As I stepped out of my house I saw Sharon coming out of the front door. She was wearing a simple white elegant dress, but it seemed as if she was making the dress look prettier. She didn't have much of makeup applied but she was carrying something I loved, her beautiful smile. She looked at me and passed another little smile. It felt as if things are soon going to fall in place. While she went and sat on the back seat, I settled myself on the front one with Rey. Soon he drove us somewhere we didn't even know of.
We entered the place and a beautiful beach stood in front of us. It was lit from all the corners and placed was a bonfire in the middle. There were sheets all around the bonfire where people were sitting and having some barbeque food. At the left hand side I could see soft live music being played along with some couple swaying to it. How I had dreamt of spending time with Sharon at such a place. We went and inside and Rey spoke to the manager who let us all in.
" Rey yeh kaunsi jagah hai? I haven't come here before. " Sharon said "But I must say it's a beautiful place. And neither is it formal. You can just come here relax and have some good time with friends." She stood there admiring the place and the beauty since beaches had been her weakness and she would just jump with excitement even by the slight mention of it
" Sharon this place has recently opened." Rey said. " Though this place looks as if it is just filled with western culture, if you closely notice, it's a full on desi place. You know the soft music that is being played there is old Hindi love songs. Aur yahan par sirf desi Indian kebab milte hai along with obviously desi sharab" He said as he led us to the bonfire.
We settled ourselves near the bonfire and got ourselves some drinks as well. The sweet little chatters coming form everywhere were filling the atmosphere. While Sharon was busy thinking about her plan, I was busy cursing his life. It ended up to Rey only starting a conversation.
" My day just went off sleeping. But haan, waise tune mujhe chai bheja?" I asked still confused with all the chai happening that took place.
" Chai? Main kya itne vella dikhta hoon tujhe ki out of all main tujhe chai bhejunga"
" Oye main toh bas aise puch raha tha. "
" Haan toh mil gaya na answer."
" but jisne bh bheji itni bakwas thi. Main toh ek sip lekar hi phek diya. Chai bheji toh atleast dhanki toh honi chaahiye thi"
" Hahaha. Tab toh pakka Vicky aur Nil ka kaam hi hoga."
" What the hell. Tum sab ladke ek jaise hi hote ho. Shameless." Sharon said leaving both of us confused.
" Tum kyun itni defensive ho rahi ho?" Rey said with me nodding.
" Exactly, aise bol rahi ho jaise khud chai banake bheji ho?" I added.
" Hun? Haan, main kyun defensive? Haan, main isliye defensive ho rahi hun kyunki I'm a girl. Uss ladki ne itne pyaar se chai banayi and tum dono uska Mazak uda rahe ho"
" And how are you so sure it's a girl. Ladka bhi toh ho sakta hai" With this comment of Rey I busted out into fits of laughter. But I could see Sharon getting annoyed moment by moment. I had never seen her so concerned for a girl she didn't even know. All she was doing was making me confused.
" You both are so annoying. Just go to hell," She screamed at both of us and left. I bit my lip as I thought maybe we shouldn't have done that. I saw her moving towards the shore till she settled at near the waves letting the water just slip through her feet.
" Rey thoda zyada hogaya kya?" I asked still not mentally relaxed. The fact that I had upset Sharon was eating me form within. " Arey, main aur Sharon ne aise logon ke baarein mein bachpan se baat ki hai. God knows kya ho gaya hai use ab. Tu chinta mat kar, I'm sure thode der baad, jab uska gussa thanda hojaye, vo vapas aa jayegi. Waise bhi agar uska mood off hota hai aur koi usse pacify karne ki koshish karta hai, vo aur gussa ho jaati hai. So I would suggest rehne dey. Achcha chal I ll just get myself another drink."
As I saw Rey leaving, I was still not convinced. I shifted my eyes over Sharon. Her back was facing me hiding her face. I was feeling sad. Probably even my slightest comment made her upset. Not holding myself back anymore, I made my way to the shore settling myself beside her.
"Hey" I tried to start the conversation. She looked at me and again started gazing at the sea. I must say she was just looking beautiful under the sunset. The soft breeze that was running was making her hair fly just adding a charm to her beauty. I sat there admiring her till her voice broke me out of my trance. " kya kar rahe ho idhar" I was taken aback by surprise. This was not her usual voice, daring confident, bold. But a sweet soft murmur that is used by her at rare occasions. I looked at her and passed a small smile, she smiled back. We both sat there, looking at each other. That moment words weren't needed to express our words. Our eyes did the job. I could see some pain her eyes. A pain that was deeper than just our break up. A lone tear escaped her eyes and I wiped it off using my thumb. She gave me a forced smile and we both sat there looking at the sea, enjoying the moment.
After a while I saw her getting up and dusting her dress. I gave her questioned look. " Bhook lag rahi hai. Chalo?" I got up and we both went towards the bonfire. I looked out for Rey but couldn't spot him anywhere. I checked my phone and saw a message from Rey. I'm at the bar with some childhood friends I bumped into. Once you and Sharon are done, let me know. I'll join you guys' I was going to reply to Rey when I thought its better I don't. He is meeting them after a while and its better I let him enjoy.
We both sat near the bonfire where one of the waiters was serving us hot barbecue food that included all the kebabs and tandoors. We could hear the people singing and the guitar strumming to which everyone were dancing. This wasnt like the one which we had seen earlier, which was more of a party place, but this one gave a more subtle feeling.
2-3 people came towards us wearing white frocks and flower hair garlands and pulled us towards the singers where all the couples were dancing. Probably they assumed us to be a couple. We both turned around to leave but then they yet again stopped us. We were left with no option but to dance. I place my hands around her waist while she sets hers on my shoulder. We start swaying tot he music and in no time Sharon had placed her head on my chest and was swaying tot he music. I dug my face inside her hair and we continued to be like that. " I love you" she suddenly said. Not like the one someone uses when they are expressing their feelings, but this one was just a gentle murmur or the way someone sings a small lullaby. "I love you more" She looks up at me gives me a small peck on my cheek and again digs her face into my chest. we continue to be like that swaying to the blissful music.
