oh...now what will khushi do?

There is this quote that I've always held on to, from a novel I studied in class : 'What it is to choose between self and security'. That theme is portrayed so beautifully in this part. Khushi's torment and her conflict, the flashback, everything is vivid - the scene is set from the very beginning, where one can tell Khushi is not happy on her own wedding day. And as the reason becomes evident, one follows in her footsteps and experiences her pain too. I can only imagine how she must have felt upon receiving that letter - it's almost like a cruel joke. After she's finally moved on, the ghosts of the past come back to haunt her. And then I think about Arnav, who disappeared from her life, and it makes me wonder if he still remembers his own words and intends to go through with it (because he wrote the letter before breaking up with her, if I'm not wrong), and four years later resurfaces with the same words I guess she's always wanted to hear, and ended up hearing, but not from him. The complexity of her situation and how painful it must be makes this part so very intense. I'm honestly intrigued to see if Khushi will end up choosing between 'self' or 'security' - and all I can say is I hope she doesn't regret her decision, whatever it is. And there's this other part of me that wants to know the other side of the story as well - where is Arnav, what has he been doing, was he really being honest about his reasons for breaking up with her, and most importantly, if he really is waiting for her, and he moved away with the certainty that he'd already (maybe indirectly) proposed to her and decided he wanted her as his wife. So yeah, pretty excited for the next part!
