Part 7

Anjali holds astha's folded hands and asks her not to cry.. " no beta.. please don't cry.. whatever happened is past.. forget it and move ahead.." anjali says and hugs astha..

Shlok standing at a distance wipes his tears and walks inside..

" mom.. how is my surprise for u?" he asks his mom and sits next to her..

" love u son.. " she smiles at shlok.. " astha.. where were u all these years?? What did u do?? U seem very changed.. what happened to my astha who wore colourful clothes and jewellery.. a lively person I knew 12 years ago?? Anjali asks and shlok also looks on as even he wants to know what happened..

Astha doesn't say anything and changes the topic.. " nothing aunty.. so how is ur health??"

Shlok suddenly feels something wrong.. and he gets up and goes out..

Astha makes anjali lie down in her bed and goes to shloks room.. Shlok is looking at an album.. astha goes to him and sits next to him to see.. its their pics.. astha smiles and sees them..

Shlok gets a call and he walks out..

Astha touches the pics and tears flow out of her eyes.. those were her good moments with shlok.. the pics of the first time that she came to meet anjali..

Its evening and anjali is setting up for dinner at her house and waiting for astha to come..

Shlok goes to pick up astha at the orphanage.. and is waiting at the gate..Astha comes out dressed in a beautiful pink and grey salwar.. looking mesmerisingly beautiful.. shlok looks at her gives a smile and opens the car door for her to get inside..

Astha smiles and sits in the car.. and they drive off

They both are very quiet.. shlok breaks the silence "astha !!.. you look so beautiful today" he says

Astha just looks at him and smiles.. " shlok.. are we doing the right thing??"

" yeah astha.. don't worry.. I have a plan .. I will tell u about it later.. as of now mom and dad are waiting for you for dinner..

Astha reaches Agnihotri mansion and she is shocked to see the huge house.. she has probably seen such houses only in films.. she keeps looking at the structure as she enters and sees anjali standing..

" welcome home astha.. be comfortable and regard this as ur house only" anjali hugs astha..

Astha touches her feet and also niranjan's feet and takes blessings..

Anjali starts talking to astha and takes her around the house.. and shlok doesn't interfere with them and he goes to his room and watched tv..

Anjali takes astha to show her room.. astha feels bit uncomfortable as anjali thinks that she is shloks girlfriend and is giving her so much attention.. which is not the truth.. astha is feeling guilty to lie to anjali who is so nice to her..

" aunty.. can I ask u something??" astha questions.. " why are u being so nice to me?"

" why beta.. why are u asking such a question?" anjali feels weird.. " u know astha.. shlok is my only son.. and frankly he is a jerk.. I am always tensed about him, his behaviour, his choice of friends and I was always worried that when he likes a girl in his life the how will she be.."

"but when I see u now.. I am totally relieved .. my son is with a right person.. and I don't want to lose u.."

Astha is bit taken aback and wonders how will they tell her that its all a lie and she is not shloks girlfriend..

" ok astha.. can I ask u something if u don't mind..what happened to ur parents?" anjali asks

Astha gets a bit emotional...

" actually aunty.. when I was 9 years old they died in an accident.. I frankly don't remember much.. but there was noone with me.. so the lady who used to work in my house took me to this orphanage.. since then I am living there only" astha says with a teary eyes..

Anjali sort of feels bad.. " u know astha.. there are people in this world who have both their parents bt they just don't care and there are people who need them the most and god doesn't give them.."

Astha looks at anjali

" don't worry astha.. I am just like ur mom.. u can call me aai if u like.. never feel alone in ur life okay.." she holds astha and says

Astha gets touched by her gesture and is teary eyed..

Suddenly shlok comes looking for astha.. " astha.. astha.. where are u?"

And astha and anjali wipe off their tears and astha goes out of the room..

Shlok takes astha to his room..

It's a huge room.. a big bed, a huge television and well furnished..the wall is full of pics of shlok..

Astha looks around as she has never seen something like this before..

" hows my room?" shlok asks astha..

Astha smiles that its beautiful... shlok goes to fetch something and astha keeps looking around..

As she is looking around.. she looks at something behind the curtain shaking. She gets scared and calls shlok

" shlok.. shlok.. there is something here.. come soon"

But shlok doesn't come and astha is tensed... she slowly goes forward to see what it is..

She goes closer and moves the curtain and suddenly something falls on her..

She screams and turns back and hugs shlok in a scare.. the power goes off suddenly..

Astha in shloks arms.. and suddenly she feels like never letting go of holding him.. she closes her eyes and absorbs the moment as it will never return..

Shlok also gets into the moment and holds astha and feeling that he never felt before.. a sense of peace and life in his arms..

Astha suddenly opens her eyes and realizes that's its not right.. she slowly moves away and turns away in embarrassment..

Both feel unconsciously attracted to eachother..

Shlok turns away too.. and there is silence between the two..

Suddenly shlok decides to break the silence..

" astha.. come I will show you something: he says to change the topic.."

Astha also thinks that it's a better idea..

Shlok gets an album to show astha... " astha.. its my childhood pics.. come see..:

Astha and shlok sit down in the sofa and see the pics and laugh at some of them.. as shlok keeps showing the pics.. astha keeps looking at shlok.. she seems so attracted to shlok.. this whole lie seems so real for her.. astha tries to look away and hold on to her feelings for him..

Shlok suddenly speaks up..

" astha I told u na I have a plan to handle situation with mom"

"ok listen... we have to do something where in mom herself breaks this relation"

Astha suddenly feels bad.. like she is awakened from a dream that will never happen..

" what?? What are u saying?"

" yeah astha.. I cant tell her the truth as of now.. she has high regards for you.. and I need a strong reason to say that I broke up with you.. and we need to do as soon as possible.. we don't love each other do we?" shlok says asking astha

Astha feels taken aback.. but then she makes herself understand that it was meant to be this way..

" so what do we do shlok??"

" astha I have a plan.. I will become real bad towards you.. very rude and mistreat you.. mom will not like this.. and she will sk you to break off from me.. and we will break up easily.." shlok asks confidently..

" are u sure this plan will work?" astha asks indisbelief..

" I think so.. but lets try astha.." shlok tries to persuade astha..

Astha nods in listening to shlok...

Astha is about to leave... anjali gives her some gifts and fruits etc to take.. and hugs her..

Shlok looks at her that their plan will be happening soon..

Anjali invites astha home for diwali.. and astha agrees to come and shlok decides to bring his plan to play in the function..

Astha reaches shloks house.. shlok is busy with all the guests who are there and suddenly he turns back to see astha entering

She is wearing a red sari that his mom had given her to wear.. her hair open and her waist showing through the soft transparent pallu of the sari... she is looking like a beauty.. shlok couldn't keep his eyes off her.. she never looked so attractive before this ..

Astha feels so awkward among so many guests.. her eyes looks around and finds shlok.. they both look at each other and share a eye lock..

Shlok is wearing a beautiful black kurta perfectly fitting his well built body and looking so handsome.. they look so made for each other as shlok comes close to astha and holds her hand and they enter the house..

Anjali also sees astha and compliments her..

" kisi ki nazar na lage.. u look so pretty astha.." ahe says and puts a black kajal teeka to asthas neck.." shlok take her around and introduce her to some of our guests" she says and goes back to her guests..

Astha smiles back and shlok looks at her.. and suddenly says

" so astha, u are ready for our plan right?"

Astha feels disheartened as she somehow doesn't want this dream to end for her.. but she nods her head in saying yes to shlok..

" ok cool.. we will wait till our guests leave and then we will go to a place and start fighting.. I will try to treat u as badly as possible and scold and shout at you.. and then you cry a lot.. and then mom will come to ur rescue for sure.. we will make things impossible and then mom will herself announce our breakup" shlok gives his plan to astha and she nods..

All the guests go to the lawn where there is crackers bursting.. astha sees them but feels uninterested to go there.. so she goes and sits by the terrace to see everything from there..

She talks to herself.. " why am I feeling so attracted to shlok?? No its wrong.. its just a drama that we are doing in front of his mom and nothing else.. I need to stop getting emotional.. I cant fall in love with shlok"..she thinks to herself...

Suddenly shlok comes from behind.. " are u alright astha?" he asks softly

Astha comes out of her thoughts and says " yeah I am fine.. just I don't feel like being a part of all this.. so..."

Shlok smiles and turns around to go back...

Suddenly a rocket lit up comes straight into the balcony and hits astha's sari and her pallu catches fire..

Astha screams loudly seeing her sari on fire. " shlok.. shlok.. save me.."

Shlok turns around and runs to her and tries to put of the fire from his hand.. then it doesn't put off.. he gets worried as the fire is increasing.. he pulls astha aside and pulls of the sari and tears it off...

Astha falls on the floor near his room door and is in tears as she is so scared after the incident..

The sari part burns and the fire goes off..

Shlok turns back and sees astha fallen on the floor... he goes closer to her and holds her shoulder and lifts her up

Astha feels shy as her sari is totally ripped.. and its only her blouse visible and no pallu.. she covers her hands over herself in front of shlok..

Shlok feels some what and takes out his stol and puts it around astha's shoulder and covers her up and asks " are u ok astha.."

Astha is bit teary eye and looks at shlok...

He takes her inside and slowly wipes off her tears.. astha shys off.. and tries to go away..

He holds her hand and pulls her towards himself and into his arms..

He slowly wipes off her tears and they keep looking at each other.. he then slowly moves away her hair from her face and cups her face with both his hands and bends down and kisses her lips.. astha closes her eyes and accepts the kiss from shlok.. they both get lost into eachother completely.. they share a lip lock..

Suddenly there is a kock on the door and its anjali screaming for them.. and suddenly they break their kiss..

Shlok releases astha as he realizes whats happening between them... astha also feels guilty and runs and opens the door to see anjali

Anjali sees astha's condition and gets tensed..

"astha ! what happened?" she asks in tension

both look at anjali..

I have to say I LOVE this Anjali, I mean I wish she was like this in the show. It would have been awesome. As per Shlok, I still feel like he will never admit it to himself even if he is attracted to Astha, but I am not sure. I loved the update, thank you for the pm. I am excited to know what they will tell Anjali, and what she will say, or how she will react! 😊
