The lotus is a very important symbol in the Sanatan Dharma, the flower on which many deities sit on. The lotus bud symbolizes spiritual potential as the lotus arises from dirty or unclean water to bloom into a pure and unpolluted flower. It is also a symbol of purity and revivification.
I feel Shyama is like the lotus flower, as much of her growth has been in a secluded world and she is now emerging to become a part of the world she will belong to, with Arjun and that may not be a comfortable one. Beautiful, conscious and determined; leaving the securities of a guarded life and embracing the unknown in the form of Arjun.
Does Shyama like the colour blue because of Vishwa? It is after all the colour that covers a large chunk of nature the sky and the water bodies. Lord Krishna spent his life protecting humanity and destroying evil, hence the preference to the colour blue.
This night and the time spent together, will help them form opinions and arrive at decisions. Shyama may have led a privileged life that does she suffers from a Marie Antoinette syndrome. Arjun on the other hand is dealing with a few things and that is apparent, why would a well-educated man take up the role of an instructor for any reason, more to come I guess.
