Beautiful! I know one should not speak badly of the dead but Sashi, what the hell man? Money does not buy happiness, it did not for him. Wrecking his daughter's life was simply rotten in my book. I know she feels thatbArnav should have told her but he had so much at stake, how could he? Glad he had the guts to send the message and thank god it came at the right time. Sometimes, you need something as strong as this to make you re-evaluate a decision that you may have been coerced into however gentle the process was. Glad she took the ownership in front of the guests for the wedding cancellation. Kudos to this Karan for accepting her decision. There is someone out there for him too. Best of all I like that she did not simply jump back where they left off but will take the baby steps to ensure this is what she wants.

Oh, this was so so so very lovely *sigh* The title is so completely apt - fate brought them together in the end, in the form of a letter written four years ago, and the idea is so novel and awe-inspiring. What I really loved about this TwoShot is how very human all the characters are, and how realistic the story-line is - Karan's reaction was spot-on, not like some self-sacrificing Bollywood side-character, Payal was hesitant and doubtful, Arnav was forced to make the decision between his sister and the girl he loved without becoming some unrealistic, all-conquering hero, and most of all Shashi and Khushi. I love that you have given some justification to Shashi's behaviour and actions - I don't approve of them at all, I think he was being completely ludicrous, but you gave this valid reason of exactly why he turned out to be the way he is. Most of all though, I loved Khushi - how she decided to break off the wedding not because she was suddenly hopeful of meeting Arnav again but she had accepted there was no way this marriage would secure either her or Karan's happiness. In the end she made a very tough decision, and I respect she did it before it was too late.

Another realistic, non-filmy part of the story I adored was the fact that she didn't go running into Arnav's arms at the end - trust is a fragile thing and so easily broken, and I'm glad that they're both willing to take baby steps towards repairing their relationship instead of jumping into the thick of things like the last four years hadn't happened. It was a touching, sweet, tender scene, at the end, kind of like the sun rising at the edge of the sea, marking a new day, new hope.

And aww Arnav...my heart melts for him. To be put in such a tough situation, and yet he did not cave completely, kept waiting for her...I'm so glad I didn't jump to conclusions after the first part, because I'd have hated myself if I had misjudged this Arnav.

Must also say I love the expressions you use in your writing - it seems effortless and has this flair, such as the part where you point out the irony of Shashi's money not being to save him in the end, or Khushi questioning why she feels this way on her wedding day, or how Garima passed away with a smile on her face but took Shashi's with her. And those are just a few examples :P

Wonderful, beautiful TwoShot :) Thank you so much for the PM and the Scrap!
