you" the manager smiles and says and leaves

Astha is bit unsure..

" aunty.. is this necessary.. I am fine here.." astha explains to anjali

" you know astha.. I always wished that I had a daughter.. and today when I see you and talk to you, my wish comes true.. I think the god up there has kept u motherless so that I could fill in that affection for you.." anjali says with teary eyed and hugs astha

Astha is in tears hearing anjali's words and hugs back as she has never got mothers love in her life.. astha agrees to go with anjali..

Shlok is in his room and thinking about what his friends said to him.. he decides to finish this break up as soon as possible.

Astha and anjali in anjali's room.. anjali has bought a lot of things for astha.. clothes, jewellerey bags shoes everything..

" astha.. this is all for you.. I want you to go to college well dressed and with all good accessories.. I always wished to dress up my daughter and buy all these things.. and today I am seeing everything coming true.. " anjali gets emotional

Astha feels unsure of taking all these things from anjali..

" aunty I really cant take these things.. please.. u have already done enough for me.. u paid my college fees and then brought me home and given me so much love that I never got .. I never saw my parents but I am sure that even my own mother might not have given me as much affection as u have shown to me.. and now I really cannot take all these things.." astha is teary eyed

" no astha.. u take me as ur mom right.. u have to accept these things... please" anjali forces and leaves astha with no choice..

She puts the necklace around astha's neck and show her in the mirror and sees how good it looks.. astha smiles and says that its very nice..

Shlok comes down from his room and goes to see anjali and astha.. he sees astha enjoying all the things that anjali bought for her and he gets a bit angry.. he starts to feel that his friends were saying the truth..

Shlok decides to do this break off as soon as possible
