Yes, Gayatri and Rey's relationship wasn't on good terms.. but that doesn't mean, she has no idea what her son is? Rey denied her.. she never stepped back.. and whatever problems occurred after when he was almost near to at that stage where a person should finalize his career for the life time.. means, his childhood and all the way long, he gained his mother's love, attention. And, she is his mom.. lol! That's the enough explaination on how she knows, he will never hurt physically Taani! :)

Well, Raj left Taani but he didn't stop loving her. He chose Kia over Taani. But, let me tell you. He hide his sister for so long. Firstly, Rey is taking revenge on him because he trusted him, they were like brothers. And, his brother hide his own sister from world don't know how many years. So, Rey of course used the logic, if he hide his sis.. and still kept in contact then he must care deeply for her. Right now, Raj is a stupid dog. But, before that he was the best bro also.
