She hesitated to sleep on the bed with him though she could see how angry he was hearing her rejection.
Arnav: Where do you intend to sleep then?
Khushi : Anywhere else.
Arnav: Like?
Khushi: This Recliner.
She pointed and immediately sat on it like she possessed it now. He turned the lights off and she felt scared in the dark room. She shivered with cold first and now also by the sudden darkness. She closed her eyes to get some sleep taking Devi Miayya's name in her mind to avoid the ill thoughts that clouded her mind.
Only Arnav knew how he was controlling himself after having her in the same room with him. Almost some 15 minutes passed and he heard her soft snores. He turned the lamp on sitting on the bed and checking her once. She was lying almost dead sleepy on that recliner like she didn't sleep for ages. She was shivering still as he didn't pass her any comforter. He got up and thought of giving her one but then something else popped in his mind. He took some slow steps towards this girl and then gently picked her in his arms ensuring he doesn't disturb her sleep. She was so light weighted. He carried her all lovingly to the bed and made her sleep on it.
Putting the Duvet on her and covering her till her neck, he shut the lights off and took the other side of the bed using the same Comforter. He knew this was not easy for him again but who cared?? All he wanted is to see her the whole night and the next morning too when he opens his eyes.

Morning
She felt a heavy weight on her stomach which wasn't allowing her to move the other side. Not being sure of what it was, she just held it and tried keeping it aside. That's when she realized it was someone's hand on her. She pulled herself away from him opening her disturbing his sleep too. She had no idea who got her on the bed. As far as she remembered, she was on the recliner. How can she sleep with an unknown man like that?
He opened his eyes and saw her face full of fear. Seeing him awake she couldn't even sit on that bed anymore. She tried getting up which annoyed him to the core. With one pull he made her fall on him almost making her shiver at their close proximity.
Arnav: Do I have thorns on me that you always keep running away?
Khushi: Jee?
Arnav: "G"?? That's not my name. Call me Arnav.
Khushi had no reply to that. She wanted to get off him but looked like he was enjoying this.
Khushi: Humme chodiye.
Arnav: Na chodu toh??
It was clear from his smirk that he didn't wish to leave her. She continued pleading while he kept admiring her face.
Khushi: Humme jaane dijiye.
Arnav: Why did you run away from here?
She had no expected him to ask her this. But now that he did all she wanted is run away. But his hold was tight and she couldn't do much about it.
Arnav:Do you even know how mad I was to find you?
Khushi: Hum yeh nahi kar sakte. Hum kisi ko dhoka nahi de sakte.
Arnav:Aur mujhe? Mujhe dhoka de sakti ho?
His eyes clearly revealed how hurt he was for losing her some hours back. She had no idea what he meant by this and nor did she wish to know. She continued struggling in his arms but to no use. Infact he now rolled her on the bed once coming on her and looking in her eyes which were teary for being in this position with some unknown man.
Khushi: Please. Humme chodiye.
If he wouldn't have left her, no one would have stopped her from crying in fear. He got up from the bed and she jumped off too moving away from him as much as she could. She hit her head to the behind wall and he kept looking at her.
Arnav: You cannot leave this house Khushi. So do not even try to. Your last night's acts have made me alert. Next time you will be punished for this.
The door was knocked by Astha asking Arnav to open. Khushi in his fear did not even wait for him to order her. She opened the door and immediately ran outside not even waiting to know what her mother in law was here for.
Astha: Khushi? Khushi?? How sick of this girl.? She cannot behave like this Chotte. Anyways I came to thank you for getting her back. I had lost the hopes already. But you saved me.
Arnav: I got her for ME . Not for you.
Mrs Raizada: WOW. My Son is all smitten by her charm? Seems like I found a perfect Woman for my Son. What happened last night then that she is so scared of you?
Arnav: Shut up.
Mrs Raizada: Ohh Come on Arnav. I didn't ask much. Let me know what you did with her too. There should be something which makes her stick to this house for long.
Arnav: One more word from you and I wont mind you dragging out of my room.
Mrs Raizada: Fine. I came to inform you I am going to Nainital which means you are alone with Nani and her. Take care.
Arnav didn't react. His mother's extra business was always kept a secret from him. What she did , where she went, he had nothing to do with it.
She left and Arnav went for his shower.

Nani: Khao bitiya.
Khushi took a piece of the Paratha and stuffed in her mouth. She didn't eat anything last night and she was so much hungry. She was trying to find something to eat here in the kitchen and Nani noticed that. She asked the maid to cook something for her what she likes and now had made Khushi sit before her while she ate it quickly.
Arnav came down and saw his Nani and Khushi sitting and having their respective breakfast. He took the blessings from Nani first wishing her a Good morning and then sat beside his wife. Khsuhi was about to get up and sit somewhere else but he caught her hand below the table and squeezed it gently gesturing her This is where she belonged.
Nani: Arnav, how couldn't you see your wife was hungry? This is how you look after her?
Arnav: Sorry Nani. Next time I will be more careful.
Khushi could see how gentle and humble he was before his Nani as if he was a perfect Grandson. But was he really like One? Or was he just showing off just like his mother did?
Nani: Astha went to Nainital again. I told her to wait for some days. She also needs some time with her Bahu but she didn't listen to me.
Arnav: Work comes first in her list. Then the family.
Nani: Don't blame her Chotte. You too are the same. Like Mother. Like Son.
Arnav's anger rose once again but he gritted his teeth to suppress it still not able to control his next set of words to his Nani
Arnav: No Nani. I am definitely not like her. Neither do I wish to be like her.
Once again Khushi's mind was diverted towards him. Why was he so angry with his mother? Looked like there was a rift between them. But that wont make him good anyway. He was still very cruel enough of making her sleep on the same bed with him. And also changing his clothes before her. Wasn't he shy? She finished eating and got up to keep the plates back.
Nani : You don't have to do this bitiya. The servants will do it.
Khushi: No Naniji. I will do this.
Arnav : Keep the plate Khushi.
She could see he was again trying to dominate her and this time with angry expressions. She kept the plate on the table and waited to know what was next.
Arnav: Go upstairs and have your shower. Your clothes are arranged in the closet.
She walked slowly back to his room as she was not understanding any reason to deny him either.

Never did she have such a wonderful shower In her life pampering herself with the Bodywash of such high brands. She wore a White robe and came outside wiping her hair with a Towel. She walked to the mirror checking how she looked in such attire and bounced back seeing him leaning at the bedroom door and admiring her. The towel from her hand fell down and she started hiding herself from him by standing next to the gap between the closet and the table.
Khushi: How did you come in? Please go out. I . I have to change .
Arnav: The change.! Who stopped you?
He walked step forward and closed the curtains of the French Doors for her.
Arnav: Now no one will see you changing. Go ahead.
Khushi: How can you be so shameless. Yesterday night you did all that before me and now you are expecting the same from me too? What do you think you are? You cannot trap me in this house forever. You. You will have to leave me one day or else. Or else I will tell Naniji everything.
She had no idea what all she blabbered before him and when he reached her during all this. He took his tie off and pulled her towards him. She tried pushing but he caught both her hand and he tied them using his tie behind her.
She froze feeling helpless after being tied like that.
Arnav: What if I help you change?
Khushi: Aap. Aap aisa nahi kar sakte.
Arnav: Why not Khushi? When you can blackmail me taking nani in between, I too can do things which you wont like me doing. Hisaab barabar.
He moved his hand to the knot of the robe while she shut her eyes tight in fear of being exposed before him. Nothing would be so cheap than that for showing her valuable assets to an unknown man like him.
A tear drop fell from her eyes directly on his wrist which was holding the knot of her robe now and he looked at her face. She was an untouched, pure soul who only wanted to live her life with dignity , probably something which she never got before from anyone.
Arnav: You have to tell me what made you attempt a Suicide. Only then I shall untie you.
So he was ready not to touch her? She quickly opened her eyes and looked in his to know if she should trust him.
"I am waiting" came a reply again from him.
Khushi: My father. My Step father. He planned to sell me off to some rich man so I ran away. To save my life. To save my dignity.
He touched the little mark on her neck but she flinched in fear. Since her hands were tied by him, she couldn't even react or move back.
Arnav: And this scar?
Khushi: He tried to strangle my neck as I was not ready to go with that man.
A sudden rage preoccupied his mind knowing how badly that man treated her. His end was near. If not by the wish of God, then definitely by Arnav Singh Raizada's will.
Khushi: I told you everything you wanted to know. Now please untie me.
Her innocent pleads were able to cool down his anger at the present situation.
Arnav: Untie the Robe or your Hands?
"ROBE" came an affirmative reply from her. She could see he was teasing her. If he ever wished to use her , he would have done it long back. But he was gentle with her. Not in a proper way but he seemed to be much better than what his mother was with her. He moved his hands behind and untied her.
She was about to run away but he caught her hand again and made her come back to him.
Arnav: That man will see his end Soon Khushi. And that's Arnav Singh Raizada's Promise.
