part of me wants to Arjun...but another part of me wants karan... 😆

but i guess bigger part is taking side of Karan which is in turn taking a toll on me 😃

The saying "Back with a bang" applies to your writing more often than not. Here we are once again, back with a bang.

It is interesting to note Shyama's behavior these days. Unknowingly, every time there is a mention of marriage or anything remotely related, she is thinking about Arjun. She seems helpless in this regard... She is helplessly in love!

You have brought about the mix of generations very well here. Shyama's family, more specifically her father is (for lack of a better way to put it) having her hooked up with young men that she can fall in love with. Not an indication of an orthodox character. However, everyone else in her family, her cousins, grand mother etc seem to come from a different age. I know this has a lot to do with exposure to other cultures. This part kind of makes me think of this story as an ancient folklore in itself.

Finally, although I want to believe that it is Arjun that she bumped into, knowing you, it could be Adithya as well (You did not mention him through-out this update and he was supposed to be going with them too). I don't know if I am becoming Sherlock holmes myself... but I hope it is the former and not the latter. Fingers crossed.

May I offer another perspective? Knowing Shyama, do you think she will show obeisance towards the man her father will pick for her? She is only bound to revolt. But he cannot entirely leave the decision to her either and wait for eternity to have her married. So, the man has resorted to lesser means and is using the leverage Vishwa brings to the scene. As of this update, you might have already noted that Draupad has not made a mention about the prospects to her.

Hmm! But why is that uncommon with families that have businesses to run? I have had cousins go through such set-ups and have more weirder stories to tell.
