Chapter 8

Taani roamed here and there in her room, trying to minimize the effect of alcohol. Well, it almost already had when she met Avi, Rey and Bhai. They had drained all her energy, while she was trying not to cry in front of 'em and break down. She went to the washroom to splash water on her face.
On the other hand, Avi was ready to unfold his heinous crime. He had always lusted over Taani. Her petite figure, curvy body, luscious lips, long slender legs.. Everything about her fascinated him. One by one, he had made everyone go away from Taani, specially Rey, his so-called lover. He heard footsteps and turned to see Taani, his prey.

Rey had a hard time believing Avi. Even though he agreed to for college, the look on Avi's face made him suspicious. So he decided to check on Taani.

" Hey, Taani " Avi said grinning.
" Stay away from me, you Son of a Bit*h " Taani said visibly irritated with Avi's advances these days.
" You've got some nerves . Damn, I love that about you " Avi said lustfully with his eyes sparkling.
" Listen, stay away from me ! " She said loudly and firmly hoping that this bas***d would leave her alone. But she felt a bit scared when she saw his grinning and moving towards her. She moved back clearly shocked but he was in no mood to stop. He moved forward and pinned Taani to the wall. She hit him with her small hands showing courage but she was altogether scared. And the next big shock she received when Avi kept his hand on her waist. She jerked away and pushed him with all the force she had. And Avi got a slap which was enough to make him angry.
" You, Bitch! What do you think of yourself? Ever since you're in my life all you're doing is making it difficult. Now I'll show you what's the cost one has to pay for this" said Avi.
He moved forward and in the turn of events Taani slipped onto the ground. Avi held both her hands and pinned her to the ground with him on top of her.
" Reyyy, helppp ! " She screamed as loud as she could.
" Oh, my darling. Your Rey isn't here. And neither is your brother. So its just you and me" Avi said with a evil smirk on his face.
She closed her eyes, still struggling with a much stronger Avi cursing her Fate. She was hell scared to do anything. She wished Rey was here to protect. But..

Avi was about to kiss her when he heard the bang of the door and the sight he saw was enough to shake his ground.
Reyaansh Singhania standing on the entrance of the house, with mad and pure rage in his eyes and his jaw clenched.
What Rey saw was enough to shake the beast in him. Taani.. His Taani was struggling and trying to free herself from Avi who was on top of her, forcing himself on her.

Avi backed away from her immediately.
" See Rey, what you're seeing is not right. I mean she told me to kiss her. I tell you, these wh*res like Taani .."
This was it for Rey. He charged forward at Avi and punched him for his terrible sin. The rage in Rey's eyes further scared Taani who was totally numb and was sitting on the ground with knees bent and her eyes continuously crying. By now, Rey had managed to hit Avi to an extent where he was half-unconscious. He vented out all his anger and his murderous rage. He realized that all Avi said was a lie and was guilty beyond measures. He suddenly remembered Taani. He left this bas***d and turned to see Taani and her condition made his heart cry out loud.

Taani was sitting on the ground with her eyes wet and bruises all over her body. Her disheveled hair, bruised arm and legs and lips swollen made Rey's heart crumble yet again. Her face was clearly showing her state of shock. Rey took few steps towards her. This took a hell lot of courage and he feared he might collapse anytime seeing Taani in that situation. His Taani was in a state of shock and somewhere or the other he was responsible for it. If he hadn't left her.. If her had believed her.. IF.
" Taani " His shaky voice called out to her.
She didn't bulge. Neither did she look up. She just sat there with her eyes fixed on the ground.
" Taani I.." He repeated once again but he got no response. He knew that he had to do something to get her out of state. Only he knew how much it was hurting him to see Taani in this state.
He moved forward and sat on the floor next to her. Still she didn't show any sign of movement. He wiped her tears but it was useless as she cried even more.
Rey made her look up. As his eyes met with hers, she jerked up and hugged him with all the strength she had. She cried and cried. His shirt was wet by her tears but he didn't care. All he cared was that his Taani was crying and somewhere he was the reason for it. Even after 5 minutes she didn't leave him. She just hugged him even more intensely as if her life depended on Him. Rey consoled her by rubbing her back. All he got in response was more tears. Suddenly Taani stopped. He got even more scared. He pulled out of the hug.
" What happened, Taani ?" He asked with a concerned voice.
" Rey.. He's.. I mean Avi.. He's moving.. He will come near me.. And he might.. Do something.. You know he tried to kiss me... I was crying and screaming.. But all in vain... He.. I told him to go away... But he didn't.. Rey, I'm scared.. What if he wakes up?.. What if he does something to me again?... OH, no.. What if?..." And she went on.

" Don't worry Taani. I'm here and I won't let him do anything " Rey said with an assuring voice.
" But why weren't you here when he did that to me? Why weren't you here when I needed you the most? Why did you believe that bas***d over me? WHY, Dammitt ! Oh, god. I don't even know why you guys weren't talking to me.. All this time, I tried telling you that he isn't a good guy but You.. I hate you, Mr Reyaansh Singhania. I HATE YOU. You're the same as that Avi. Both of you tried to hurt me. Both of you! No wait. He's better cuz he hurt me physically but you.. You made my life worse than ever." She screamed at him venting out her anger she had kept in herself for days.

" Taani.. I'm sorry. And I love you -" he was cut short by her laughter.
" Oh God.. Hahahahahaha You love me? Hahahahahaha " Taani continued to laugh till her stomach ached.
" Taani I - " Rey said with a visibly hurt voice.
" Love? That's what you call Love? Abandoning the person you love when she needs you the most? Trusting a bas***d more than the person you love? You don't love me, Reyaansh Singhania because you don't destroy the person you love ! " Taani screamed at him releasing all the hurt feelings she had from the past 2 months.
On the other hand, Rey was speechless. He knew he was at fault. He knew he didn't had the right to apologize. He just cried. His eyes were moist. He had no idea what to do.
Taani stood up with difficulty. She winced in pain and when Rey offered her hand, she pushed him away.
" Taani ... " He stood up, tried to keep up with Taani who was walking as fast as she could. He held her hand, and tried to apologized but she collapsed in his arms.
" Taaanniii " He screamed fearing the worst.

Precap: Doctor visits Taani ; Rey's confrontation of what happened and apologizes. Will Taani forgive him? What will be her reply?
