Chapter Four

Sorry- and to her? Had he heard it right? May be not. He asked ma'am for confirming what she said. "What ma'am?" "I said, say sorry to her!" Ma'am said, her voice rising. "But ma'am-" Rey tried to say, but was cut off by ma'am's sharp voice. "No buts, Reyansh. Apologise fast. Only 8 minutes are left for the period to get over," she spoke as she peeped in her watch.

Now it was Kria's turn to have fun. She smirked, victory evident in her eyes. "Fast Reyansh!" ma'am spoke in a hasty tone. KD shuddered in his surprised self.

"Sorry," he finally said meekly. "Louder, Reyansh," ma'am said. "Sorry," he said little louder in a defeated and angry tone, his head down. "It's okay," Kria said, suppressing her laughter. Finally that day came when he had to apologise her.

"Hmm- now don't repeat this." Ma'am said gesturing Kria to go and sit in her place. Kria nodded slightly in affirmation and went and sat back in her place- behind the bench which was beside Rey's. Rey sat on the left, towards Kria's bench, and Kria sat on the right, towards Rey's.

As she came, he made a face and coughed falsely. Kria adjusted herself as she looked towards him fluttering her eye lashes in the response to his cough with a simper on her face. Rey looked at her back, having an aggressive expression on her face. The war had started.
